Ayame yawned as she sat on a bench just outside of the academy in front. It was a nice area for reflection or to make the place look nice? She didn't know and frankly didn't care. The young shinigami in training just didn't want to head on home yet, her brother had been going off on about still possibly finding her an arranged marriage lately and frankly that rankled her very much. She didn't want to be with a stupid idiotic person who more then likely was someone from earth or related to such a person. Seriously her brother was such an idiot sometimes. Though he will probably have her bodyguard coming to protect her... or more keep an eye on her so she doesn't somehow get herself out of this mess.

Ayame just shook her head, she didn't need to think about hypothetical futures yet though, she had to concentrate on how to get stronger... She had been a Shinigami for so long already and still she didn't get too far unlike some from this earth place. Was she defective? Did she have too much earth blood in their family? It would explain her brother after all.... but she wondered...

Auryuu sat on a nearby rooftop overlooking the academy in height. He often hung out in spots like this. It was a good place to go when you needed to get away from people, or just situations. Auryuu looked over the people that walked below him, his feet dangling off the side of the rectangular platform of the rooftop. The breeze was calm today, and it was about 70 degree weather. A good basis for the start of a good day in Auryuu's opinion. Better than winter back home.

He watched over the people like a hawk, so careless, so unappreciative of the peace they had at this time. Those eyes of his just were envious, of everybody he watched. The captains, like Kaiyo she was strong. Arawn, he was smart. The peasants in rukongai, they were at ease. A child, so far from evil and full of innocence, that he wished he had. There were many things he wanted.

Leaving his passive state for a second, Auryuu turned his head to look over to the academy, a few blocks away. A strangely dressed woman sat on the bench. She had strange white hair, which was uncommon for men and women and soul society. Staring at the woman began to make Auryuu's head hurt, and he had a pretty violent flashback. In seconds he saw a woman with white hair in similar yellow clothing. She was talking but he couldn't hear what she was saying. All he could hear, was himself or whoevers eyes he was looking throughs breathing.

The flashback faded away, as the breathing stopped abruptly. What were these visions? Why was he seeing them? What was he seeing? All these questions lingered in scattered thoughts throughout Auryuu's head. This woman piqued his intrest. She was....odd.

The one who had such a violent flashback and had now taken an interest in watching her was far from even being registered by her. As far as she knew she was pretty much the only person there, sure there were others that walked back and forth. In and out from the building really, but they were only passerby and in their own world incapable of even a smidgen of non follower syndrome. Or what Ayame considered really, she really didn't think highly of others as she slowly pulled a mirror out from within her robes. A frown was on her face though as she looked into it, she had some wishes about what her future abilities would be like with her sword but there was no guarantee.

Maybe she could use her grandmother's mirror, this mirror in her hands? She did not know nor could she possibly hope to know. Was there a test or something? No, she had to be patient and just see and hope. Thankfully she wasn't much for physical labor so many that will be reflected and increase her chances. She couldn't help but grin a little bit before putting it away and then leaning against the bench. Her eyes glanced over towards the building though as she started to think carefully... Did she want to go training some more or attend more classes? Or head home like she was supposed to thats really what was the most important for her right now.

Auryuu dismounted from the building, jumping off then rolling into a standing position. He started jogging past the local buildings until the sight of academy was in his eyes. He slowed down reaching the point where he came to a immediate stop, and looked around. He began walking towards the girl, like someone was telling him to, or some impulse had taken over. He was curious, and he felt a strange sensation seeing her, for that first time.

Auryuu came up towards the staircase, a couple people passed by him on his way up. He saw the womans lower body first, and then every step after that he worked his way up until her face came into view. He was a bit disapointed at first, as the feeling began to fade away. Auryuu stood dumbfounded looking at the woman. What had drove him to approach her? A wierd nostalgic feeling, a strange flashback, things like this had been happening often lately.

