Scouting and Career Day at the Academy (Takatsumaru) ((Otherwise, PM to join))

A career day... at the Shinigami Academy... Kaoseu sighed, shaking his head at the simple thought of it. For the most part, it was useless. On the bright side, it gave each squad a chance to do some recruiting and swaying among the talent. Each squad would send their captains, or highest ranking official in Kaoseu's case. They would then be given exactly 10 minutes to speak to the class of the specific duties of their squad or give a brief overview of what the squad stood for. Having never known the previous captain or met much with the like of Squad 7, Kaoseu had to inference a bit. He breathed a sigh as he walked into the classroom, along with Hikui, his highest ranked underling. He faced the class and began.

"Who all knows anything at all about Squad 7?" he asked. He wasn't sure the kind of answers he would receive, if any at all, but searched the classroom diligently for any sign of a raised hand.

T'was midday, sun was at its highest, could easely be seen that the heat was annoying everyone, the wind was absent as if running away from the glare of the sun on the academy grounds. The young shinigami was sitting at the back of the class, not really thinking anything, he had already passed most of the classes within the academy, but they kept him there because he sucked at Kidou. At this point of the day, it was announced that the career day would start in their class with the leading officer of the 7th squad, everyone was getting so excited it pissed Tatsu off, exactly like when you fail a grade and remain there, and you see that the students that are younger than you are so childish, but on his side, the young shinigami wasn't exited at all. This was probably the 4rth time he saw the career day at the academy and he saw the same taicho's year..after year after year, he knew their speech, and he most likely was interested by the 11th division.

By the time Kao entered the class, some girls were almost squealing, typical classroom there are fangirls everywhere, but Tatsu remained neutral, remained calm and listened to what the person had to say, politeness was something he knew well, or more like he knew when to shut up. Tatsu waited for the silence to be settled before breaking the silence. ''The 7th division doesn't has an exact role, unlike the 2nd and the 11th division.'' People were looking at him, as if he said something that they wanted to know, some girls glared at him simply because they couldn't speak with the official in front of them, but the young shinigami hardly gave a damn, they were useless to his progress and he was useless to theirs, so they could go die and he wouldn't care at the moment.

The student at the back of the class looked bored, and the glares he received unnerved Kaoseu, mainly because he was correct and everyone else hated the ones that spoke out. Kaoseu was familiar with that, all too well.

Correct. The 7th Division does not currently have an exact role, as of yet. Currently, the 7th Squad is organizing to become a multi unti squad. This means that it will be set up as follows; There will be platoons of 5, each group consisting of a well marked kidou user, a well paced Senka user, and three all around Shinigami. We will be the new Mobile Scouting Division, responsible for information retrieval and tactical insertion. No, we are not taking the jobs of the 2nd squad. We are the simply the first actual force designated to infiltrate an area or place of attack on a larger scale, more like soldiers on the front line that use guerilla tactics. So, does anyone have any questions?" he asked. He hadn't had any clue what he was going to say, but the more he thought about it, the better the idea itself seemed. He made a mental note to start on requisitioning the required paperwork for the squad's duty.

It was obvious that the youngster at the back of the class had developed nerves of steel against such glares within the classroom, and that he was used to them as-well.
After listening to the speech that Kao had to say, about the 7th division becoming the scouts of Soul Society, Tatsu rose his hand to his chin and looked at the man in the eyes, as if asking to speak, taking the write to speak, a short time after the man asked if there was any questions. Tatsu looked within the classroom, most of them were already interested in the well known divisions, like the 2nd division, or something of the kind.


''Assuming you are preparing such a change within a division, does it mean that the 7th division will become somewhat, more inviting towards the other younger people within the academy is that what you mean? Just like alloying a dream of fighting beside the people you learnt aside, trying to build a link that could make the squadrons stronger or something of the like?''

Tatsu had a straightforward way of speaking and he knew it, he didn't mean any offence to the mister in front of the class , he just wanted to know more about the division he was in. Once again people looked at him, as if asking him to shut up because they wanted the next captain to come by, hoping it was someone more interesting.

Every other child at this point looked either slightly disinterested, or anxious for the next squad representative, except the one that had been doing all the talking. He seemed genuinely interested, although his expression betrayed a bit of boredom, as if he sat through this severa times already. Kaoseu listened to the Shinigami student's reply seriously, and considered for a moment. He got the words right in his mind before he spoke.

