Hageshii was on his way to the 2nd Division barracks to request formal acceptance when a sudden urge to read topped his list of priorities. As he approached the barracks he hung a hard left and headed instead for a library. If nothing had changed in his time gone, which he was sure hadn't, he was walking in the right direction. After getting his clothes replaced with less tattered attire he realized how little clothing he had actually had. He felt weighted by the supposedly light clothes and in response to this excess weight he complained inwardly and adjusted himself several times as he walked uncomfortably. He appeared awkwardly aggravated with his clothes and for good reason. Though his reason was less common then most it was still a good reason.

"Ugh, I hate these clothes so much. Couldn't anyone design something lighter? I mean, come on, the damned things are made from reishi which can be light as air or as heavy as stone. Couldn't the tailor have chosen the former instead of the latter?" Hageshii had decided to voice his opinion to himself. He knew that he should start vocalizing himself again or he would surely forget whatever language he remembered. He began to think about the many things he could do to lighten his clothing and eventually came to the decision that should he do any of those things he'd get nagged by higher ranking members of Seireitei, and people bugging him would interfere with his reading. After his extensive field trip, Hageshii concluded that interruption was bad for the health of the individual who chose to come between him and his books.

As he rounded a corner his thoughts peaked on the topic of reishi. His thoughts clustered on the multiple applications solidified reishi could have on beings of every plane of existence. His mind mentioned existence once and reverted the meaningless question of the meaning of life. As his thoughts bounced along a proverbial trail to nowhere he closed in on his destination. He entered the library without really taking any notice to his surroundings and headed to an old shelf somewhere along the back edges of the library. His 'sanctum' was an old rickety table with two chairs and a stack of unmarked books that never were able to find their way back to the shelves they belonged to. Hageshii didn't see the astonished looks he was receiving from patrons of the library as he made his way to his former home away from home. Once upon his place of peace he returned to his original routine and opened seven of the twelve books on the table proceeding to skim his way through the several paragraphs of whatever page he opened the books to. This process of sporadic reading was able to provide him adequate sources of attention for his limited attention span. In turn he rarely looked up from his books once focused. Which, surprisingly, wasn't all that difficult.

Tenma walked into the library looking for something or someone to entertain himself with. He wanted to annoy someone really badly as he was bored with training and reading, He roamed the library for hours looking for someone to torment and eventually found someone he didn't expect to see again. One Hageshii Yasuragi walked through the library with a mission in his eyes. Tenma decided to tail him and was eventually led to a table where Hageshii sat down with about seven open books and began to sporadically read through them. Tenma watched him do this until he was sure Hageshii was caught up in the books and he found a stack of paper. Using the top piece he created a paper airplane and threw it right at his head. Tenma then moved back behind a bookshelf to avoid Hageshiis eyes.

After he was sure the coast was clear he took the rest of the paper and created all sorts of weapons of great annoyance from paper shuriken, to airplanes, knives, even a sadistic looking clown that had "Beware the boxes" written on it. He didn't know where that idea came from, but he thought it would be funny. He then threw every single weapon of mass delinquency at his intended target, and then ducked behind the shelves and waited for him to inevitably investigate the bastard that interrupted his reading. Tenma laughed inside the entire time and couldn't wait to see the look on Hageshiis face.

Hageshii made decent use of his time and was darting back and forth between books when a paper airplane pegged him in the forehead. He looked up aggravated by the simplistic fact that someone would use such an annoying thing in a library. It became obvious that this mischievous and child like person had only one purpose in mind when an onslaught of preposterous assortments of paper befell Hageshii. He sorted through kunai, shuriken, and many other items of mass distraction. One he found most irritating was a very strange clown with writing on it. Hageshii took the clown and crushed it in his right hand. In doing so he felt some deep sense of self satisfaction; as to why he had no real clue, but he really hated that clown.

Hageshii was on edge as it was since someone was interfering with his reading but when he caught sight of someone ducking behind a bookshelf he almost lost it. He stood up and stormed the shelf grabbing the person by their robes and spun them around to face him. When the member of the 12th division freaked out in response Hageshii apologized profusely and returned to his table and books. He took the many weapons of mass distraction and began dismantling them piece by piece, with the exception of the clown. He just tore that apart and smiled widely as he did so. After some time of paper dismemberment he had almost forgotten his would be combatant and returned to his fast paced reading. He jumped from book to book with what appeared to be complete devotion to his reading but his effort was half hearted in an attempt to root out his annoyance.

Tenma barely held his laughter in check as Hageshii ran up and nearly assaulted a 12th squad member. He decided he would make this more fun as he waited few minutes for Hageshii to at least mildly calm down. He then stood up, put on a fake angry face that would make a living world army general proud, and strode around the corner. "HEY!" He yelled at Hageshii as he held up another clown projectile. "IS THIS YOUR IDEA OF A JOKE?!" He yelled as he threw it at Hageshii and stormed over to him. "I was just TRYING to study, but some little fool decided to assail me with all sorts of paper objects. "WHAT THE HELL IS THIS CLOWN ANYWAY?!" He yelled as he picked the clown back up and tore it to pieces. "What do you have to explain to yourself?!" He yelled as he waited for the response. He was laughing mercilessly on the inside, but kept it complete hidden on the outside. If this actually worked he would never let Hageshii live it down.
