Rivials(Apollo)

Kyo was at the sparring ground working on his Zanjutsu, so that he could impress his sensei Kaiyo, who also was going to be his futur captian. He knew that he had to get a whole lot better if he was going to become Kayio Vice Captian and one day take over the squad, so he thought twhat better than to start now. He had his zanpactou out and was striking the dummy. He had a smile on his face as it started to drizzle, Kyo was glad because the day was super hot and some rain would be great to cool him off a little as he kept on training. He had a smile on his face.

Apollo wandered towards the arena drawn by the sounds of someone putting themselves through a rigorous training regimen. Judging from the sounds coming from the arena, it might be worth a quick look, who knows I might be able to learn something. Every little bit helps when striving towards my goal. Turning the corner Apollo was greeted by the sight of a young shinigami practicing with his blade by himself.

“You know mate you might make a lot more progress if you fought something more solid than shadows. Of course that is just the opinion of one student to another, if you wouldn’t mind I would gladly volunteer to spar with you.” With that Apollo bowed his head, “Apollo Darknight, at your service.”

Kyo was training when a boy walked up to him and introduced himself and also offerd to spar with him. He really wasent the fighting type but he wasent going to turn him down after all of that."Kyoraku Asakura, and sure I wouldnt mind having a quick spar with you", he said kindly as he stoped attacking the dummy and then backed away some from the person. He then moved into a fighting position."Watch were you go becasue it's raining and I dont want you to get hurt", he said kindly with a smile.

Apollo drew his blade from his left hip holding it in his right hand, as he took a lithe stance balancing on balls of his feet. The falling rain would make the field slippery, but that hardly mattered to him. Why would he warn me about the rain, if you’re smart about the way you move it won’t matter that the field is wet or dry.

Holding his blade perpendicular to the ground Apollo raised his voice, “It’s rude of the challenger to make the first strike so if you are done with talk about the weather, you may strike when ready.” Though his stance looked lazy Apollo was ready to pounce as soon as he saw the chance.

Kyo smiled,"Ok here I come", he said kindly as he took a breath and hopped forward closing the gap between them. Within a foot of the target his feinted a lunging stab and shifted it into a diagonal slash aimed at his shoulder. He didnt put to much into the strike so that if he would miss he would be able to move out of the way of an counter attack. He also had both hands on the sword as he swung the attack. He had a smile on his face, showing that he was going to enjoy himself in this quick spar.

So it starts,Apollo raised his sword blocking the opponents blade with his own, without a second’s pause he thrust his his palm aiming for the opponents sternum. Dancing backwards three steps Apollo looked up the excitement danced in his eyes. “This is definitely going to be a lot more fun than pissing the squad 11 captain off.”

“Now it’s my turn for the assault, try and keep up.” Pouncing forward Apollo slid to the left as he switched sword hands. Slashing towards Kyoraku hip Apollo smiled as he brought his left foot forward hoping to sweep his opponent’s legs out from under him.

Kyo saw the attack oming at him but there was nothing he could do but watch as it hits his chest. The impact makes him back up some, he then see's Apollo attack his hip, he jumps into a ball in mid air and lands on the ground dodging both of Apollo's attacks. He stepped forward again this time swinging upward with the blade. Before it reaches it's apex he brings it downward in a double handed slash.

Feeling the blade’s bite Apollo reeled backwards from his opponent, a smile flickered across his face. “You’re getting better at least; you landed a hit that time around.” Charging back Apollo raised his blade aiming to give his opponent a matching scratch. They scratch you, you break them. They send one of yours to the hospital, you send one of theirs to the morgue. The memory flooded back into his mind this time the man was older, but it was obvious it was the same man from the memories.

Raising his right hand Apollo pointed his finger at Kyoraku’s torso, “Hado number four, white lightning!” He could feel the power building waiting for Apollo to relax his mental grip. [i]One…two..three.

Kyo saw the lightning coming at him, he ducked and heard as it crashed into the tree's that was around, he smiled and pointed his finger hit Apollo's torso just below his rib cage, "Hado 4 White lightning", he said as he watched a lightning wave go at him.
