| Tatsu had vanished from Seireitei the morning he admitted his feelings for Kaiyo, the sky was blue and cloudless opposed to his heart which was clouded useless thoughts, he needed to prouve to her that he could become strong, and more than anyone else wanted to become lieutenant, making sure he could fight by her side on par when time need be. Once again he had slipped through the senkai gates without problems, just like that time when he needed to slip through to get on earth to help Kaiyo, just that this time his wounds hadn't healed completely. So it was with a heavy heart he turned his back to Seireitei once again to train himself somewhere else. It took a while to find a right place to train properly, it turned out to be a think bamboo forest.
Working his way within the forest he remove his sandals letting the raw earth forge its way between his toes, and the smell rush up his nostrils, for only a brief moment a smile crawled its way onto his lips as he tried to find the center of the area, or atleast a neat place to start. The samurai took a deep breath and sat down crossing his legs, in the rush of the moment, spiritual energy crashed down on the small area around him, he wasn't pleased, he wanted more, he knew why he couldn't master his shikai and needed to remedy to the situation.
Wind russled through the bamboo as the man's concentration hit the sky, it was like everything around him wanted to reach for him, like he wanted to make everything his, share the energy with everything. in a fluid movement he untied the red ribbon neatly tied in his hairs to carefully wrap it around his face, making sure he was blinded by the bandanna he used to tie his hair. Slowly standing up and unsheathing his sword he kept his concentration up, making everything very slow. He needed to visualize the area with his mere energy, so he stood there not moving for a whole hour, making sure he wouldn't miss. Then suddently when he was sure of himself, he moved and slashed the air in front of him, nearly missing the bamboo tree in front of him, a scowl of disappointment grew on his face and he backed up in his concentration pose again waiting for that Climatic concentration moment.
Time passed, and he kept swipping at nothing, not figuring out why he always ended up missing untill a voice resonated in his head, a beautiful woman's voice, resonating with his energy, pulsing with power saying. ''Do you trust me'' In that very moment Tatsu let his soul drive him forward as he slashed, he could almost feel the hands of the water maiden drive his blade forward to hit the bamboo tree. Joy drove through his heart but he suppressed it quickly he needed to retain his concentration.
What he didn't think about was that everything you cut so low, ends up falling, and in a whim a mere instinct Tatsu stepped aside while letting the bamboo tree fall right beside his left foot, heart pouding he wondered how he did that by mere instinct, or was it just luck.
Deciding it was enough for the day he removed his headband only to hear his stomach growling at him for some fine food, looking around he had no clue where he was, shrugging he shunpo's up in the sky, and tried to find the city lights in the vicinity. It took him very long five minutes of shunpo'ing around to find a place to eat near an abandoned road. He walked towards the old restaurants before remembering himself he was invisible and needed to sneak around to get his food, which was rather stupid but he didn't have access to a gigai luckily for him the door was opened and there was a sign open for customers, so he walked in and tried to find the kitchen, hoping to find some food laying around. Lucky him there was a sandwich just laying on the side of the counter ready for him to steal it. Nomming that ham sandwich in a mere second Tatsu shunpo'd away hearing someone entering the kitchen, of course he was long gone before anyone could find him.
Going back to his bamboo thicket the young man decided that sleeping on the ground that night would be a good idea, giving a large yawn he sat down and took a good half hour to fast asleep noticing that the ground is much less comfortable after your laying on it.
The day after he decided that being blind wasn't the right thing for him, but he sure understood that the voice in his head, no matter how weird it was, was there to help him and was sure as hell seducing. He decided he needed to train something much more useful than being blind, shunpo'ing around. Taking his time, reviewing on how one shunpo's around and did it, remembering how Kaiyo does it, and no matter how he looked at it, it seemed like it was just moving faster in a moment, just like he was doing. So he did, he shunpo'd around untill he had no energy left within his body and kept trying, always trying to go further, and faster. At first it felt like worthless efforts, but then he had a good idea to shunpo on ground, and see how far he could go and mark it, then going back to his starting area, and doing it again, trying to go further and further. Time passed and the rain started falling while his spiritual energy flickered with power as the weather affected him. Progress could be seen but he couldn't be away forever if he wanted to make his way back unnoticed.
Time flied as he kept training like that for about two weeks before making his way back to Soul Society like nothing ever happened, sure that he could try and attempt at a full shikai release this time of course with Kaiyo's help and experience training would probably be easier. | |
