Nick stands 5.9 feet tall and weighs 158 lbs. He usually wears a blue blazer, a white shirt and jeans. He hides Gakidou by wrapping it up in bandages, claiming he hides a large burn wound.
Personality: Nick is in general a kind person but in order to protect others from his own power he generally acts indifferent to others in order to keep them away from him should he lose control. He is worried however that his powers are too close to those of a hollow though. However he is willing to use them to defend himselve if needed.
When he uses his powers too much, Gakidou starts to influence his personality, making him more determined but giving him a slighty more sadistic personality in the process. He then takes delight in playing with his opponents before finishing them off and doesn't have as much hesitation in eating his opponents as before.

General Power: Gakidou (hungry ghost) This is a black substance that covers up Nick’s entire left arm, Gakidou greatly increases his ability to sense and absorb spirit particles. However the substance has its own consciousness similar to a shinigami’s zanpaktou. It constantly hungers for spirit particles and the more it absorbs, the greater it can influence Nick’s actions. However when it is unable to absorb particles it becomes restless and in worst cases can start to feed on Nick’s own reiatsu, however this only happens in extreme situations.
Techniques/Abilities:
Keikorosu: (devour) this is Gakidou’s main ability, it is able to grow mouths on any part of Nick’s body that it covers. These mouths generally form immediately when it comes into contact with a source of reiatsu, However Nick can also form them at will. These mouths will eat anything that has reiatsu.
Kuchini Kyouran: (eating frenzy) A powerful defensive technique, by opening at least half a dozen mouths Nick is able to cancel out spirit attacks that have less spiritual power then him by absorbing them, for example at SP 6 the kido spells of a shinigami with SP 5 or less have no effect on him. It is possible for him to weaken an attack that he otherwise could not absorb, however doing so would overload him with reiatsu resulting in a drop in speed and fighting skills (-1 for each rang above his SP)
Banjin: (savage) (requires 80 ability points)
+3 spirit power, +1 fighting skill & speed, -4 intelligence
Description: When Nick activates this form, Gakidou expands to cover the entire left side of his chest, his entire back and both his legs, he also receives cat-like eyes and black markings appear on his face.

Ability 1: high-speed regeneration
Description: By absorbing spirit particles from his surroundings, Nick is able to regenerate most wounds. However he has more difficulty with serious wounds as it takes longer to absorb the required amount of particles, he is unable to recover damage to his internal organs.
Ability 2: Shokushu (tentacle)
Description: Nick is able to grow large tentacles similar to his keikorosu ability to grow mouths. These tentacles can be used to ram into or grab an opponent. The size these tentacles can grow to depends on Nick’s spirit power (1 SP = 2 feet) He is also able to use his keikorosu on them as usual.
Ability 3: Goubatsu (eternal punishment) (100 ability points required)
Description: Nick starts off by opening several mouths on his body, these mouths immediately start absorbing as much spirit particles as possible. This energy is then gathered to one specific mouth and is then released as a powerful blast that resembles a cero. Nick is able to fire several attacks at once by gathering the energy to more mouths however this results in a drop of power for each blast. Example 2 blasts have 50% power, 4 blasts have 25% power, etc…
Kingu no Kaigan: (King’s spiritual awakening) (120 ability points required)
+5 spirit power, +3 fighting skill & speed
Description: In this form Gakidou covers Nick’s entire body, except for his head, resembling a medieval suit of armor. Banjin’s markings now cover both sides of his face.
Ability 1: enhanced Banjin
Description: the overall powers of Banjin are increased
high speed regeneration: Nick can now regenerate any wound almost instantly. He still can’t recover damage to his internal organs.
Shokushu: The tentacles that Nick forms are now thinner in appearance, this causes them to be more mobile allowing Nick to control them with more precision. Besides this the overall speed with which he can form them has also been drastically increased to the point that it is almost impossible to dodge them without a technique like flash step
Goubatsu: this technique is largely the same as its banjin counterpart with the exception of a decrease in charging time and the ability to fire multiple blasts without dropping the overall power of the attack.
Ability 2:gunryu (army) (requires 150 ability points)
Nick uses this technique by separating one or more tentacles, these tentacles then begin to transform and take on an appearance similar to Nick’s banjin form, the overall power of each summoned being is roughly half of Nick’s total ability and have access to all of banjin’s abilities with the same limitations. Nick can summon 1 of them for each 10 points of spirit power he has without weakening himself.

