Night's Shadow ~ First meeting between the Quincy and the Hollow

The second opening of Garganta for him was preformed by a different hollow that he was stalking. Those crimson red eyes never allowed his target out of his sight, even within this general town. But, something stopped him; the sweet smell of a nearby plus. That chain within its chest only made it easier for this wolf to begin his path towards it.

Raikou pounced atop one of the buildings and began moving swiftly from rooftop to rooftop until he nailed the sound. The soul looked like he was dressed within a business suit and before him was a younger looking female -- perhaps a daughter or niece that he was attached to. The male looked desperate as he kept moving towards her and eventually he tripped and fell on his face. It was quite an amusing sight but that was the time to pounce.

A giant shadow overcame him in that moment Raikou pounced from the rooftop and landed on top of the middle aged man. The beasts claws basically crushed the guy's arms while Rai's salive dripped from his opening maw onto the guy's face. Oh the wonderful sounds of his writing and screaming. It was the pure essence of music until Rai decided to silence it by thrusting his head down and chomping on the man's cranium... the body was slowly devoured moments after.

That was surely a tasty snack, but what else could come? A light spiritual pressure was sensed and when Raikou sensed something like that; he headed for the nearest shadow-like bank and hid -- this being one of the dark alleys.

Slowly picking his way through the crowded streets of downtown Karakura was Hado. His acute senses had detected the Reiatsu of a hollow followed by an ever so miniscule increase in said Reiatsu. The beast had just fed, and before it could devour any other innocent souls it was time to eradicate it. Slowly but surely did Hado pinpoint the creatures exact location, a dark alley in what was the edge of the downtown area, still, an ass as it was the most crowded portion of the city.

Ducking into another alley he began to scale his way up the nearest building, the light of the moon casting an eerie glow onto his fine features. The Quincy quickly made his way to where he knew the hollow to be and allowed his silvery bow to crystallize in his hand. A flurry of arrows sent hurdling down the alley where the demonic looking creature was located, each aimed to pierce the beasts head.

After his fifth arrow was shot he would concentrate his Reishi into his legs, leaping backwards as he knew that if the Hollow survived it would come after him.

Idiot; there Raikou bounded between the buildings of the alleyway, ducking and dodging each arrow by either clinging to one of the walls or jumping higher than he last did. The mere touch of such a thing made Raikou feel like he was going to die just from that The pieces of earth and shattered rock billowed into plume of smoke that covered his next action -- Sombra Raya. The build-up of spiritual energy around the wolf should have been strong but not particularly around the Qunicy; the sense most likely would've been faint and nothing really to worry about since he was on the opposite rooftop. Only moments passed before the plume revealed his non-moving shadow and a light density, violet pigmented blast moved from his stomach, to his gullet then out through his maw towards the male at a decent speed which happened to be somewhere between a cero and a bala or a bit slower than the cero.

There the wolf now stood within the cleared smoke and glared at the quincy, just to see what his actions were and what the male was going to do next if he didn't or couldn't dodge the next attack.

His ability to trace spirit energy so well allowed for Hado to keep track of the Hollow at all times, even as his eyes failed him due to smoke the beasts position was pinpointed in his mind at all times. Then, he felt it, a concentration of energy in the beasts stomach. His senses warned him of the oncoming threat even before his gaze could detect its faint glow. He coiled up, ready to spring out of whatever attack was to come before the energy even started traveling through what seemed to be the creatures throat.

Then, as the creature opened its maw timed seemed to slow, and his energy enriched legs sprung into action. He leaped to his right, his silvery bow already launching arrows in a horizontal line at the creature.

Then, he sent another surge of Reishi through his legs, springing off of the roof he fired down upon the Hollow like an eagle. Each arrow aimed to intercept the Hollow as it was most likely dodging the original set of arrows, and each arrow slightly changing the Quincy's own trajectory. This beast would be purged, even if it took all of his spirit energy to do it.

Arrows upon arrows upon arrows; t'ch this might be an issue for him. Those bright reishi filled arrows were enough to tell Raikou to move. The strike made contact with the other building but it also seemed like this male was pretty fast, almost too much so for Rai's liking. One of the arrows skimmed along Rai's side for as soon as the blast halted; the dog began running.

