| Noboru Ryukyu, a trusted member of the Ryukyu noble family though not by blood, was assigned to tutor the fledgling shinigami Kaya Ryukyu. As a direct descendant she held higher status than he, who had spend years devoting his services to the family. All that time spent just so he could teach some brat to swing a sword...
Noboru strode towards the practice area in which he usually gave his lessons. He'd taught her enough to defend herself against a hollow or common street thug, now it was time to test her skills. "Lady Kaya, today we will be taking your training to the next level." Kaya had been issued her zanpakutos the day prior and was instructed to familiarize herself with them and to get a feel for their individual weights and balances. "Your father has instructed me to escort you through the senkaimon into the human world. There you will utilize the skills you've learned to dispatch a hollow in a controlled environment. Whenever you are ready we will depart."

| Kaya was merely training her painting abilities, makin a colored painting of the yard, in beautiful sunlight, while it bored her alot as she would rather be training in differend arts than actual art, but alas it was something she used to do, and droppin it now would be a big waste. Though as time passed she let out a sigh, putting some finnishing touched to the painting, rose up from the chair and strode out to the training ground, having the time on her side. She paused having reached the ground, some time before her training would arrive, as he did she was sitting plainly eyes closed, opening them as the man spoke.
She looked up, as he finnished speaking she raised an eyebrow, uncertain about this explanation, something seemed off, why would this be the first she had heard of this, she knew her father was a busy man yet this seemed wierd. "My father issued this... strange..." She stared at the man, yet he had never seemed to give reason for distrust before and was atrusted member of the family, so she didn't see why she should show him the disrespect of not trusting him. She raised herself and adjusted her clothes, brush what dust might have gathered. "Well I see no reason why we shouldn't be going then.. lead the way~" she smiled politely, while she felt butterflies fill her stomach she wasn't one to show such feelings, knowing that this was something her father had issued it would be a chance to prove herself, a chance she wasn't going to let slide.

| Noboru lead the girl to the family's private senkaimon, no one was around to witness its activation. A bright light filled the small room sheltering the gate as the doors began to slide open for the pair. The tutor stepped up to the doorway and confidently strode into the light, leaving Kaya to follow behind. Once closed securely behind them, the gate reopened to reveal a chilly night sky somewhere within the city of Tokyo, Japan.
Noboru stepped out onto what appeared to be the roof of an apartment building, dozens of humans slumbered beneath their feet. Unknown to the innocents, a battle was about to begin between the supernatural forces of good and evil right on top of them.
A shrill howl echoed through the night as a figure appeared on an adjacent rooftop. A winged hollow of enormous size, equivalent to that of a school bus if its wings were folded up, peered out towards a small playground. Within the area of the playground sat a small boy with a blue ball. A rather short chain hung from his chest, rattling as he tossed the ball in the air and proceeded to run after it. The child appeared to be no more than five years old and must have been wandering the city for a while to have his chain reduced to such a short length.
The hollow licked around its mouth as it imagined devouring the little morsel, its eyes scanned the area as if searching for something that was not there. After a moment it chuckled to itself and coiled up the muscles in its hind legs, preparing to pounce onto the small boy. From this height the landing alone would likely kill the child though knowing hollows, it would likely play with its food for several minutes before slaughtering him.
"There's your target, it doesn't seem to have noticed you yet. Use this to your advantage and kill it quickly and efficiently." Noboru ordered as he scanned the area for any other threats.

| Kaya followed the man politely, she knew the way though she wasn't sure she was in a place where she should lead after all he was the teacher here, rank didn't matter he was the one doing the teaching. She felt her stomach knob up as they was goign through the senkaimon gates. As the door finally opened on the other side, she took a deep breath, this would be the first time she had ever set foot in the real world, it felt strange in a way, as if the place didn't seem as comfortable to her. She felt a shiver run down her spine, shaking it off herself as she took a look around, this palce was so strange in comparison to her home, she had been born into the soul society being a new soul instead of a reincarnated one she had no memory or even remote feelins within her spirit about this place, so it all just seemed weird.
Her eyes widened spotting the hollow, ofcourse she had read and done training for things such as this one, but it all just seemed surreal that she was to face a hollow before even having graduated, she had never heard of anything like this happening before, but alas the goal of making her father proud was the one thing that made her snap out of her fright, taking another deep breath.
She blinked looking down at the boy, shaking her head looking over to Noboru hesistating for a moment. "But the boy... Hai" She nodded slowly and silently pulling forward one of her two zanapkuto's taking a brief moment to calm her senses before she started to move, while she moved fast she was more careful to take it easy not wanting to get caught, she was planning to take it safely wanting to go from an angel that allowed her to cut the mask immediatly, though seeing the boy and her mind being one big mess about this led her in the mistake to simply go in from the behind makign a jump at the end, swinging her sword down onto the hollow with all her might she muster at this point, but she was frightened by the size, giving a sliht dismay in the power.

