G.W. Maddox - Soul Reaper Empty
PostSubject: G.W. Maddox - Soul Reaper   G.W. Maddox - Soul Reaper I_icon_minitimeSat Jul 06, 2013 1:04 am

**Sorry for it being so condensed and without fluff. I wanted to keep it within reason but it's a well thought out character so he has a lot of history I tried to squeeze in**

Soul Reaper Template

Name: George Washington "G.W." Maddox

Age: 138 appears to be in his early 20's

Gender:Male

Race:Caucasian

Birthplace:Somewhere in what is now Nevada, USA

Occupation:Misc Jobs Rukon Dist/ Applying to Soul Reaper Academy

Height:6'4"

Weight:210lbs

Appearance: G.W. is a tall well built young man. To go with his height he has broad shoulders and a well toned build. He has wavy brown hair that hangs roughly to the level of his chin and has a habit of falling across his gentle blue eyes. A broad smile often lights up his face when he is among friends. When he gets serious and sets his jaw he can be quite intimidating for being as young as he is.

Personality: G.W. is even stronger morally than he is physically. Always one to do whats right makes him a good friend to say the least. Laid back and calm in most situations leads him to be type of person you can rely on in the thick of battle. He has keen observation skills but is also prone to over thinking situations. G.W. enjoys company but is hardly the type that goes out looking for it. He is strangely weary of strangers which can make first meetings awkward but he does loosen up a tad when he gets to know them better.

Special Characteristics: Born in a time of hardy people G.W. has high endurance and lacks the ability to give up simply because "times are hard".

Stats:

Spirit Power: 22

Speed: 15

Technique: 13

Fighting Skill: 10

Sealed Zanpakto: Standard Asuachi that he opted to wear on his back rather than the traditional attachment to the waist.

History: The story of G.W. couldn't have started in a less interesting way. Born during a snowstorm in no where Nevada. G.W. lived and grew up in unsettled America. The Maddox family lived by a town forgotten by history called Cold Water Creek. The territory around was unsettled around them but the community did well for themselves like the eye in a storm of bandits, Indians, and harsh living conditions. It was among the chaos G.W. thrived. He helped his father on their meager farm when he was needed and was doing odd jobs for others in the town by the time he was 10. By 16 he had built a reputation for being the first to arrive at the source of any trouble. From a farmer needing help bringing in his crop or trouble made by outlaws G.W. was the first to lend a hand.

At 18 he was already a respected member of the community. Due to being such a hard worker G.W. had made life much easier for his mother and his father but they were still at risk of being driven from their land. A hard winter had left him desperate for work. and so he jump at the opportunity to work for a local rancher. The job itself was simple. Go east to Texas and pick up a herd and bring it back. He would be part of a group but when they returned they were all promised pay in the form of part of the herd. Ten head of cattle would not only feed his family but they would be able to sell one or two of them to buy things needed around the farm. G.W. said his goodbyes and left for Texas on the biggest and last job of his living life.

Role Playing Sample: G.W. rolled over on his mat and climbed out of his blanket. The suns light was just starting to fade the deeper blues of night and it was his favorite time of day. He shuffled off to relieve himself and raised his hand in greeting to the men who had last watch of the night over the herd. After taking care of business he made his way back to camp and helped himself to a cup of coffee taking it from the pot by the fire. He sat by the fire and searched through his pockets while the warmth of the fire took the mornings chill out of his body. Finding the deer horn pipe made by his father he continued searching until he found his almost empty smoke pouch. Quickly thumbing a bowl he sparked it using a sliver of wood from the fire. Now content to wait for the others to wake up he stretched his legs out and took a drink of his coffee.

As he watched the sky continued to lighten and then the sun poked up over the edge of the horizon. He blinked and sat up suddenly looking around. With a quick glance he could tell that not only were the others up but most were ready to set off. He hoped up and shoved his belongings back into his pockets. Moving quickly he rolled his mat with his blanket inside and tied a leather cord around it. Grabbing his saddle and other tack, he had his horse saddled in record time and was strapping down his mat behind it when the leader of their group announced it was time to move. As one the youngest of the group he got the honored position of being the one who rides at the back of the herd. He was thankful he had only a couple days of eating dust and staring at a thousand moving cow asses left before he was finished. As they slowly got the herd going he ran the tally in his head. He has been on the trail now for a month and ten days. Only three left and he should be taking his share of the herd home.

Shouts ahead alerted him something was wrong. Every one of them knew better than to shout around. He stood up trying to see what was going on. but all he could see was the milling mass of cattle. In the early morning air a shot rang out. The cattle already uneasy by the shouts bolted at the gunshot the mass moving as one away from the shot. G.W. cursed as turned on him. He whooped and hollered as loud as he could while waving his arms. Basically trying to do anything he could spook the herd from coming towards him. Already gripped by terror they surged towards him and turned into a stampede in seconds. He tried to stay on is horse and navigate through the beast but it was a lost cause. As a last ditch effort G.W. swung his horse around to go with the cattle instead of against them. As his horse came around he was struck hard broadside on its shoulder. With a scream the horse went down and G.W. got thrown into the horde. Instantly he was struck and thrown under the mass of legs and hoofs as the beasts continued to surge. Already broken and near death he tried to stand but was once again knocked down.

Opening his eyes he was not surprised that the first thing he saw was a dusty ground. He sat up shakily surprised that he could moved. As the events replayed themselves in his mind he felt his mouth hanging open. How was even alive? Forget hurting how was he even able to open his eyes? It was then that he realized that not only could he sit up but he felt no pain what so ever. He sprung to his feet and grabbed his chest as if to reassure himself he was still in one piece. He looked up and was surprised to see that he wasn't where he was when he closed his eyes. Around him stood buildings as far as he could see and people milled around like him sleeping in the street was normal. Unsure what else to do he just laid back down and shut his eyes.

History Continued: G.W. found himself lost and confused in Rukon district. For over a hundred years he tried to grasp the situation he found himself in. It didn't take long to figure out that he had died but raised a christian he was unsure if he was in heaven or hell. His opinion of which it was depended on which day it was. On the day that marked his 110th year in Rukon he was all but beside himself. Tired of the state of his life he yearned for more. It seemed a shame that while he aged seemingly not at all he had nothing to do with the time. Work was impossible to find and all he had was wandering the streets. He yearned for a goal. A purpose to be here. To be "alive" not just surviving. His blue eyes held a inner fire when he set out. He was wondering who he would have to talk to to be one of these fabled Soul Reapers that he had heard nothing about for the last one hundred and ten years. [/b]
