| Muttering under his breath, Shioshi pushed open the doors into the library and entered. Around him, row after row of bookshelves could be seen, a testimony to just how much the Academy valued knowledge. Muttering under his breath, he moved into the room, knowing that, however much he wished he didn't, he had to get his research done. Reading was among his least favorite activities, research even worse. He was supposed to pick an important event in Soul Society history and then make a report on it in the classroom. It could be anything, and since the Soul Society, and more importantly, the Shinigami, had been around for so long, the chances of two students picking the same event were extremely slim.
Moving as slowly as he could, he moved deep into the library, running his fingers along the books spines as he went, only partly paying attention to the titles. He didn't care enough to actually look at the books as he went, let alone read. With a sigh, he stopped suddenly and turned to face the books, looking at different book titles. Finally, he simply selected five books at random, gathered them up, and then returned to the front of the library, where several tables were set up for those wanting to look at books without checking them out, or before checking them out. He set them down, growling under his breath, and then sat down, picking one of the five books at random and then opening it to the first page. He quickly scanned the contents, and then set it down, bored already.
He repeated the process with the other four books and, equally bored with each of them, he dropped the fifth on the table with a loud thud, which in turn drew several annoyed looks from the others gathered around the room. Rolling his eyes, he stood and moved back to the place he'd found the books, replacing them and then picking another five, heading back to the table once he had and then, once again, repeating the process, finding none of the books to be of any interest whatsoever. After replacing those books as well, he once again began to search throughout the many, many shelves, his usual calm now replaced with agitation as he continued to find nothing of interest. He paid no attention to where he was going, so if there was anyone in the same area of the library as him, he wouldn't even notice them unless they spoke to him themselves, although he had no reason to believe anyone would. But who knew? He was moving so mindlessly, he could collide with someone and practically not react at all.

| The dust flew up in the air as Bishamon withdrew an old thick black book, his eyes began too water, i can't cough, i can't cough. Repeated muffled coughs came from him, he got a few foul looks from varies students, pretty intense around here, he thought, he put the old book back on the shelf, and wondered around the library, this is odd there aren’t usually this many people around here, must be an assignment or something.
He came across the history section of the library; this was his favourite section of the library, he just liked to read about the tough battles of the past and how the soul society was formed just interested him, even though he pretty much knew everything there was too know about the history of the soul society. He then started scanning the titles to find something of interest, he then picked out a few books which peaked his interest, and then clumsily bumped into a student "oh sorry about that i didn't see you there" He was hoping that he could just apologise and move on, one of the main reasons he went to the library was so he didn't have to socialise, he picked up the books that where on the floor, they were a mix of different history books, some of these weren’t his, he then handed some of the books to the academy student "so you’re doing research for a class i presume?" why did he say that, now he is going to have to speak to this guy.

| Shioshi, startled for a moment because of his collision with someone, ended up, of course, dropping all of his books. When the other man, whom Shioshi immediately saw was a Shinigami and not an Academy Student, handed Shioshi his books after picking them up for him, he gave him a thankful nod and a smile. Then, when the Shinigami asked about what it was he and the rest of the students were doing, he gave an exasperated sigh, and turned to face him. Thinking over his response for a moment, he decided he'd talk with the man, simply because it was better than what he was doing before he'd arrived. "The name is Shioshi Reinuu, and yes, I'm researching for a project in class. We're supposed to pick an event in Soul Society's history, then make a report about it in front of everyone. Really boring, and annoying, but hey, whatever," spoke Shioshi, hoping he wasn't boring the Shinigami with his explanation.
"Er, uh, you wouldn't happen to have any ideas for what I could study on, do you? I mean, usually Shinigami are more knowledgeable than Academy Students, so if anyone would have an idea for something like this, it's probably be a Shinigami. Or am I simply pestering you?" asked Shioshi. He muttered the last part, loud enough for the Shinigami to hear, though. He drew several more shushes from those around them, so he whispered the next part. "What's your name, by the way? I don't exactly get to meet many Shinigami, so, yeah..." were his words, and as he finished, he gave a sheepish grin. He could only hope that he wasn't annoying the man too much. He reached inside of himself, bringing his calm to the forefront yet again.