| The hollow pounced, springing from the building with enough force to cause the building to shake and its windows to shatter. Its eyes narrowed as it closed in on the boy, its mouth opening to bite into the child. Would it take an arm, or maybe a leg? No, not a leg. The hollow wanted the boy to be able to run so it could be chased. As the beast closed distance a shimmer of light caught it's attention. "Byakurai!" A streak of pale blue lightning shot forth from behind the cover of a patch of small trees. The attack nearly missed the creature and whatever damage it did cause was minimal.
The hollow's wings sprang forth from the beast, catching air resistance from the fall and lifting it into the night sky. It soared over head assessing it's attacker, a young man, in his early twenties by the look of him, wearing street clothes yet carrying a zanpakuto. "Shinigami." It hissed, switching its gaze from the man back to the child only to see the boy running away. "You've cost me my snack, now you'll be my dinner!"
Noboru looked to Kaya, her attack had missed by only inches, her zanpakuto cutting deep into the stone roof. She seemed focused on the boy more than the hollow, that will cost her. Now was the perfect time to make his move, while the girl was distracted with the fight. The boy's slaughter would buy him enough time to reactivate the senkaimon and slip away before the girl could notice. He produced from his robes a small knife, using it to cut the air he summoned the senkaimon that would take him back to the Ryukyu Manor. 'Farewell brat. No one's going to be looking for your body out here.' he thought to himself, smirking. Within seconds the gate was already closing behind him and his problems left behind.

| Kaya cursed carelessly, having walked into this one. Her eyes drifted down onto the hollow, just in time too see the Kido. Uncertain what it had been she figured this must be part of the whole "controlled enviroment" thing, for now atleast. She wasn't going to sit around this time around, know that the boy was running for his life, she knew she had to act sooner or later. She was carelss, not even paying the slightest attention to what happened behind her, had she done that alot of trouble could have been avoided. She dashed over to the next roof, trying to get a better position, as the one she had wasn't nearly good enough.
She kept having her atention split in three ways, one being the hollow, two being the one who had shot the kido and thirdly the kid soul. She knew it was her responsebility to help the soul pass on, but the hollow was her primary target so the boy would have to wait for a bit. She took aim and found a viable spot to pounce from, just having to wait for the hollow to move lightly, her heartbeat racing faster by the second. She took a deep breath, calming her senses another time, as she then jumped out sword pointed down.
Kaya felt the air brush over her as she was falling down onto the hollow, aiming right for its spine, wanting to land their stabbing the blade deep into the hollow, not nearly enough to kill it she knew. But she couldn't let the hollow roam around as it wanted to. Though she was no where near ready for taking this hollow on alone, being this close she could feel the power of the hollow, not something she could easily overcome. She wanted to pull back yet she had a hard time pulling her blade back, only causing further harm as she nudges and twists the blade inside of the hollow. "Dammit..."

| The hollow howled in pain as the shinigami plunged the blade into its back. It tried to shake the girl but her blade had caught bone, causing her to remain stationary on the hollow's back as she tried to free her blade. Twisting the blade only caused the hollow to roar louder, angering it as the pain continued to rack its body.
The creature flew to towards a building, tilting its body and crashed into its facing. It began to grind its back against the face of the building like a person trying to scratch an itch with the corner of a wall. As the hollow began to descend it kicked off of the wall and readjusted its wings to glide toward the ground. There it would take care of the little shinigami who fired the lightning spell.
Sakon watched as his spell fizzled as it hit the hollow. He was too inexperienced even after all his solo practices to do any sort of damage with his kido. 'Alright.' He thought, 'If kido won't work then I'll just have to-' His thought was interrupted as the hollow began to howl in pain. Something had landed on its back and was hurting it. The hollow began to ram his back into a building, trying to knock off whatever it was that attacked it. Sakon noticed a woman pull a sword out of the creature and dismount right as the beast made contact with the building. She landed just outside of his field of vision behind some trees and bushes. Whoever this woman was, she seemed to have a common enemy with him, that made her an ally as far as Sakon was concerned... At least for the time being.
The hollow glided back towards the ground. This was his chance, as long as the thing wasn't in the air he could hurt it. The shinigami charged out from cover and closed distance, drawing his zanpakuto and readying it for an overhead slash.

