Come if you dare... (Shin and Anna)

It was late noon. Shikuro had been dusting away in his office doing the paper work of an Vice Captain and a Captain, the past few months, if not longer. Which had given him an idea, goign out to face the worst challenges might be a bad idea, he needed a warm up so to speak. And he needed to make another appearance at the academy, so if he wanted to get his blood up and running he would have to mix those. So through the whole academy had been put up a note. "come to either see or experience the skills be the current acting Vice Captain of 11th division." Ofcourse some other details about what it was all about, but the main idea was that you could either come and watch or join in on the activity. Which was why Shikuro was now headed for the academy's training grounds, he ofcourse had brought his Zanpakuto, though he hardly beleived it was neccesary. He strolled through the courtyard, over to the spot mentioned. Ofcourse some students and other people had shown up.

Shikuro had a smile on his lips steching out for a bit, before he would look out on the people who had shown then on the time nd figured he'd wait a bit longer giving a chance for all who'd wanna join to come join. As he thought he had waited for long enough, he stepped out to confront the crowd. "So we all know why we're here... So it all comes down a single question do wanna keep your safe stop out there... or do you dare get out here and take me on..?" He smiled the Sun was slowly falling down from the sky as the time went by, ofcourse that only made the shadows grow longer, while that usually would put him at favor that wasn't a thing he could count into his equations. Unless things went extreemly bad, he couldn't know if someone stronger than he would've expected showed up here. In that case he should just consider himself lucky.

He softly sctrached the back of his head listenening to the whisperes of the crowd clearly this wasn't a choice to take lightly on, ofcourse there was the sound of new students darring one another to step out, but being the first was always hard, this situation was no differend. He simpy took a step back allowing them to talk things over, and decide for themelves if this was a hoice for them.

Shin was honestly still getting used to the academy, and had only spent a few days there when an odd message showed up on one of the noticeboards, it was a challenge from the vice captain of the 11th Division, basically saying that he would accept any challengers and that any student wishing to fight him or watch him fight would be welcome. Shin pondered over it for a while and decided that he'd like to go and watch and see what the Vice-Captains are capable of. He had fought Kuro a few times in training and lost every single time rather badly, and was quite curious about the power differences. He had fought some normal shinigami before as well, and usually won because of his great speed advantage over them.

The day eventually came for the event, and everyone it seemed was heading towards the Training grounds. He followed behind the crowd until he could slip around people and make it to the front so he could see, sometimes it was a pain to be so short at the academy, it was difficult to see anything unless you were in front. The man standing in front of them all was a bit shorter than most of the people around him, but only by a little bit, he had green hair and a slight smirk on his scarred face. He seemed to be amused at the crowd for some reason and was glancing around. Then he made a challenged the crowd to make a choice, to watch and be safe, or to challenge him. Shin looked around at the crowd, but noone seemed to want to step forward and fight the Vice-Captain. After waiting a short while shin finally made up his mind, if noone else was going to challenge the Vice-Captain, he would. Shin took a deep breath and stepped out into the open of the sparring grounds, the first one to do so. His entrance was followed by a lot of conversation from the crowd, including some laughter. He thought about it for a moment and decided he should be polite and formal, so he bowed and said, "Hello, My name is Shin Kinsen, please take care of me." And then waited for his response.

Anna had been walking out of her squad barracks with a slight smile. She was going to start her training for acquiring the knowledge of her zanpakuto in about three days, and she wanted to have a bit of fun before she disappeared for a couple of days. There were multiple ways that she was told of acquiring her zanpakuto's first release, the Shikai, and she was decently excited to try and unlocking these powers. Suddenly she was hit in the face by a random piece of paper that caught the wind, and when she regained herself from the confusion of the spontaneous paper she grabbed it and started to read. It seemed that a Vice Captain wanted to be a show off and fight some academy students for a little bit of fun, and she thought it'd be interesting to watch, because she had no thoughts of actually participating. She quickly folded up the paper and looked around at the somewhat cracked walls. Seireitei needed some fixing over here seeing as some fools kept on fighting in this spot at night, but they made sure to fix anything as much as they could, so it mustn't be too much of a problem. Anna started her walk towards the academy with a slight smile. For about two days she hadn't had a moment of insanity, and this was a good thing. She probably was just being pushed around by all of the reiatsu that flowed around her every few days, and taking a break from combat and being around people like her captain was helping her relax. After a short walk she made it to the Academy.