"Not at all. The 7th Division, after everything is approved, will be one of the most physically unbearable and mentally taxing squads to be in. It will not be a squad where you get to partner up with your buddies from the Academy. It will, however, make each individual stronger, mentally and physically. Youwill be partnered with either people you've never met or people you absolutely hate. Your unit will be your family, and all these units together make a squad. So no, it's not supposed to be a stusent friendly squad. I don't want those that are unwilling to fight for each other or those that are not strong enough to overcome their own emotions. Squad 7 will be a group of elites."

Kaoseu was rather starting to enjoy these little speeches. He looked around the room and saw furtive glances between almost every student, glares, worred expressions, the like. He knew the same thought was going through each of the minds of these hopefuls, especially the ones he had swayed in the beginning. Truth be told, he was glad he had scared them. It only meant that they'd tell their other friends around the Academy, and then news would spread like a wild fire. The meatheads would come first. Then the intelligent ones, followed by the all arounders. Kaoseu chuckled lightly to himself as he looked around the room.

"Now, any more questions?" he asked, as his gaze fell on the student in the back of the classroom. He was interested in him, and was contemplating on speaking to him after this session was through. By the look in his eyes, Kaoseu could tell he either didn't want or shouldn't even be here. He made a second note to be sure this kid knew where he was going in this life.

The young shinigami knew he couldn't hold the person, and he had more questions about the 7th squad, he knew what squad he wanted to join, but knowing more about every squad before joining one could be a good idea, for a short second Tatsu seemed to think before looking at his teacher, raising up, bowing down and started talking to the teacher. ''Excuse me Sensei, I don't feel so well, Allow me to show the way to the kind shinigami here towards the next class while I make my way to the infirmary.'' A sharp mind could find out Tatsu was lieing but the teacher knew the young shinigami to be trustworthy, and on top of things, he had passed this class many times already.


Walking up towards the side of the door, Tatsu waited there politely for any questions to be asked to the shinigami.

Kaoseu almost laughed. The student was formal and outright, with a direct manner, though the look on his face betrayed his otherwise convincing performance. Kaoseu realized his time was up as well and bowed to the class. He stood and then bowed to the teacher before speaking.

"If you do not mind, I will escort this studentto the infirmary. Thank you for your time, Sensei." he said as he walked to the door and gingerly led the student outside, shutting the door behind him. As it shut and the latch clicked, Kaoseu dropped his charade. "Good show, my friend. Might I ask your name?"

Tatsu politely follow the man outside the room, holding back the smile he wanted to smack on his own face, the teacher bowed to the eldest shinigami and nodded agreement to Tatsu. Standing up a careful eye could see a blue sash on the side of his waist, holding his Zanpakuto which had an abnormally long handle. The young shinigami's eye's were deep blue with long tied black hair which fell a little lower than his shoulders.

After going outside with the man, he realised that his little show was seen through, but of course that was to be expected from someone talented. ''I thank you, a good conversation is always pleasant to follow, I am Tatsu Chirako, eldest student in the school, unable to graduate due to some..innate problem'' The young shinigami tried to be as formal as possible and explained his title, which could also explain why the students were mad at him earlier.

The words registered carefully in Kaoseu's mind as he listened to Tatsu's title. That explained the reason the other students seemed to be less than friendly towards him and why he knew so much. He seemed to be a good person, however, and Kaoseu realized that it was only because of those things that he was the outcast. He decided he wouldn't question or delve deeper into what Tatsu meant by "some innate problem".

"Well, it's nice to have a conversation with someone. So, Tatsu, What's your prefered squad? Any idea where you wanna be when you graduate?" he asked.

Tatsu remained there, watching the facial features of the man in front of him, perhaps trying to read something, what he felt, facial language is something that can let you understand alot of things. The young shinigami started to walk away from the classroom entrance, to make his lie believable by the teacher, but the man had already asked a question, turning away towards him Tatsu looked at him with a smile, showing that his decision was made. ''My decision was made not too long ago, my abilities with the sword are remarkable and I'm absolutely no good controlling my spiritual energy, thus, I think the eleventh division is the one I should take. That aside, I think the changes that are going to happen in the tenth division is a good thing.
