Never a dull moment (Shin)

"THIEF!" came the woman's shout Arawn's head spun left as he heard the call. "Someone stop them those thieves!!!" He clutched his bundle of purchases under his right arm as he pushed his way through the mass of people toward the screaming voice. It was frustrating as the people seemed to crowd around rather than moving out of the way. With a grunt he leaped from the ground and landed on the nearby roof. He should have thought of this sooner. Now above the crowd he could see the circle of people standing around woman.
"That must be her." he muttered. She looked like she was pointing as she shouted. He looked further down the road. There were three figures running. They were quickly pushing their way through the crowded avenue. Running that fast in the opposite direction, there was no doubt they were the culprits. They came to an intersection and suddenly split, one going straight, another going left, and the last going right. "Damn it!" he sighed. With a shunpo landed by the screaming woman. "Don't worry ma'am, I'll get you property back." he said while giving a small smile. The woman looked at him with tear stained cheeks. She stopped wailing long enough to return the smile. A man at her side gave her a hug to comfort her some. In the next instant he was gone down the street. In seconds he was at the intersection. He looked in each direction. Three suspects, chances were only one of the mad the stolen items. The other two were probably decoys. A simple strategy, but in this situation made things quite difficult. He couldn't chase down 3 people alone.

On a nearby roof a hooded person was sleeping there he wore odd goggles and had his sword on his side. The person was an academy student named Shin Karasu and he was sleeping on the roof of the building skipping the classes as he usually did. It was a peaceful moment until a scream could be heard from not to far from shin it caused him to stir and awaken. He yawned as he moved his hand to the back of his hood and rubbed the back of his head then as he stood up he heard what sounded like people running and he looked over to see one of the 3 men holding something and turning right as the other 2 went different ways. Shin sighed as he walked to the end of the buildings edge and dropped down his zanpakto strapped to his side and landed at the opening scanning the area around him.

Shin yawned as he leaned against the wall looking at the people console the lady then looked back into the alleyway. He stood there silently until someone appeared near him and this made shin jump slightly but just revealing any emotion he just turned to the man and looked at him then pointed towards the right pathway were the man ran with the stolen goods.

Arawn eyed the young man. He was in such strange attire. He then noticed the weapon he carried. A sword wasn't something people actively carried in this area. Even this close to Seireitei there was little use for the citizens to carry weapons. At first he thought the man might be in league with the thieves, being so close to him Arawn was able to feel his spiritual power. Why would such a person help thieves. No, he wasn't in helping the thieves in any way. While he did appreciate the help, he was dissatisfied with the man's conduct. he was here lounging like none of this was his problem. Shinigami had a duty to protect the citizens.
"If you saw him, why didn't you chase him?" Arawn asked slightly annoyed. He had half a mind to stay and chew the student out, but he didn't have the time. "Hurry, we're going after the thief." He pointed down the indicated street. "and then you're to explain why you're here during class hours."