"My my. That's some beautiful red hair that you have there. Last time somebody with red hair fought here I remember them being killed due to attempted murder. Yesterday." said a voice to her right, and she stopped. The person walked up to her, and held his zanpakuto to her throat. She couldn't see him, but she could see the blade of red that was dangerously close to killing her. "Of course, I have no problems with people that have red hair, I just thought I'd let you know." he said and then he removed the blade from her throat. "Name's Eric, 'cause I know you wanted it."

"Anna..." she said in her Northern American accent, the accent she liked to use quite a bit, but hadn't used for a while. She was probably going to use this accent a bit more often now that she thought about it. "Have a nice day, Eric."

Anna quickly made her way into the academy to hear the Vice Captain making his little speach. An interesting fight, this shall be. She walked to the very side of the group and saw a kid suddenly walk out at the sound of a battle. It was very interesting that this kid would fight against the person, but she wouldn't question his idea, and instead join him.

"Dang." she whispered to herself, and then she spoke clearly, "Me too, if you don't mind."

This wasn't the best decision she'd make, and the sad thing was she could tell that they were both stronger than her.

Quickly she thought out a plan and looked towards the younger Shinigami. She couldn't rely on him to keep her safe, and so she had to figure out whether or not she could rely on him to keep the Vice Captain distracted. Doubtful.

Then her mind strayed to the person she just met. He had a zanpakuto, and so maybe they could help teach her how to use a zanpakuto efficiently!

Shikuro crossed his arms and thought it all over, this might not be the best idea after all, if it where only one person who'd join in on this fight, it had seemed like the number of fight craving shinigami had decreased greatly, what reason there would be for that he couldn't know, but ofcourse he had to take it all into consideration. After all his division needed strong members not weaklings that choose peace as a action of fear and not for the cause of jutsice or well... a reason for fighting. He sighed deeply in releif as atleast two had stepped out, yet again these two where really something else, a girl and a boy. Well their might will be tested soon enough, perhaps it'll even help them in some way.
"Alright then... if they're ain't more participants...? We will begin in a few moments.."

He slowly walked over to the two of them, smilling casually and friendly, showing a gentle side of him. He was ofcourse a rather brutal fighter should he choose to, but the point here weren't about being brutal or anything alike that. "Okay you two listen up... No fatal blows, or well you can try at it all you want, but know that this is a spar not a fight... that being said you can get hurt as always..." He took a small break his eyes going from one to the other, making sure they had understood and as that was done he nodded. "Its a 2 on 1 not free for all... try to work together if you can, if you don't have any questions we'll be gin when you're ready" He smiled happily, and took a step back should they not have any questions for him.

As he stood there he seemed to relaxed for it to be a fighting stance, and well it wasn't. but he didn't think he'd go all out either way, his sword was kept sheathed on his back, as he watched them closely. His shoulders were relaxed and loose, all signs showed that he was giving them an opening or well atleast a chance for a first attack. And he was he just weren't going to let them hit him with ease, as that wouldn't be fair not to them nor to the crowd. He was merely being casual ofcourse, thinking things over to make sure he'd be able to controll this fight and keep it from turning ugly.

Shin stared at the newcomer for a moment, it was a red haired woman,and she didn't seem that strong, but then again he wouldn't really be able to tell how strong she was until they actually fought. He knew that the vice-captain would be strong he just wasn't sure quite how strong. It was glad when the vice-captain gave him permission to go all out, he was to remember that it was a spar though, not to the death. He wasn't really sure how well it would go but he decided that it would be best to go all out from the very start, maybe with a little bit of deception.