Auryuu waved his right hand at the girl greeting her on his way up. He was afraid of looking stupid, but he had already taken the initiative to come all the way down and towards the academy so he couldn't just walk away looking more strange. Auryuu opened his mouth to greet her in a more social way, Hello, what's your name?, he asked the girl that sat less then a few feet from him, by now.

Ayame didn't really notice him jump off a building and rush over so to say... but as he walked closer to her and then looked at her dumbfounded she did notice. A frown spread across her lips as an eyebrow raised on her face. Has this guy never seen a young woman with white hair before? Seriously she was about to open her mouth and tear into him but no, she had to keep things civil or her brother would just take that as an opportunity to do something even worse.

The young boy wasn't saying anything yet so she looked away to take a quick glance around for her bodyguard.... Whom she couldn't see sadly enough with a sigh before she turned towards Spire, who suddenly started to speak. "Lady Ayame Kameko.... yourself Sir?" Yes she had to be nice for right now, he might be one of the important people to know. She would find out though of course once she heard his name to see if he was a pure bred or one of those... earthlings.

She reached up with one of her hands however to gently run her fingers through her hair. Only to make sure it was still as flawless as before, no knots or anything that she could tell.

The woman spoke with nobility, Auryuu could detect, she was...different. Auryuu gave a small smile to her as he spoke to her aware of her status. "Call me Spire", he said as he knelt down to kiss her hand. He wasn't sure how to treat nobility, but on earth, he knew they were treated with respect in England. Auryuu grabbed her soft hand as he kissed it with his lips, slowly moving upwards to a standing position.

Her white hair was unusual. Not a commodity, in soul society. He wasn't sure of her noble family, but he could maybe guess from the handful he knew, Auryuu began to speak to the girl again, "I can tell by your voice, which noble family are you from? Auryuu knew nobility usually didn't travel alone. He also knew they usually weren't one to bear swords. Auryuu could sense her spirit inside of her. The small power, was gentle, but stern. Her spirit power fluctuated violently, as Auryuu sensed it with his high awareness skills.

The noble shinigami student just watched him as he seemed to change his attitude? Well he was treating her like a noble, well that was after all a common thing maybe he wasn't a brainless twit as most of the others around here. He even knelt down to kill her hand with the respect of her station as a Lady. So Spire was it, she didn't hear his name before so he was probably one of the recruits from the dead from earth. She sat there however and waited for him to speak again, she didn't want to end up wasting energy if he was just going to ramble or take off now would she.

"I am from the Kameko Family, at least you have more brain then some of these around here to notice however." She didn't speak up or give more information though, he didn't ask and she wasn't about to give up random information that wasn't asked anyways. This way she could at least let him think she was a Shinigami and not a student, however she was a student that much she couldn't deny. Part of her still wondered when she would get to choose a squad, maybe he was part of a squad that might be one she would look into? darn she would have to stay civil now wouldn't she.....

Auryuu raised his head as he stood up, from having just kissed her hand. The girl was infact nobility. Confusion hit Auryuu as she began to speak though, she talked as if she was better than everybody else. She seemed quite rude for the first noble he had met. Auryuu had heard about a noble assasinated, by a shinigami, that went rogue. His name was Tatsuya. He wondered if all nobles houses were distrusting of the shinigami now. That might be why this girl was sitting here.

Auryuu rubbed the back of his head softly as he began to talk to the girl, getting over the no brains part. "So what do you think of that recent assasination?, he asked casually.

At least he seemed to know how to treat nobles, so maybe she should stay civil as much as possible considering he might know some of the other noble houses. She hated these kind of inner politics but it was the life she was born with and she had to uphold her house honor of sorts. But then he spoke up of the recent assassination, she had heard very little of it actually since her brother kept it away from her.

