Appearance: Rai is young and muscular. He has a dominant jaw line with green eyes along with messy red hair cut short. He has fair skin around his toned muscles. He has large biceps as well as large leg muscles. He can commonly be seen in blue T-shirts and tan cargo shorts but the colors can range from day to day. He also wears black tennis shoes. His looks have been described as innocent and welcoming.

Personality: Rai is a fairly calm and collected individual. He is cool under pressure and can make split second decisions with confidence. One word to describe him would be loyal. He may seem a bit shy at first but once he makes close friends, he will do anything to protect and help them grow. He is a natural leader even though he never intends to be a leader and wont fight somebody over the position. He is fairly submissive to his friends unless he is absolutely sure he has a better way. At first he may come off as cocky, but it is actually confidence. He is an overall really friendly guy and can draw people to him with his charisma and class. He is also quite honorable, he would not attack a helpless opponent under any circumstance, believing that everybody deserves a chance.

He is very hard to make angery, but if somebody somehow made him angry, they would see the darkest side of Rai. Every single smaller thing would have built up and be unleashed on whoever was unfortunate enough to have wronged him. All of Rai's might would be used to take care of them.

Special Characteristics: Rai is an athlete. As so, he has high endurance and very high stamina being in tip top shape from his college athletics. He is also stronger than the average human as he can commonly be found pumping iron in the gym. This being said nothing is above regular human limitations

General Power: Electricity Control- Rai has the uncanny ability to create electrical currents. At the begining, they are nothing more than static shocks but further mastery may include magnetic forces and plasma creation.

Techniques/Abilities:

Ability 1: Spark- These are rather low voltage arcs of electricity. The result of a hit can range from numbing to burns depending on the charge time of the arc.

Ability 2: Polarization- This is the ability to change the electrical charge of an object. At this specific stage the objects are limited to only the size of a knife.

Ability 3: Sensations- The ability to send small electrical impulses into the opponents nervous system to make them feel. This feeling can either be pain or pleasure depending on the amount given.

History: Rai was born to a middle class family in the middle of Karakura Town. Being born in this spiritual event hotbed, Rai had always felt the ghostly realm but as a small child, could not really grasp what they were. His parents were established in their chosen careers as his father was a nurse and his mother was a teacher. This gave him a comfortable life style and the house they lived in was in a little subdivision with many other children to play with. This is where Rai first found friendship and built a good group of friends. He was placed in sports at a very young age, as well as his friends. He started with little league baseball and continued on to until he reached high school where he began to play football as well. He was good at baseball but excelled at football. He excelled sat running back breaking multiple school records and gaining the attention of college scouts. Before he knew it, he was getting multiple college offers for scholarships. He decided after many months of offers, to stay close to home, not only stay with his friends, but to protect his home town as a feeling in his gut told him to stay.

One fateful cloudy day Rai and his friends were playing baseball when it began to rain. Against Rai's better judgement, they continued to play through it. Rai was up to bat, holding the aluminum bat, and just as the pitcher let go of the ball a bolt of lightning came down and struck his bat. Rai was rushed to the hospital and was treated for multiple burns but was OK other than that. As he was released from the hospital, Rai noticed that he was almost always staticy and would interfere with electrical devices. Upon further investigation, he has noticed some control over it but is still very new with it.

Role Playing Sample:

Rai's travel through the Rice Country was nice to say the very least. He enjoyed the scenery of the many rice Patty fields that occupied the Rice Country. The winds were refreshing and was peppered with the fresh water droplets. As refreshing as it was, it was also lonely, he had hoped that he would have caught up to Haruka or her to get caught up to him. He was disappointed they didn't get to do the extra bit of training they planned or at least catch up a bit. At the very least he hoped she had a safe travel.

As Rai approached the location, his heart raced. The adrenaline was starting to kick in as he thought about what he was actually about to do. His fate was about to meet the fates of several other individuals. All of their fates were on a collision course to test their will, their will to conquer everybody else in the name of carving the path of their lives. Rai's goals were not so selfish. He didn't care much for the fame or money involved in being promoted. He longed only to bring the attention from the other Villages to Kumogakure. To show them that Kumo was not a Village to take lightly and the up coming generation would be one reckon with. Rai's only purpose or taking these exams were simply that. He wanted to help lead that generation and what better way than to become a high ranked ninja.

Rai had arrived at the door which held two guard. Rai slowly walked up to them until they were face to face and looked both of them up and down with a serious look on his face. He suddenly burst out in laughter as the guards just stared with a somewhat confused look. Bahahaha! Epic stare down right? Well I'm Raikimaru Kato of Kumogakure and I'm here to claim my... He was then interrupted as he was trying to walk past the guards but they halted him. For these exams, you are limited to one item. Rai looked indifferent as he dropped a handful of kunai, The only item I need is my batousi. He saidwhipping back his jacket flashing his sword.

The guards parted and Rai walked down the stairs until he reached the battlefield. There was already a considerable amount of people there including his teammate, Haruka. He shot a smile towards Haruka and continued onward to examine their environment. Rai was amazed by how healthy the nature was in this underground cove. The lights must be specially made UV lighting to feed the vegitation and the lake must have a special irrigation system to water the entire place. It would be an interesting battlefield. Rai closed his and soaked in the nature, the vegitation told a history of violance but little bloodshed. An ominous peace he felt but he knew that would soon change.