It was not a normal running path either. The horizontal path of arrows was hard enough to dodge by moving within a straight line ahead. But the next set from about was going to be the issue. Damned arrow shooters! is what Raikou cursed within his head as he dived between the buildings since the rooftop weren't truly that far apart since it was pretty much a rural area in Karakura town.

The airborne arrows clashed into the end of the roof along with one or two entering the alley. More and more dust! Why must there be dust! It was truly annoying to be blown into a wall because of an arrow. Raikou's side was a bit bruised from getting blasted into the wall but it was nothing major despite the rubble on the ground because of it. This was getting annoying.

An irritated hollow is a bad hollow to mess with. Now Raikou waited for this weird user of energy to approach having already begun to move where he sensed that compressed Reishi was coming from. Once it was in sight; Raikou was planning on jumping towards the direction and firing smaller versions of his first move; Sombra Raya to match the arrows and attempt to smash into the male.

The beast was fast, almost too fast as it seemed to be able to alter its path in a moments notice, making most of his arrows virtually useless. The Quincy soon lost sight of the beast, but his ability to sense Reiatsu STILL allowed for the spiritual bow user to keep track of the wolf like creature. Arrow after after was let loose, only for them to be countered by what appeared to be a rapidly approaching wolf. Pumping as much Reishi as he could into his legs he aimed the strongest kick he could into the Hollow's head right before the collision. The force of Hado's own kick sending him flying backwards.

More arrows would be sent and the probably descending Hollow, each aimed to pierce the beast's mask. Each of said arrows slightly altering the Quincy's path as he himself slowly descended towards the roof. As his feet touched down against the roof he did a small roll to prevent from the shock snapping his legs.

A small smirk crept onto the pale pink lips of the Quincy. Here he was, his favorite portion of the day, locked in a battle that was proving to be quite interesting. This Hollow was smart and fast, quite more so than the usual filth that was usually eradicated within the first few seconds of encountering Hado.

Ow! Why?!? Why must he be kicked in the head! Now there was a loud boom on the ground where he initially landed. He made it so that he crashed on his feet in a very low crouch but that paralyzed him for a moment before the first arrow shot down. That potential force is what he had used to dodge those arrows-- backwards did he bound into a wall while he watched the barrage aim at him further.

So fast, so very fast were they coming and how he got shot in the leg just as he was running forward. Well, it hit him nearly dead on and it forced him to skid out into the open street. A large snarl came from his lips just before he roared. That deafening howl bellowed throughout most of Karakura in hope of getting the Quincy's attention.

Most of his movements up to the point of him barrel-rolling into the street were masked by the loud of dust that came from his landing. If only his arrows lacked light would they have hit his mask dead on.It was chancy but that speed was hard to match. That was the reason he got nicked and hit so easily. Now if that sound were to disturb the Quincy; Raikou was going to try to run in his weakened state. His legs hurt a bit from that landing and some of the bones ached to no end. Sadly Rai had to suck it up and continue with the fight. But, how many more arrows could he possibly have or use. He seemed to be using quite a lot of them

Oh woe to the man who wore no mask; oh cheers to the beast that did. The internal clashings of what was soon to happen. The elegant yet swift movements, the thrusting of one's self into the heat of battle spelled naught for the beast. What was to happen? Was the beast to strike? Was the beast to be tortured under the heat of oppression any longer by this unknown being. Why, Why? Was he to be tormented so under this blanket of darkness that he once thought was a haven.

As he saw one of his arrows finally connect the Quincy sprinted forward, his legs powering him clean off the edge of the building. His bow snapped to the Hollow before the dust even cleared and within another moment the onslaught of arrows had begun. Each of said arrows was pumped to full capacity with Reiryoku and Reishi and then some. There was so much energy in each of these projectiles that not only were they slightly explosive in nature, but even their shape was in jeopardy!

The Quincy knew this maneuver came with an incredible amount of risk, and so after he shot off his fifth arrow he began to gather Reishi particles into his limbs. As his muscles were flooded with power they slowly began to emanate a light silvery aura; each moment passing the brilliant color grew into an effluent shine.

There he was, standing there in the face of adversity. What could possibly go wrong with Raikou trying to out run each of these five arrows. It was indeed a pain but he had to live with it. His first three dodges concerned him running over towards the building wall; having each one of those arrows pin strike the ground to cause a huge bang. The third and fourth should have hit the building that alarmed the people.