History/ Role Playing Sample: chapter 1: the meeting
“Little boy, it’s time to wake up.” Slowly Nick opened his eyes, with his eyes only half open he barely recognized the kind stewardess that took care of him on the plane. “We’re about to land so you have to fasten your seatbelt.” Nick gave a quick nod and did was he was told. He sat up straight and looked out the window as he remembered the things that happened to him. The day after his sixth birthday, his mother was caught in a car accident and even after several surgeries she finally succumbed to her injuries. After this several of his relatives wanted to take care of him, or rather they wanted the inheritance his mother left him. However a friend of his mother interfered and contacted his father and while he had never met his son, he was still willing to take him in. And so with a sense of resentment, his relatives put him on a plane and sent him to Japan.
When the plane finally stopped, Nick got out of his chair and with a bit of hesitation started to head towards the door. “Take care now” The stewardess said with a smile as he got off the plane. For a moment Nick was overwhelmed as he entered the lobby. The combination of the strange symbols on the wall, the size of the room and the massive amount of people caused him caused him to panic a bit. He looked around looking for the person that was supposed to come pick him up. After a while he managed to find a man who was wearing a business suit and glasses, holding a sign with his name on it. Slowly he walked towards the man and when he was close to him he asked with a faint voice “Are you my dad?” “No Nikku-sama, my name is Keigo and I am the assistant of your father” Nick felt a bit disappointed about this “You’re father was unable to come personally and thus has instructed me to come and get you.” Keigo continued “You’re luggage has been send ahead of you so if you’re ready, I will take you to see your father.” Keigo signaled Nick to follow him and escorted him towards the exit and finally into a large black car.
During the long drive, Keigo kept quiet for most of the trip. After what seemed like forever they finally arrived at a rather large manor. Keigo opened the car door and let Nick out. Nick then followed Keigo inside the manor into a large hall, Nick was amazed by it, it was almost as big as his old house with a large stair standing at the center of the room. “This way please” Keigo beckoned as he started to head up the stairs. Nick followed and finally they arrived at a large door with splendind decorations. Keigo knocked and said something in Japanese which nick didn’t understand. Someone responded and Keigo gracefully opened the door and let Nick enter the room. He then closed the door behind him and let Nick alone in the room. “Come closer” a deep voice said to Nick and with a hint of hesitation he moved towards the large desk that stood in front of a large window. In a large chair a man with a serious look on his face looked at him. The man had black hair with a slight hint of grey and a scar on his chin. “Nikku” the man then said “you’ve grown up a lot, the last time I saw you you were just a little baby.” The man got up and started to walk towards Nick, he placed his hand on Nick’s head. “It must have been though for you.” For the first time the emotions that Nick was suppressing surfaced and as he cried, his father comforted him.
After a couple of hours Nick was starting to feel tired from the trip and thus his father showed him to his room. “You still have a long way ahead of you” He said before he left Nick alone “Starting tomorrow you will to begin learning Japanese and you also have to meet your younger brother.” Nick smiled at his father and said “Yes, dad”
Chapter 2: talent zero
Nick has lived with his father and younger brother for about a year now. Most of the first months was filled with almost endless study as he tried his best to master Japanese. Even though he still made a couple of mistakes from time to time, he was at least able to talk to his younger brother Ryuu now. Ryuu was a very shy kid and spend most of his time with Nick. After his mother died Nick thought he could never be happy again, however after meeting his father and brother he was really happy. One night while he was sleeping, Keigo came and woke him. “I’m sorry to wake you young master but your father wants to see you.” Still half asleep Nick got dressed and followed Keigo to see his father. When he got there he saw that Ryuu was also there waiting in the grand hall with his father. His father was wearing a strange white suit that Nick had never seen before. “Nick you’re here good then we can get going” Still to sleepy to say anything Nick and Ryuu followed Keigo and his father into the woods. After a short while they came to a stop in an open field. “This is far enough” Nick’s father said “Keigo do it” With a short nod, Keigo pulled out a small silver tube out of his jacket, broke it and then threw it up into the air. After a while a sharp scream emerged from the forest and Ryuu held onto Nick’s clothes he in return put his arm around him. “Here they come” Nick’s father said as two strange creatures wearing what seemed to be white masks appeared out of the forest. “What are they?” Nick asked with a shocked face “They are hollows” Nick’s father answered “Evil spirits that eat the souls of the living and the dead.” Nick looked at his father who held out his arm where a bow of blue light appeared “And we are the ones who fight them, quincies.” He fired two arrows as the creatures killing them instantly. “It’s not over yet” Several more screams could be heard as more hollows appeared however they were all quickly taken down by either by Nick’s dad or by Keigo. After A while all hollows were gone as their bodies disappeared into thin air. “Nikku, Ryuu, as my sons you too are destined to become quincies and fight them.” Nick didn’t know what to think of it but just as his father said the following day most of their time was spent with quincy training. The years pasted and while Ryuu was shaping up to be an excellent quincy, Nick was having a lot of trouble forming the bow. Keigo and his father explained him that he gathered too much spirit particles making it to difficult to control the bow, let alone fire arrows. As the amount of failures increased, his father became more distant of Nick, favoring his brother instead. However Ryuu continued to support him even giving him some pointers from time to time. But despite that it made no difference since Nick just didn’t have any talent in being a quincy.
