Description of invention:
Inactive: just a handle to a katana, the wrap is blue and black, and there is two entwined dragons for decoration.

Active: A bright blue energy blade forms from what used to be where the blade was. The blades length can be adjusted by Kaz when it is fist activated, and he must take a few seconds to adjust the blade's length after that. The blade is approximately 6 inches wide at its base, and barely a millimeter at its thickest point. Although the blade is formed from spiritual energy, it is completely solid.

Invention's effect: The Blade IS solid, and can fight on par with a zanpakto, but is sharper than most due to its nature. The blade weakens and cuts the bonds of of his opponents spirit energy, allowing Kaz to drain their energy at an cumulative rate with each successful cut. The weakening of the bounds is subtle, at first, and only spiritually 'in tune' character will even notice the accelerated drain only after a few hits. Kaz then uses this drained energy to either enhance his healing rate, or to to fuel his Kiyoshi ikari (shortening the cool down, or accelerating its charge time.). Kiyoshi ikari can also be projected from this blade, but will not have the same effects as a cut from the blade itself.

My thought on the invention are as I stated in chat; quite similar to the Quincy's Steele item. In addition your newer technique further supplements said abilities.

Together with that technique you got an almost perfect combo. Let's work on some balance. One thing I can see is being unable to use those other techniques with the blade. The reason I see this is that you're focusing the same energy that the skill require to create a weapon. You can keep the used of Kiyoshi ikari through the blade. I'm willing to grant a 1 post reduction on the cooldown of said technique via the blade (iirc it's 3 post normally, so when using the blade you can shoot off every 2 post). My last question is how big can the blade become. You mentioned adjusting the blade, but how big can it get? I had thought your original power was absorbing energy in the air (much like a quincy) not enemy's directly.

thats what i was planning, the blade can only be used with shoten. basically the armor used in jimmu is used to for the blade itself, so jimmu cannot be used. meant to put that, srry playing skyrim is distracting, lol. Um length is no greater than six feet (i think thats a claymore's length), any bigger an it would dissipate.