"Actually I don't know much about it, the family head takes care of news like that so very little is given to me. But it is a tragedy, I don't know enough of the details however to have a solid opinion of it so I don't try to make one." It was true after all, she wasn't going to make a stubborn one sided opinion without knowing anything, that makes enemies with those who weren't real enemies and she had to keep on her toes. She was trying to become a Shinigami, so she had to be careful even without murders like this going on.

"So nobles are more clueless than shinigami, I figured you guys would know a lot more secrets", he said. Auryuu knew about the nobles, most were political figureheads, and wealthy supporters. They usually held no actual leadership, but had a false sense of honor just because they came from a high ranking family. In the end, even rank can't save you, you still die in the same manner when it comes to hollow. You die every class is the same, each covered in the exact same amount of blood. Each possessing organs of the same anatomy. Each possesing human characteristics. Most nobles didn't seem to understand this, Auryuu didn't call her out on it, but he began to get the impression she did, by the way she talked, and carried herself.

The books Auryuu had read about history held the same type of people. That power did not select them to live longer. It was quite the opposite. People who held power like that only abused it. The power corrupted, mutated, transformed human life to some pathogen, that killed everything it once represented. Auryuu hated the cliche stories like that. No one ever started out evil, but became evil as time passed. Ayame could be just like that one day. He could understand an assassination, after all many people scorned the nobles, hated them even. Villages had become less and less inclined to them.

The whole dependency on nobles, was the shinigami's downfall in Auryuu's opinion. Something like that, a force that big seperated between them, and between the gotei 13. It was too much division, they could act better if they were one whole unit.

Ayame frowned a little bit as her eyes narrowed, her gaze locked onto Spire as he mentioned that nobles were clueless. It wasn't really her fault her brother kept her away from all that and wouldn't let people tell her. "And you hold no knowledge to make such an assumption. The head of my family knows all about it, but has told everyone to not inform me of it at all. So before you start looking down on me because I have a lack of knowledge, you should find out the situation of why I would not know. I actually wish to know all about it so I can learn from any mistakes made to prevent such a thing for myself or my bodyguard."

Ayame didn't realize she kind of just lectured the guy but she didn't really care. She really did try to learn more about it, but there was only so much she could do when her brother was involved. Her eyes glanced around and she noticed some people watching them and just sighed a little bit. "Even now my older brother has people watching me to keep others who would tell me about it away from me. So I would suggest you keep silent about it around me."

Auryuu aimed his eyes questioning the girl, "What do you think of the other nobles?". Auryuu knew about some of the tension between the head nobles. Most were always in a power dispute, and looking for more land or more wealth. Most people in rukongai envied them, but Auryuu didn't. He didn't care about wealth, even though he barely ever ate. He had gotten used to fighting and living on a mostly empty stomach. fighting with food in him now would more than likely make him puke, because of the unfamiliarity of it.

Auryuu used to want money and fame, but he realized it would change him, and Auryuu liked where he was at in his life right now. He had Kaiyo. He had friends. He had strength to keep him alive. But most of all he had a purpose. A purpose that wasn't quite defined, but he knew it existed somewhere in the space called soul society.

"Some are good, some are well... not so good. So it is rough to encompass all of them with one opinion... I can't really say which ones are good though.... My brother might take that as a hint he might find me a good suitor more readily." Ayame sighed a bit softly but immediately regained her composure as she put on her civil face and looked back at spire. To her he still looked like he expected something of her to say, but then again didn't everyone.

"I know that the family my older sister married into is well enough however. So at least I do not have to worry about her getting mixed up in assassinations as much like this however." Now where was her bodyguard though? She kind of thought she would show up by now but oh well, maybe she was running an errand for her brother to show up. Or maybe they had put this guy up to talking with her to see which noble house had more of her favor? Either way she had to be calm, collected, and serene.