| What bad luck for Bishamon as he managed to run into a chatty student and it was very apparent he was bored so he probably wanted to have a conversation to put of the class project, then he was flooded with questions from the student, trying to listen to him without looking like he was bored; even though his general expression was a bored look, which made it difficult. He gave him an awkward smile, boy this guy sure can talk "my name is Bishamon Saitou, you can call me Bish or Sai, or whatever you want" he was given several foul looks from other students, his voice then went into a hush "well your project sounds like a relative easy one to me, there are many choices, such as the transformations of hollow's too arrancars, the history of the great battle of Karakura, errm the invention of Kido but if i would have to pick one, i would pick the origins of bankai and shikia" he dusted off his books and looked around for an empty table; he didn't like having to share tables with a lot of people, he managed to find only one, it was in the far corner of the library, he sighed and pointed to the table, it was the only free spaces so the student had too sit next to him in the end anyway "why don't we take a seat?" He walked to the table and took a seat without waiting for an answer, hoping that the student would of just left the library, but he knew this wasn’t going to happen. | |

| Shioshi breathed a sigh of relief; he'd already gotten several ideas from the Shinigami, and now he was going to have a chance to really talk with the man. Thinking he'd hit a gold mine, he sat down at the table that Bishamon had indicated a moment after the Shinigami had done so himself. He spun in his chair to look around the room once more, to find several students still sending annoyed looks their way. He gave those people an apologetic smile, then spun once more, needing to get on with his conversation with Bishamon. He found his gaze wandering to the Shinigami's Zanpakutou, though, and he grinned, wondering what it would be like to finally, truly, own one of his own. His thoughts, of course, inevitably returned to the reason he was in the Library, so he turned to speak with the Shinigami once again.
"So, I just wanted to say, thanks, for helping me. I'm sure that you have many other things you could be doing besides this. Your recommendations, about the subjects from my report, they really do sound interesting. The battle in Karakura? The origins of Shikai and Bankai? I mean, I've never even thought of those things before now, and both of those things sound extremely interesting. I'm wondering now, did you ever have to do something similar to this before you became a Shinigami?" asked Shioshi, who truly did want to know. "Or, if you don't feel like talking about that and just want to get on with the whole project thing, I don't really mind," he finished. However, since he couldn't exactly keep his inner calm on the outside at this moment, the eagerness on his face shown brightly.

| He sat there and watched the hyper student spin on his chair and flood him with more questions, Bishamon took a quick glance around the room, at this point nearly everyone was giving them a foul look, is this guy trying to get everyone to hate us, he then focused his attention back on Shioshi, right ok what did he say again, he thought for a few seconds, he took a breath.
"Well i had to do quite a few projects when i was in the academy, but only something similar, we didn't get too choose our topic" he started searching through the books that Shioshi brought to the table, these books are awful, i bet he wasn’t even looking at these books when he picked them. "Well if you want to do good in the assignment, which i presume you do, the best thing is to enjoy what you are writing about, like if you enjoy combat, write about some past battles, if you find hollow's interesting write about the adjuchas or the vasto lorde, or if your interested about the soul society write about past captains, are you getting where I’m coming from?" he then gave him four books, "now these are good books, so pick one and then you can get started." He then leaned back on his chair so that it was swinging on its back legs and waited for him to find a book.

| Shioshi cast his gaze across the four books and, seeing one that actually seemed interesting, he picked it up, bringing it closer so he could examine it. It was titled, Arrancar, Vizards, and the Bridge Between. He'd heard of the Arrancar before, of course, but he'd never heard about these 'Vizards' before. Arrancar intrigued him enough, so this would work perfectly. He opened it to the first page, though, to be sure. After reading it, and the next, and then the third, he found that he actually enjoyed it, quite a bit. Muttering something about Bishamon being a genius, he set the book back on the table, though closer to him than the others, so that he was easily able to tell it was the one he'd chosen. Then he thought over what to say next.
"Thank you, Bishamon. You've really helped me with this. Although I really wish I didn't have to go, I do. This report is due, for my class, in three days, so I've got to get studying. I am truly grateful for your help. Perhaps one day, when I'm finally gone from this Academy, I'll join your squad, whichever it is. Well... I guess it somewhat depends on what squad that is. Well, whatever happens, happens!" he said. As he finished, his voice grew a bit loud, and he once again received a large, collect shush from everyone who could hear him, and also the librarian. He threw another apologetic smile around the around, threw Bishamon a thankful look, and then finally allowed his inner calm to regain its hold on his expression. Without another word, he spun and headed for the door. "See you later, maybe, Bishamon," he muttered. Then he walked out the door and headed back towards his room. He had quite a bit to do to be ready in a matter of only three days!

| What a erm interesting guy he thought, as he listened to Shioshi words spill out of his mouth, does he think before he speaks, and with that the student thanked Bishamon and was gone, he then picked up the remaining books and place them carefully on the shelf, and took one book that caught his eye, and then he went back to the table to straighten up the chairs that the student left in a mess, and then slowly walked out of the library, as he yawned "well i can finally get some sleep" he said with a huge grin on his face. | |