Chapter 3: a hollow’s taste
“I’m late” Nick said to himself as he looked up at the setting sun. “I even told them I’d get home early today. The old man is going to get pissed again.” He Picked up his pace as he continued to walk home. Suddenly he could feel a large source of reiatsu nearby.
What the, a hollow? Nick thought to himself as he looked around
I have to be careful, I’ll be in trouble if it finds me. He turned around and started to run away from it, however it started to follow him.
Tss found me huh, Nick thought as he went down an ally. He sat down next to a dumpster in an attempt to hide from it. He held his breath as it got closer and closer. Suddenly it started to go away and Nick sighed as he stood up. However before he could walk away he was suddenly pushed from behind into the wall next to him. Before he could react, he could see the hollow throw a web at that held him against the wall. He tried his best to break it but the web didn’t budge. “Don’t bother” the hollow said with a female voice “that web is too strong to broken by a human” “Nick continued to struggle but it was no use. “Let me go!” He shouted. “I can’t do that. It’s rare to find such a delicious looking soul. No I’m going to enjoy this.” With a disgusted look on his face Nick watched as she hurled up something that looked like an egg. She then placed it next to his arm and then stepped back a bit. After a while the egg opened and several small spiders appeared form it “Aren’t they cute” the hollow said in delight “these tiny familiars of mine will make sure that your soul is just right for me to eat. After all a soul in agony is so much better.” Suddenly the spiders leaped towards Nick’s arm and started to eat it. Nick screamed at the top of his longs as he continued to struggle. “That’s good” the hollow said in delight “Scream more, the more you scream the tastier your soul becomes.”
Please he thought to himself
let me shoot just one arrow. With that he started to gather as much reiatsu as he could but before he could do anything he passed out.
Chapter 4: awakening of the hungry ghost
With a start Nick quickly woke up. “A dream?” Nick wondered as he grabbed hold of his left arm, he let out a sigh of relief the moment he felt that it was still there. However his relief didn’t last long as he saw that he wasn’t in his room as he first thought but rather in what seemed like a white room with no rooms or ceiling, in short it seemed like he was standing in nothingness. “What is this place” Nick asked with a shock as he got up.
“Don’t know, but it is rather interesting isn’t it?” Nick quickly turned around to see who else was there. What he saw was a young girl about half his size with long raven black hair, golden-yellow eyes and wearing a simple white dress. “Who are you little girl?” Nick asked with a somewhat forced smile
“I don’t know” she said with a playful tone
“But that won’t do huh, it will be tough if I don’t have a name” She seemed to think about it for a while before raising her head with determination.
“I got it, you can call me Gakidou and I will call you dead” “Dead!?” Nick said with suprise
“Of course, you were attacked by a hollow so dead is the only possible result isn’t it” “That can’t be, I died” Nick said as he fell to his knees “That’s a lie, there’s no way I’m dead”
“Why not, everyone dies at one point so why would you be any different. Just accept it already that will be easier for you.” “There’s no way I can accept something like that”
“Is that so” she said that with a more serious tone, she started to walk towards Nick slowing turning until she was hanging upside down from the sky as if gravity had no meaning to her
“If you really want it, then I can show you a way out.” As she said that, she held out her left hand. “Really” Nick said with a faint tone of surprise mixed with happiness. Slowly he raised his left hand until he finally grabbed hold of her hand. At that moment her black hair increased in length and started to surround his arm. He tried to pull back but he couldn’t break free from her grip.
