History: The Quincy Dark Ages... Centuries of hiding brought about by an empire that grew too hungry and was subsequently slaughtered. Ikuto was a man born on the cusp of turning. Decades and generations of hatred had finally began to dull as the Archers wrote out their new existence. They had learned to live off the Reishi they had used as weapons for so long; to cultivate fields and sustain themselves as spirits do. Yet still, gone were the days of legendary archers who could rival even the most prolific of Shinigami, arts lost to the ages and war.
The man destined to be the Ginto Scholar had an unremarkable, if... productive, childhood. Ginto was a creation of old, an invention created by ancestors so ancient their origin was long lost to history. The ever ingeneous Quincy people had developed a number of uses for this rather robust substance but despite their reliance on the substance, their understanding of it was dismal. Spells and the various properties of Ginto were known, yet the mechanisms by which it was manipulated, how to create new applications and alter the substance rather than relying on existing properties? The first to do was was young Ikuto, at the tender age of 14, when rightly figured if a small tube could create a giant block... Could it be shaped into a Ballista? ...