| Kaya flinched and pulled, staying on this monsters back was extreemly dangerous and she was no where near ready to do something this daring, but she had hoped this hollow was weaker. If she had known she would have taken a differend approach for sure. Her eyes flinched to the side, seeing the walls getting closer, the hollow wasn't stupid aparently. She took a deep breath to either embrace the hit if this last strong pull didn't work. Luckily for it it did just in time for her to jump off the hollow, though the presure from the hollow smashing into the wall, let her land less gracefully than she wished to. Landing on her back she let her breath sink out of her, finding this to be an impossible task, she barely had kept hold of her Zanpakuto, now just thinking this over. She was slightly hidden for the time being.
She knew she had to change thing around, and finding the caster of the kido before would be the best choice of dirrection, she pondered if it was what the hallenge was, to beat down her pride to go seek out help, but she shaked her head, this was too stron a challene for a cimple matter of asking for help, besides it wasn't like she had failed something where she should've asked for help.
Kaya decided it would be more than enough time spent thinking, she got up moving closer taking the hollow in for a moment, then trying to figure out where the unknown attacker could be hiding. It wasn't long where she then spotted the fellow charge at the hollow, she waited a bit before she was sure the hollows attention would be off her, knowing that it would then turn towards the guy, where she then took charge wanting to slash the bottom of the hollowhile aiming to get closer to the fellow Shinigami, she couldn't think of it being anything but a Shinigami. Kido wasn't something anyone could just learn afterall, or well they could but it was most likely a Shinigami afterall. "Hey you there..?!" She called out, trying to get the guys attention while trying to keep her movement going while making the slashes she could againast the hollows legs.

| "Hey, you there!" shouted a female's voice? Sakon stole a glance as he closed the last few yards between him and the hollow. It was a shinigami, and a fairly pretty one at that. He switched his attention back on the hollow as it raised an enormous clawed hand to swipe at Sakon. His blade sang as it sliced through the air, coming down on the offered appendage. The blade sank into the beast's flesh, spraying blood onto the young shinigami's clothes.
The beast howled as yet another blade cut into it, this time from behind the knee. It hiss and lounged forward, leaping over Sakon into a more advantageous position atop a jungle-gym. "Who the hell are you? I can handle this alone! I don't need more Soul Reapers getting in my way!" he shouted in response, turning to once again face the threat looming over them. 'You'll just end up getting killed like the others...'

| Kaya kept her wits about, failing here was innogociable. It was not going to happen, and this guy didn't seem to really know the term teamwork. Though she was going to have her way, and that she was determinated of. He wasn't to bad at usein his sword however, so she knew that the guy knew how to handle himself. She took a deep breath as the hollow leaped away, breaking her cover being underneath the beast.
She stepped back, quickly. She wasn't going to stay within reach from the hollows new found position. "More Sould Reapers... what the hell are you talking about?!" She had dropped her noble manners, as in a fight nobility didn't matter. She didn't really care for this guys personal thoughts of this, but she knew he wasn't going to be able to handle it himself, nor could she. Not unless they thought of some teamwork, some plan. She ran forward, to to push him into a place out of sigh from the hollow as it was hoping she was fast enough to escape the hollow for a brief moment. "That hollow isn't a simple fledgeling... we gotta think about this one..." she spoke out, slowly leaning out too keep an eye on the hollow, her hair softly bbrushing over her back, as she finally calmed her breath.

| The hollow's eyes narrowed as the pair ducked behind a brick park bathroom building. It began licking the wound on its arm, chuckling as the gash began to close once again. Blood dripped from its hind leg as it leapt from the jungle gym to the monkey bars, bowing the steel bars with its immense weight.
"There isn't a whole lot to think about. This thing killed two soul reapers already, it's much stronger than the last time I faced it and I had the element of surprise on my side that time." Sakon cursed as he peered around the corner to see the creature circling their position. "If we don't do something this thing is going to kill us and hunt down that boy. Don't you know any spells or anything that could help us pin this thing?"
The hollow howled as if to taunt the shinigami into leaving their cover. It could easily smash through the building and gut them both with its claws but it wanted to chase them. The delicious aroma of fear filled its nostrils, tempting it to pounce though it would wait a few seconds more for its leg to heal. It wished its tongue could reach the wound the female shinigami had inflicted, for it would heal in a matter of seconds instead of bleeding over the course of several minutes.
Rain began to fall as a low rumbling of thunder sounded in the distance. A storm was brewing and would soon be on them. Dark clouds began to block what little moonlight they had, if only to make matters worse for them.

| This boy, was all Kaya really thought, they way he moved about and talked really annoyed her in a way. Ofcourse she had to be friendly, the only choice for survival really. and with that in mind she swayed away those negative thoughts. Really not wanting to die over something as stupid as some guys attitude. She moved out lightly, to take a glance while listening.
She tiled her head back however slightly confussed for a moment, it was pretty basic afterall but this guy didn't seem like the knew of them. Yet he used kido before she he would've had to have recieved some sort of training. On the other hand it sounded like he had been tracking the hollow, and through sensing alone she could tell he wasn't exactly a full fledged shinigami. With that some supicsion was rising about him.
Kaya snapped out of it with a nod, and a sigh. This was so basic he would have to know about it right. The howl in her ears really got her going. "Yeah ofcourse... Bakudo number 9 should do the trick..." She watched him carefully, this was basic afterall so should he allready know something like this.
The rain started pouring down she snickered, for some reason rain always brought her a mild joy. She grabbed hold of her Zanpakuto. "so let go... I start to go you bind then switch and repeat... I don't think any of us has the power to lock it for long So it'll need like 3 switches and then he should be down" She got ready to run towards the hollow only waiting for the boy to get ready aswell.
