Personality:
Tiana’s personality is definitely not a favourable one. She’s overly flirtatious with people and at the same time can be extremely cold to others. She uses her beauty to usually get what she wants but despite this overzealous attitude, she is a very dark and disturbed person. Her use of her beauty may at first seem to spring from arrogance or superficiality but in layman’s terms, she’s much more calculating than would at first appear to be the case. She’s not a fun person to be around as even her flirting is dark in some respects, tending to make people feel enthralled at first but then, on reflecting on what they have just ‘had’ with her, something will seem wrong, it will seem almost unnerving but then they would need to experience her again, like a drug. Because of this people strive to be around her once they know her because after a while they start to think she’s the only person who cares. In short, Tiana is far more of a socio-path than the beautiful woman she seems to be. She likes to be alone for the majority of the time but because of her flirtatious nature she is usually surrounded by a group of people, not always trying to court her but she would still prefer them not to be there. Tiana's issues do stem from her inherited depressive episodes - as shown by her suicide at the age of 17.

Tiana is very well ‘matured’ for her visual age, she would often be mistaken for older than she is at a glance but on inspection she would clearly be 18 to those who would look upon her. Her body is (for one of a better word) curvatious and her red eyes and hair lead to her intriguing visage that would have anyone captivated at almost a first glance.

History/Background:
Tiana’s life was fairly normal until the age of about 10, her father used to run drugs around the city in order to make ends meet. This posed no problem until the police got involved. Once the police were involved, they slowly began to take down the criminal bosses and with those bosses, down went the smaller time criminals. Tiana’s father then had to move to a ‘real’ job and their family income suffered greatly. After 6 months of peace, the police raided Tiana’s house and arrested her father. The drug lords had fingered all the blame on Tiana’s father and because of this, he was taken down to the full extent of the law and was taken to jail. Where he soon hanged himself. Tiana’s Mum and older sister were hit by severe depressive episodes and Tiana was removed from her mothers care, the courts deeming her mother too “fragile” to look after her own child. For the next six years, Tiana was shipped around various care and foster homes. None of them were bad per se but the lack of parental models in her life had a severe impact and soon she herself succumbed to depression, with no stability in life, no friends, no family, no sense of belonging. Tiana soon followed in her father’s path and hung herself, dying at the age of 17. All of her life, there was something odd about Tiana and this fluctuated when she died and soon she was offered a place in Soul Society, she accepted after having to be convinced and, now only 18 years of age, she begins her time in the soul society.

Role-Play Sample:
Down at the bottom of a long, old set of stairs, a young Tiana, no older than 11 stands, looking up at an ominous door at the top of the stairway, with a gulp she tentatively lifts her left foot and closes her eyes tightly, nibbling her bottom lip with an anxious look on her face. Something was at the top of those stairs, hiding behind the door and waiting for Tiana to get close enough to strike. She begins to creep up the stairs, her legs shaking from the nerves coursing through her legs, it was almost too much to take, she grits her teeth as she gets closer, the floorboards creaking eerily beneath her feet. The handrail that ran alongside the staircase was broken in places but luckily enough for Tiana, there was some next to her, she grips it and closes her eyes tighter, her body not even allowing her body to take her farther. Breathing out shakily, she steps up to the final step, moving cautiously to the door, ever part of her body, mind and soul screaming at her to stop but she couldn’t, she had to see what it was she felt. As she reaches out she opens her eyes, just in time to catch the door flying open, with a shrill scream, Tiana jumps backwards, a massive monster just missing her, the monster’s scream is far worse than Tiana’s, it was almost layered, like a Lion and a small child screaming at once, causing a twisted scream, the scariest thing that Tiana had ever heard in her life. As Tiana trips down the stairs, she rolls violently, her body bruising and getting cut with almost every fall down the stairs, the broken floorboards jabbing her as she finally reaches the base of the stairs, laying there as the monster charges down the stairs, the staircase and the walls around it breaking from the size of the monster. Tiana could barely breath as the monster gets closer and closer, her hearts thumps against her chest, her blood runs cold as she closes her eyes, whispering something to herself, praying for the monster to go away, hoping this was nothing more than a dream. Then she hears the scream again, shriller than before, the child’s scream becoming louder than the lion’s. As she looks up, the monster seems to burn away, becoming nothing more than fiery specks of dust. As she looks back up the stairs she sees a figure holding out a sword, she couldn’t make out the face of the person, but she noticed the white cloak draped over black clothing, the person looked like an angel, it had saved her from the monster but just as quickly as Tiana’s saviour, her guardian angel had appeared, it had left, flashing for a few seconds before dematerialising, disappearing. Leaving Tiana at the bottom of a broken staircase, still not sure what had happened to her and there she stays, staring at where her hero had appeared, her heart still racing faster than any human’s should.
