Increasing the Arsenal (SOLO)

Ri stood on top of the mountain once again high above the world or the soul society , he’d found him self returning here constantly for training and with flash step the journey here didn’t have long. The top of the mountain was something of a plateau and made for excellent training group.

Ri had decided to further his studies into kidou even though it was looked down upon in squad eleven Ri thought it a useful weapon and regardless of the squads views continued training himself in it.

He took a few deep breath as he prepared to practice a Kidou he liked the sound of but from the look of it ,it wasn’t an easy one to use correctly. He’d ‘borrowed a few reinforced dummy for his training for the academy.

“An array of bees sting you with the force of many” Ri chanted slowly as he focused his reiatsu towards left hand concentrating everything on the kidou. “Hado thirteen. Killer Bee”

Ri watched as only six or seven small yellow object launched themselves out his hand but they didn’t get far and dissipated a few meter away for Ri’s hand. Ri wasn’t discourage he knew it wasn’t going to happen straight away for him nothing ever came at easy.

“An array of bees sting you with the force of many” Ri chanted again this time placing his right hand on his left wrist and allowing reiatsu to follow to his left hands finger tips that were pointing at the dummy. “Hado thirteen. Killer Bee”

This time Ri knew it was going to work and he was right more yellow object then he could count shot out of his hand and stuck the dummy inflicting small cuts and nicks all over it. Ri was pleased but didn’t like that way most of the shots missed and hit the rock behind the dummy.

“An array of bees sting you with the force of many” He chanted again placing his hands back together but this time he pushed his left finger together so the point in the same direction. “Hado thirteen. Killer Bee”

This time the bee’s shot out fast and in a more confined pattern and only separated when they came near the dummy and struck multiply spots again causing light damage but to a person the serious of cuts could weaken them greatly.

Ri took a while longer training hado thirteen and was getting better at it, he was able to cast it without the chant but it was very weak with out the chant. When the dummy looked like it had enough he decide to try a new Kidou and give the poor dummy a rest.

He took a moment a recalled one of the kidou that he’d remember laughing at. It was Bakudo fourteen oil slick and he remember it being funny because when the instructor showed him it he started falling over everywhere.

“Topple over, spill into the Ocean, Pollute the Waters” Ri chanted as he joined his hands together and allowed his reiatsu to concentrate itself at his hands. “Bakudo fourteen oil slick”

Ri had expect relatively easy kidou to work straight away but to his great disappointment only a radius of half a foot around him was covered in oil. He took a step back and in his own stupidity stood on the oil and feel hard on the ground.
He quickly got up embarrassed but remember he was alone and took a moment to rub his head before joining his hands again but this time he let his reiatsu flow down through him to the ground

“Topple over, spill into the Ocean, Pollute the Waters .Bakudo fourteen oil slick” Ri said again as he concentrated on sending his reiatsu toward the ground. The oil spread it’s self much further out this time but didn’t cover all the area Ri wanted it to.

He withdrew his reiatsu which made the oil disappear and he re-chanted the Kidou again and again till the area around him and the dummy was over in a reasonable tick layer of oil.

Ri carefully made his way across the oil soaked ground to a large rock where he’d left a small backpack. He’d stuffed some food and a change of clothe in there as well as a few other things that might come in handy. He took out some rice cakes and happily ate them as the oil started to vanish.

When not a trace of the oil was left Ri stepped back out to the middle of the plateau and started going through the mental list of kidous he wanted to learn. One came in mind but it wasn’t something he wanted for battle but more for annoying situations where he need a speedy departure.

“Bakudo fifteen ,blinding Flash” Ri chanted as he held his left hand up at his face with his right finger placed on the lefts palm but to great disappointment nothing happened at all , this surprised Ri he’d pegged this one as easy one but he was wrong

He deiced to take a breaking and allowed his reiatsu to replenish it self before trying again hoping that was the problem as he used a lot of it in the other two kidous.

After a little nap Ri returned to his position and focused himself and his reiatsu well returned his hand to their former position. He waited for his reiatsu to build up in one place then shouted “Bakudo fifteen, blinding Flash”

A bight flash was emitted from Ri that would blind anyone near him for a few moment if not longer but to his annoyance it had blinded him as well.
He wasn’t happy in fact he was furious which something he become normally. He took a moment to calm himself down before he turned his hands to the position.

“Bakudo fifteen, blinding Flash” He said quietly and to his own enjoyment the same bright flash was emitted but he wasn’t affected in the slightest. He recast the kidou a few time to make sure he had it down before moving on to the next kidou.

Ri turned his focused back to the dummy he’d finally deiced to try a very difficult kidou that he wasn’t even sure he had a chance of using correctly. He spent a lot more time focusing his mind and reiatsu for this Kidou.

The kidou was Bakudo thirty the triple piercing beak beam. It was an attack that pinned the target to a surface by slamming their body to the surface in three place and holding them there in a perfect triangle.

He held out his right hand with two fingers sticking up towards the sky and the rest tightly closed. He traced out the shape of a triangle in the air and as he did a yellow glow formed as perfect triangle with each corner glowing brightly


“Bakudo thirty the triple piercing beak beam” Ri said as he finished tracing the triangle and then pushed the centre of it. The corned shot out yellow dragger like strike that shot through the air with intense force but as they reached the dummy they merely hit it and then dissipated.


Ri felt to a knee a he took deep breath he’d used up a lot of Reiatsu today but he stood up defiantly determined to push his limit as far as he could because that was the only way he knew to make himself stronger.

He stood facing the dummy focusing his mind spirit. The wind blew hard against Ri’s face but he didn’t move an inch in fact it was fleshing and helping him concentrated on the kidou.

He recalled his academy days when the teacher had used this kidou on Ri and remember that the triangle he formed was smaller and glowed brighter. Ri held up his middle and index finger up with the rest of his finger closed and focused his reiatsu at his finger tips

This time his finger tip glowed brightly as he formed the triangle again but this time the triangle was smaller and shone like three stars. He allowed his entire reiatsu to flow into the triangle without holding anything back.

“Bakudo thirty the triple piercing beak beam” Ri called out as he push his right hand through the centre of the triangle and sent the three golden yellow spikes at the dummy. This time they were upon the dummy faster then Ri expected.

The dummy was forced back was both hands were pinned again a large rock behind it and so was it waist. Ri was drain of all nearly all his reiatsu but he was to happy with himself.

Ri walked back to his bag and took out another rice cake that vanished within seconds. Ri took a while recovering and to his great surprise over that entire time his kidou was still in effect but then again the dummy wasn’t fighting against it.

Ri released the dummy which feel to pieced when he removed his kidou. Ri smiled and looked at the remains of the dummy. He started up at the nearly dark sky and felt the wind push against him. He flash stepped off the plateau happy with himself and his progress.