“I will give you the power you need to live, however in return you have to do one thing” “What?” A large grin appeared on Gakidou’s face revealing a row of razor sharp fangs
“Eat”The hollow stood with surprise as she looked at the unconscious body of Nick still being held down by the webs.
What happened, she thought to herself,
Just now this brad started absorbing so much reiatsu that I thought he would even absorb me, honestly it seems that I found a pretty interesting prey. Suddenly Nick started to break the webs that were holding him. “It seems that you still have some fight in you left huh, it doesn’t matter since you have no way of beating” The hollow looked in horror to see that the arm her familiars were eating had now been completely restored with some kind of black substance covering it. “What are you?” “Don’t know, however this is pretty interesting isn’t it?” He held out his arm causing the hollow to jump back a bit before firing another one of her webs towards Nick. Skillfully he dodged it and started to run towards the hollow. He quickly threw a punch towards her, however she caught with her hand started to squeeze down on it tightly. “Don’t get cocky kid, I don’t care what you are but you’re still a human so you have no chance of” The hollow started to scream in horror as intense pain surged through the hand she was holding Nick with. She quickly let go to see that large pieces of her hand were missing. She looked at Nick to see that several mouths varying in size had appeared at the back of his hand and even at his fingers.
“A nice taste, now Nick let’s continue and move onto the main course” Gakidou said inside his head. “Yeah, let’s” He started to move towards the hollow again who in return spit out another batch of her familiars at him. However Nick blocked it with his arm, which in return quickly devoured the small hollows. Before it could react Nick grabbed hold of the hollow’s mask and pinned her down against the wall “Now hollow, scream for me” As he said that several mouths appeared on the palm of his hand that started to eat the hollow’s face.
Chapter 5: a new beginning
A month has passed since then, Nick has been confined to his room at the manor while his father decide what to do with him. Nick wasn’t sure what would happen to him, he has only seen his father once after the attack and that was only to tell him that he had to stay in his room. He grabbed hold of his arm as several mouths started to appear again. With a bit of hesitation he opened the drawer of his desk and pulled out a small silver tube. He opened it and poured the shining liquid in one of the mouths.
“Disgusting, can’t we go and get something else to eat” “Too bad because until they figured out what to do with us it’s all you’re going to get”
“Nick you cheapskate, why can’t we go out and get something to eat” Before Nick could reply he heard someone open the door, Keigo and his father came into his room both with a rather sour look on his face. “Nikku” his father said with a serious tone “After long consideration I have decided that you are to be exiled from the clan.” “What are you saying, dad” Nick almost screamed as he took a step towards his father, however Keigo got between them with his hand resting on a seële scheider. “If you just remained a human, you could have easily continued to live here” his father continued “However with that arm, you are more than just a disgrace on this familie, you are a risk that I’m not going to take in this time when we have more than enough concern about the weakened shinigami. You have two days, after that I want you gone” Before he could say anything his father and Keigo had already left the room.
“This is pretty interesting” “Shut up” Nick said with tears starting to form in his eyes.
Two days later Nick was ready to leave his home. He and his brother waited in front of the manor for the cab that would take him away. “Are you sure Nick” his brother said with a rather sad voice “if you want we can still go and talk to father and maybe” “Ryuu” Nick stopped him “It’s alright, I doubt there’s anything we can say to him that would cause him to change his mind” “But, what will you do” “Don’t worry” Nick said with a smile to hide his sadness from his brother “My mom left me a rather large inheritance that I haven’t touched yet so I’ll probably be able to take care of myself until I finish school, if not I’ll get a part-time job and Keigo was at least willing to help me find a new school and apartment, So there’s not much I need to worry about. In the distance they could see the cab approaching. “Well this is it” Nick said as he reached into his pockets for something “Hold out your hand. “Huh” “Don’t worry just do it.” Ryuu held out his hand in which Nick put his quincy symbol. “This is” “I don’t need it, so you can keep it as a good luck charm.” The cab stopped in front of them. “I’ll miss you bro, after all you’re the only one who says my name right. They finished their goodbyes before Nick stepped into the cab. Slowly the cab began to drive away.
“Liar, even though you told him you’ll be fine, you can’t hide your true feelings from me.” Nick chose to ignore her since he had no interest in arguing with her. “Where to?” the driver asked as he looked at Nick through the mirror. “Karakura town” Nick said as he took one last look towards his old home.
