Alone in his small apartment; a gift from the Academy of Shinigami. It was only one room, with a single light to break the darkness within. A shallow window that allowed for a small breeze to break the otherwise steamy room. It was odd really, he couldn't quite understand why the room got so hot around mid-afternoon. Perhaps it was because of the many other apartments cramped together in the building block or possibly all of the other Students there. A single bed that was not very comfortable; with a single sheet, blanket and a pillow. Along with a desk for studying; which as of late had begun to stack with books on the Kido spell subject. In any case, it was his home and he appreciated it.
Alone Tim took to meditation. It was not part of his normal routine, but when he had find time away from saving others and studying he took to it. He also had become quite fond of it. For if one was looking for peace, then he only needed to look into himself. Peace, a funny and misused word. Peace for the world or even alter dimensions was basically a myth. There was always ill-intentions of man in the world of the living to break it and monsters of their worse nightmares in the other dimensions; such as the Spirit World. Though he had found some form of the word within his own heart, through meditation.
He sat on the floor, feet under him and hands in his lap. Much of that of his heritage in Japan, a tradition sitting motion. Tim's eyes were closed and the only noise in the room came from the open window. A small breeze crept through every moment or so to push his hair about. Though nothing would disturb him from his meditation except for a bang at the door or a disturbing ill feeling of those monsters named Hollows. Tim was deep in his own mind, his own world. Though he did not think of anything in particular, his mind was blank.
An awkward feeling crept over him. It was as if he could sense those around him in the apartment complex, their energy. Though most were so weak and frail that he could not concentrate on them, but then their was those select few who stood out from the rest. He couldn't narrow any of them down or possibly conclude who they might of been; for the simple fact that he knew none of them. It was both strange and oddly fulfilling. In his meditation not only had he found inner-peace, but also the ability to sense those around him.
The connection to the others was broken after a few minutes. Tim opened his eyes slowly with a smile on his face, just before he spoke. "Ah, another day to begin; another day to improve myself."
