| Current story ends (Bleach canon), everyone is decimated. 80% of the spiritual world as we know it is dead. Yhwach has been slain, but so has basically everyone else. There's a different leader of the Quincy now, one of those rare Quincy who can grant powers instead of using them, but is not so intent on taking over Soul Society. Soul king negotiates a truce between Hollow/Human/Quincy factions and together they pull some spirt woojy to freeze the mortal dimension so that the spirit world can rebuild. Souls that would have been born on Earth are born in SS, maybe even Heuco Mundo. Quincy are temporarily housed in SS. 200 years pass, we have the current NPCs, time unfreezes and the human world is basically like how it was before. Can do an official write-up.
Reasons for this:
That way we don't have to deal with new crazy technology OR annoying canon bullshit (like Yhwach and his little bitch brigade).
Should give us both wiggle room AND a feasible explanation without saying that canon didn't happen.. | |