Shin slowly approached the vice-captain with a wide eye'd look on his face and said, "Um, I have a question, what happens if you Devour, Akumu." along with saying the last two words shin drew his blade and it transformed as he unleashed his shikai, into a weapon that was designed for nothing but brutality. It had no real name as a standard weapon, it was double ended and each side had four edges with reversed spikes on them. it also had the properties of a whip weapon, namely extending and retracting, but few people even knew about that capability because he rarely used it, but he was planning to here in this fight. He swung as hard and as fast as he could at the vice-captain, intending to follow up with as many strikes as he could as fast as he could, there would be no real restraint for him in this battle. There was no time to think, only to react he knew he was fast and his best change was to land a quick blow now, he hoped that the woman wouldn't be totally useless and could at least support him with Kido or something, at least something he wouldn't have to worry about hitting him as well.

Anna was standing there waiting for the fight to begin, and as nobody else stepped forwards she took out her weapon, ready to start. Anna wasn't going to be the first to attack, but she wasn't going to do something stupid and wait to be the last attack. The moment Shin would start, she would too. Looking over at her opponent she noted how carelessly he stood, and this would be a slight advantage. Suddenly Shin stepped forward, and surprisingly started to ask a question. However, the ending was... Not a question, and Anna knew in an instant that she had to react. She lifted her hand and pointed it directly to where the Vice Captain would move to at first in order to get out of the way of an attack, and with a quick and steady pace she spoke.

"Hado #4, Byakurai!" she said, and out came the kido. As it made its way towards the Vice Captain Anna started her way with a run towards him, but she kept her self ready for a surprise attack regardless of it being a two versus one, and she also tried to stay aware of the endless attacks that were being sent by Shin, so that she wouldn't be caught in the attacks. Why did she decide to fight against this Vice Captain? Of course he was stronger than both Shin and Anna if he went into Shikai, but both of them together might be able to defeat him unless he releases, or unless they screw up. Her mind wandered to Shin's Shikai for a couple of seconds...

Even though she knew a decent amount of information about Shikai, it was still interesting for her to see one used in front of her. She wanted to learn more about it, and seeing this little kid using a Shikai made her want to learn her Shikai too. She wanted to use it, to have the power that it holds. She needed it to protect and to empower, to help. For now, though, she'll just practice and learn.

Her mind, of course, easily snapped back to the fight and concentrated mainly on positioning and swing directions. The moment she would get near the Vice Captain she would ready herself to use another kido spell, and she would try to communicate with Shin. He was rather reckless, and that might be his downfall later on in the battle, but of course the Vice Captain wouldn't truly let them fall victim to a harmful attack... Or would he?

Shikuro stood wondering for a moment, with his eyebrow kept raised. Though surpriced he smiled, happily ofcourse knowing that he would actually have to think about this fight, as he wanted to keep doing this fight his way. He took a first step back, knowing the sword would come for him, the very visual of the weapon quickly gave the way to weapon worked away, tough it was only his experience as a Vice Captain of 11th division that allowed him to figure that one out, having seen thousands of differend weapons by now, he always had to figure out the best way to use them, both for his own sake as much for the sake to help those in need. His eyes flickered over to Anna noticing she was going to shoot a Hado he looked to the otherside, cursing knowing he couldn't just dodge as he promissed to keep this place from wrecking too much. He then stopped up, taking a fighting stance waiting for just the right time, letting the brutal sword swing against him, while his movements were at most random he could still figure out a slght patern letting his spiritual presure strenghen within his foot, sending a kick towards the blade, only his shoe taking a slight scratch as he send the blade up to block the incomming Byakurai. Ofcourse he didn't exect any damage to be done to the blade the mere surprice of the differencethe way his Zanpakuto and the explosion near the now incomming Anna should leave him with some slight momentum.

With that he started to move, even tough he hadn't expected a Shikai at this match he wasn't going to back down, he might be forced to draw his blade, that only time will tell. He dashes away from his spot not goign to just stand there, and with a shunpo he was right behind Shin wanting to keep close as that could put his shikai to disadvantage, same goes for Anna's Kido not being able to throw Hado at the fear from hitting Shin. Sending a quic well placed kick towards Shin's back wanting to send him forward, and towards Anna if he could.