However, during all of this; Rai was gathering a small amount of Reiryoku within his stomach and fired a blast of his own to collide and force the two to explode against one another. The fun was beginning as now civilians were involved; both big and small did they emerge from their houses to see the damage. The most that they probably saw was a man with a weird bow.

To the naked eye, Raikou was basically invisible. Now he had sort of a problem. Was this Quincy going to care that he was currently in mid flight towards the opposite building of the hollow and that people were watching him? All of those tasty humans below; what would happen if they didn't escape? Would he fire his next arrow or sacrifice whatever he was about to do to save them?

It was such a pity when innocents got involved. It wasn't like Raikou really cared but the effect was the same. All the while, Raikou was smirking a bit as he watched what the Quincy wsas going to do, all the while he wasin a crouched position while pushing his Reiryoku into his feet for a moment, ready to push off at any moment.

As the Quincy flew though they air he cursed as he realized that innocents were now involved. With each passing moment more and more curious people emerged from their houses only to see Hado falling through the air. Rapidly did he descend, so much so that he couldn't right himself in midair and land on his feet. Such a fall would surely break SOMETHING in his back.... Oddly enough however, he landed on something soft and..... Bouncy...

Turning around the Quincy realized that he had landed on one of the more... Portly... Citizens of Karakura. Though the man can been knocked unconscious, Hado had emerged almost totally unscathed and with almost none of his stored energy dissipating.

Hado briefly turned around and bowed an apology then turned on his heel and launched off towards the building upon which the Hollow stood. Once at the base Hado emptied his legs of all remaining energy and flew upwards until he was but a meter away from the Hollow. Every last bit of stored energy poured into an arrow as he aimed it point blank at the Hollow.

"Eat this"!

The arrow was released and Hado was sent hurdling violently backwards from the sheer force of the recoil.

The man seemed to have landed on an obese human; that caused Raikou to snicker in a wolf like form until he noticed Hado was rushing. All that running seemed annoying but incredibly fast for one of his size. What a peculiar being he was. He could shoot Reiryoku arrows, have some form of super strength and now speed. Ugh, this one being was already getting on his nerves. It was soon going to be end game to this fight; but there was something else he noticed just when the man landed. The small crack within his mask that probably came from the earlier kick.

A howl came most likely around the time Hado had gotten three-fourths distance to the building. The Reiryoku redirecting itself into his stomach; it was about time for yet another Sombra Raya. The pain he felt was being numbed by the overflow of Reiryoku he was pushing into his stomach from his form.

The massive energy build-up that was coming from the male as he was approaching was another thing to cause this. Raikou was ready besides simply noticing the man running then jumping point blank into the wolf's face. The arrow released only moments before Raikou released his blast. That caused the beam to be blown up directly in front of Raikou's face and be blown back further into a few buildings behind him as well as crushing the one he was under from the massive pressure.

The little people were now scurrying for their very lives; pure mania was occuring and soon the soul society would send members to find out the cause of the ruckus and keep the peace. Haha, this fight just got amusing as the wolf found himself more banged up than need be.

The two were now blocks apart -- Raikou was within a bunch of rubble and who knows what happened to Hado. Raikou's mouth felt numb and a ringing was heard from in his head. THe pain within his legs and the rubble on top of him didn't help the intense pain coursing through his very form.

For now, Rai decided to just stay there and recuperate for awhile since there was no way he could get out in this state just yet. Maybe, just maybe if a plus was to come by he would be able to gain some energy and strength back to move.

As the two energies collided a massive explosion ensued. So massive, that even though Hado had already been sent hurdling through the air his legs suffered some pretty nasty burns. Why oh why did his legs always have to be hit... He had already lost one of them, only to wake up and find it miraculously reattached.

Off in the distance he felt that the Hollow was still alive, but the Reiatsu was faint. If the creature didn't die from its injuries a Shinigami is bound to be attracted by the commotion and finish the wounded creature off. If not, then that's too damn bad. Hado was far to tired to go after the thing, and he was looking forward to a nice hot bowl of curry!

As he approached a nearby building he focused some of his remaining Reiryoku into his hands and grasped the ledge, his body slamming painfully into the side. A broken rib or two, but that wasn't anything major. The Quincy climbed his way onto the building and took off on the way back to the Quincy HQ.