Auryuu put a curious face on. He was in the mood for a spar, but could he spar with a noble? Auryuu decided to take a chance. "Would you like to spar?", he asked her. Auryuu cracked his neck as he began talking to her. Usually Auryuu didn't like to fight, but today was different. Maybe he would just cast kido and not even touch his sword. His sword really only talked during battles, or about potiential battles anyways. The lion didn't enjoy fighting women so he stayed primarily quiet as Auryuu uttered his few words.

Auryuu cracked his knuckles, "How bout' it", he said with a long grin on his face.

Ayame remained seated for a little bit, a frown on her face as she heard him ask to spar her. Seriously she was still a student and.... wait why wouldn't she want a spar? It would help her train a little bit in a type of combat situation that was different then the others. And frankly if he was an assassin for her, he really didn't know much or the people who hired him weren't smart. Killing her so far wouldn't do anything to further any type of agenda.. She was a Shinigami, student yes, but still one and so can't say the Shinigami versus Nobles or anything of that sort. In fact getting her to kill another noble would only do something like that, and frankly she knew this guy was no noble.

Slowly The young woman stood up off the bench and dusted herself off before she tweaked her robes a bit to get rid of some of the wrinkles. "I guess a bit of a spar for combat experience against another wouldn't be that bad. And it won't result in death, any rules however of engagement before we continue?"

Auryuu waited for her answer, with a anxious set of mind. He was ready to fight. Lately he had been a little depressed, and indifferent, but he still hated fighting in the name of killing, but this was different. He could justify killing with hollows atleast. If he couldn't he would almost be a defective shinigami if that was the true case. Auryuu used to believe hollows had the potiential could be good, but all were destined and subjected to the same poor eventual fate. That had become a steady thesis in Auryuu's mind.

As soon as the woman in front of him began to speak, Auryuu instantly smiled. He was ready, his blade wanted victory, he just wanted something to get his mind off things. This woman reminded him of someone, but he couldn't even identify who. He shrugged it off as a remnant, possibly the life he couldn't remember. Being next to a noble was strange, he wasn't to uptight about it, but he thought she would turn him down. The fact that she hadn't was a suprise to Auryuu.

Auryuu was confused about the rules of engagement she had mentioned. "Well obviously, you can't kill your sparing partner, but everything else is legal". A small smile crossed his face as he offered his hand to the silver haired noble. Even though he disagreed with the almost worship of the nobles, it was just taboo to disrespect them.

Aireda waited for the male to respond about the rules they were using, sure it was her decision really in the rules of conduct that if you challenged someone to a duel they got to chose the regulations and how or whatnot. But this was a spar and she didn't very much mind, so no killing but anything else was legal? Maybe she should try not to cut off his limbs though or something that would be part of the illegal part too.

Quickly she got into her fighting stance and pulled her sword, still in its sheath, from her side. It would be easier not to deal bad damage while keeping it locked in its sheath of course. Her feet were evenly spaced in front and behind her, while her arm drew back with the blade pointing in front of her perpendicular to the ground. Her other hand gently lay her thumb and forefinger further down the blade to help with keeping it steady and accuracy. Sure her stance wasn't an experts, and she wasn't perfect in it, but it helped with her kind of fighting style. She didn't really have much in the way of upper or lower body strength, sure it was average but she could put her talents into a dance like state of fighting. Now time to put it into practice on a stranger.

Auryuu arms crossed began to talk. "We can't fight here", he let a small smile escape onto his facial expression as he seemed to take a deep sigh of relief. He uncrossed his arms, as he walked past her and proceeded little closer to the door that led to the sparring grounds. He looked at it for a second looking at the handle and finally latching onto it with his right hand. He slid it open gently as he motioned for her to walk through. He adjusted his collar slightly, as his shinigami garbs became a little messy looking.

His zanpaktou emitted a feeling of boredom. But it never really had any fun with fighting women and actually frowned on it, so it would be hard to even hear him speak during the spar. He knew it may be a little mad at him, but didn't care, because he realized he shouldn't let his zanpaktou control him, whether his zanpaktou liked it or not.
