First lesson (Ginto)

Koleri walk to the hospital again with the box he had recieved from the doctor under his arm. He was still kind of nervious going into the large building. He knew it was run by quincies, but he wasn't a part of their group. They had only agreed to train him thanks to the Illuminati. Koleri wondered what the shadowy group had done to arrange for his lessons. He stepped into the lobby and walked up to the nurse's station. The woman he had met the last time wasn't sitting at the desk, but she was talking with another woman not far away. "I'm here for Dr Wilson he told the woman. He gave her a small smile, but she wasn't even looking at him. "Name?" the nurse asked. Again with the password stuff this time it was easier"James Kole." He responded. She sat there typing for several moments then finally looked up at him. "Take the elevator to the 4th floor, examining room 12." She placed a VISITOR badge on the counter. "Be sure to wear that." Koleri nodded and clipped the tag to the edge of his shirt. Koleri figured that the badge was his key to safety in this place he would guard it with his life. He noticed that his real name was printed on the edge of it. That would have to beenough. He moved to the elevators and pushed the button. Two other people walked up behind him one of them pushed the down button. When the elevator arrived one of the men got in with him the other waited. Koleri pressed the button for his floor and them moved away. The man was only going to the 2nd floor. After the man got off he stood listening to the music as the elevator continued to rise. He stepped out and walked down the new hallway. Like before there were signs to point him in the right direction. He found the door and knocked. There was no response but he went in anyway. The examining room was anything but an examining room. It was a big open space almost like a gymnasium. The place reminded him of the training room at the Illuminati institute. Either they had copied it or it was the other way around. Koleri looked up at the high ceiling he didn't notice the doctor standing in the middle of the room.

"Glad you came." the man in the white coat said. "Let's get down to business. First let me see you make a bow." Koleri put down the box he was carrying and pulled out the triangle emblem. The cold metal became warm as he focused the reishi in the air around him. In Koleri's hand was the simple energy bow. The doctor walked over to him and stared at it. For several moments he said nothing and just looked at the young man. "Not bad it's a little rough, but you good enough." Koleri was sure he was talking about his ability to form a bow. "Gee thanks" The man only smiled "You can stop now." The bow vanished. "Now time for you to learn the ginto. They work the same way. Use your reishi to activated the energy within the tube and then command it. Don't just push the energy pull it at the same time." The doctor reached down and opened the box. He pulled one of the silver tubes out and spun it with his fingers. "Feel the wrath of battle and accept this sacred chalice" the man said as he threw the tube. There was a blue glow and the energy spileld out forming a cube. The cube hit the other wall then vanished. The spot it had hit was cut in the exact size of the cube. An arrow could be accurate, but a block of energy could be very handy. "That was called Heizen." The man said before tossing a tube to Koleri. "The words will help you focus your mind imagine the square with your mind." Koleri felt the cold metal in his hand. "Feel the wrath of battle and accept this sacred chalice." Koleri threw the tube, but nothing happened. It clattered against the cold floor. Koleri turned to the doctor expecting him to be laughing. The man looked serious. "Focus more." He said and tossed another tube at him. "You didn't even hit the wall. Try again." Koleri only grunted as he caught the new tube and tried to focus the reishi again.

This continued for several minutes. It nearly half an hour until he was able to even make the energy in the tube react. The first time the tube exploded into a blue blob of energy that hit the opposite wall. Although Koleri smiled, the doctor only frowned. The man told him to focus more and then tossed him another tube. That was all the man said to him no matter how hard he tried. Almost an hour later he finally got a cube to manifest from the ginto. The box hit the wall then shatered. Koleri grinned and dropped to his knees. Little by little the effort to use the ginto had worn him out. His clothes were sticking to him from all the sweat. IT was rare for him to need to use his energy for long stretches of time. A quick shot was all most his jobs required. The doctor walked across the room to examine the damage to the wall. The room was fortified spiritually. Koleri's attack had barely made a scratch compared to the doctor's shot. Still it was progress. When the man came back he told the young man as much. "Here" he said handing him the box of ginto back. There were only four of them left. The discarded tubes lay on the floor like bullet spent bullet casings. "Come back next week and I'll teach you a new one. Don't forget the feeling when you cast that last spell." Koleri sighed then nodded. "I'll get you some more ginto prepared for you." With that he left the room. Koleri took the remaining ginto and stuffed them in his pocket. He put the empty box under his arm and walked out.
