The graveyard shift (Hado)

The creature moved fast across the buildings. It was hard enough to spot it's lithe form as it moved between shadows on the buildings. Arawn didn't give up. He kept his eyes open for the slightest bit of motion as he tried to keep up. He wasn't about to use shunpo it would only tire him further. The gap was too wide, if catching up left him tired it would be pointless to do it. The creature turned and hissed. It 's long jaws wide as it fired a yellow blast of acid from it's mouth. Arawn had just landed and leaped to dodge the spray. The dangerous liquid passed between his legs as he moved in the opposite direction. He lost his balance from the awkward dodge and landed flat on his back. The hard stone of the roof nearly knocked the air out of him. He rolled as the creature launched another burst of acid. It saw him fall and pressed the attack. The alligator like head snapped open again as the third shot fired. The shinigami shunpo'd to the side his zanpukto drawn. Stepping on air he dove at the beast. It noticed his move almost too late. The hollow shifted his body positioning the fin down it's spine to block the oncoming slash. Arawn's blade connected with the thin membrane. He had thought his weapon could cut through, but the substance held firm. The creature gave a sound that could only be a laugh. It's tail came up and swatted Arawn catching him in his side and sending him flying. The shinigami shot like an arrow through the sky until his crashed into a building some distance away. Through the window and into a strange white hallway Arawn tumbled. He looked around; there were rooms to either side. He didn't have time to observe his surrounding long as the growl came from the hole he had just made. The creature's confidence had grown, it had come to finish the job.
