Medrus knew it quite well, he was not one of the largest hollows. In fact compared to a great many hollows he seemed small, a fact that neither cared to him nor he felt greatly effected by. Another noticeable difference between himself and other hollows is that his appearance showed that he lacked the sizeable claws and muscular appendages that other hollows also sported. The lack of such things was another issue that did not bother him in the slightest. Medrus knew what he was, and how he could use what he could. He would not change anything of himself, it was just not needed.

Those thoughts, those pride lined thoughts almost stumbled right now. The hollow seemed gangly, but it sheer height hid the muscular that it was formed with. It was almost everything Medrus saw the opposite of him, and only by it being nothing but more pure bulk could that be made more so his thoughts went through dryly. It had appeared it the landscape of the white desert almost instantly, he put this down to the other hollow arriving back from the human world. Still, when it had landed not but a few meters from him, the hollow had bent over and hissed at him like a freakish creature. The sound and the action of also flexing its claws seemed more a show. Like so many hollows as of recent, he seemed to be being chosen as some type of meal. But this one wanted to make a show of its difference over the smaller hollow, the pride was there, in its movements, in its eyes.

Medrus had remained in his place, only swaying his body to one side. His thoughts of recent had spoken of progression, and with the show of the gangly hollow he felt his mind harden here. The other hollow lashed out finally one claw strewn limb shooting out towards the smaller hollow. Medrus dodges the attack, using his nimbleness more than his speed. While he lacked the armour and forms of other hollows, this was outweighed by the fact that he found himself to be the most nimble, if not the most, out of all the hollows he had ever encountered. A cool anger build in him, he would prove himself to this hollow, he would show that he could fight, and how he did. After all, he was still a hollow.

In the moment after he avoided the attack, he used the momentum of his dodge to swing his masked face around, and the small teeth like shard on the bottom edge of it cut across the back of the other hollow's arm, causing a bloody cut. The creature reacted and brought its cut arm backwards well sending his other arm down to piece Medrus. The smaller hollow merely ducked low, and slid through the hollow's legs, out of the way of the attack.

A small but simple attack, it was a start, but he would show that he could fight. But that split second of thought cost him. He was sent flying to the side some feet. Behind the gangly hollow, a thin snake like tail had been hidden behind its frame, and a circular orb attached to the end of it. It seemed this hollow might have had a reason to be proud. Medrus had not encountered hollows with more than the basic attack features often.

As he righted himself, the other hollow came about and was upon him again. This time both arms were flung towards him, its claws open, presenting a moving wall of knives. Medrus fell back on himself, looking as though he was merging into the very sand itself, flattening his form. The claws just flew over him, and gave him the momentary point needed to rise just behind them, his form shooting up and slithering on the back of one of its hands.

As the hollow waved the hand, Medrus slung his masked head down and caused a few more cuts on its hand. However his dull red eyes were remained on the other hand which came over to swipe him off. He waited, watching the clawed hand move, and jumped back, off the hand at the last moment. He had been hit slightly, not escaping the swipe completely, but by leaving at that point, some of the creature's claws had also gashed its other hand too.

The gangly hollow merely lowered its head, its bright red eyes focussing on him intently. Medrus merely twisted his form from where he had handed. This fight was not over, and now blood had been spilt by both.

The gangly hollow rushed Medrus, getting itself closer to him, and using the shrinking space to better pull its two clawed hand towards it, cutting off his movements. Medrus in response, moved closer to the hollow, and with the claws getting closer, the smaller hollow seemingly jumped on to the frame of the other hollow and slid over its body towards its head. It was true that his opponent was better equipped for close range combat, and so he was forced to fight in a more unorthodox manner.

As the clawed hand of the gangly hollow rose towards its frame to grab at Medrus, he in turn began to make small cuts across the beast's body, and pulling all his reiatsu into his movements, slithered around towards the back of the larger hollow. By moving away from the chest area, the hollow vainly tried to move its arms around to get at Medrus, and while they were still a risk, by being in more of a blind spot, he could evade them much easier.

Medrus however, while still climbing up the hollow's form, kept more focus on the creature's tail, and was soon justified when it swung past him, merely clipping part of his form. The other hollow had decided that it would be better to merely use its tail to try and swat Medrus of its back, than to still try with its claws. Still, it was only a few seconds that he needed, and despite another swish, Medrus was where he wanted, just beside the hollow's neck and head.

In one swift motion, he slid from the gangly hollow's back, and all around the creature's neck, extending his full form as much as he could. Constricting his body, he began to suffocate the hollow by crushing its throat with his form, all while still placing smaller cuts on its head and mask with his teeth like shards.

The other hollow brought both of its clawed hands up to cut or prise away Medrus, though from his place beside the creature's head, he too could see the appendages coming for him. Giving up choking the other hollow, he tried to disentangle from its neck and slide down its back, though he was not fast enough to escape a few of the claws cutting into him. If he had not moved then those claws and other might have ripped him apart, yet he escaped death then, with merely more cuts to show.

Sliding, and almost falling, down the hollow's back, even as it moved to again shake him, Medrus kept up with the small cuts. While the cuts on him were large and could prove dangerous, the ones he gave were much smaller. Though smaller, they were not as deadly, as the cuts would soon add up. For Medrus, in his mind, wished to tire down the hollow more before he was, and it he could then the balance in this struggle might suddenly favour him.
