Personality: Tamaki has a good deal of intellect which shows in his speech. He likes to read books to pass the time even if he's already read them... twice. He prefers to converse with those of his own intellectual level or at least someone who can fake it long enough to keep the topic interesting. Tamaki is rather calm and collected. He'll never lose his head even when faced with conflict and overall annoyances. Though Tamaki is all of this, he is not seen by many as a "prick". He's kind when a person is kind in turn and is rather generous when it comes to helping someone with a particular problem.

Appearance: Tamaki wears traditional Shinigami robes when on duty, however, when on leave he is seen wearing a black uniform jacket typically used by middle school students. Underneath the black jacket is a white collared dress shirt. Like the jacket, the pants are black. He wears black dress shoes to complete the gigai's outfit.

Tamaki's hair is a deep blue and his eyes are a soft aquamarine. His skin is light but not overly so...

History/Background: Tamaki was once a library-aide at his middle school back when he was alive. Since then, after he died from a horrible bookcase accident in which he was crushed to death, he'd been living in the soul society. He quickly took to shinigami training, having been found one day by a traveling squad 12 member, and was soon a graduate, top of his class of course. Well, at least when it came to testing grades, the physical portion wasn't so easy... Tamaki was accepted into Squad 12 and over the course of twenty long years, found himself where he stands today... The Captain of Squad 12.

Shikai

Call out phrase: Flood, Mizu Seirei!

Description of released form: The released form does not change from its sealed appearance during the shikai stage unless specified in the power's description.

Abilities:

Ability 1: Mizu-ken (Level 2 Required)

Description of ability: Mizu Seirei transforms into water during this Shikai release. The water rapidly multiplies over the course of the battle, from something the size of a puddle to something the size of a lake. The water can be manipulated by Tamaki's hands or by his eyes though using his hands to direct it increases the water's speed. The water can be used to slice through an opponent's flesh though can be blocked by barriers and such. The water can cut through steel and other strong metals though zanpakuto are too powerful for this attack to harm. This power can be extremely useful if the wielder is smart enough though it leaves the user without a blade to deflect attacks. On the same note, the water cannot block attacks. This is solely an offensive technique.

Ability 2: Doshaburi (Level 4 Required)

Description of ability: Clouds begin to form above Tamaki, whether he is inside or outside, it begins to drizzle. As time passes this drizzle becomes a heavy rain which can obscure the vision of opponents who are further than 30 feet away. The rain slowly regenerates Tamaki's spiritual energy and adds to the amount of water he can control with Mizu-ken. This is mainly a support technique.

Ability 3: Mizu-tai (Level 6 Required)

Description of ability: Tamaki's body becomes water, he can flow as he wishes and can reform into his original body as long as there is enough water to fill his body's volume. During this time Tamaki cannot be killed but he can be forced into a form of limbo if all the water in the area is evaporated, until such a time there is enough water again to reform his body. This can be seen as a defensive as well as a mobility technique.

Bankai

Call out phrase for Bankai: “The fall of dropping water wears away the Stone. Bankai.”

Description of the Bankai release: Mizu Seirei transforms into a hangar sword comprised of a combination of steel and water that retains its shape. This water also forms the handguard which allows Tamaki more control over his weapon with the use of his Mizu-ken ability. The water contains very concentrated reiatsu which an opponent with weaker spiritual pressure may not be capable of cutting. This also allows the blade to cut through nearly any material with little resistance though, as with the Mizu-ken ability, this cannot cut through another zanpakuto. At the base of the blade, where it meets the handguard, there is a deep violet pearl held in a claw setting. This pearl is able to gather spiritual energy from Tamaki's Doshaburi ability in order to replenish the blade's reiatsu water.

Ability 1: Tsunami (Level 8 required)

Description of ability: A wall of water bursts from the ground in a 100-meter radius circle around Tamaki. The wall reaches 100-meters in height before curling inwards like a wave. This wave continues to curl inward until it crashes onto the ground with a force strong enough to crush buildings. This wave falls just short of Tamaki's location in the center, though if he were to move from the location he initiated the ability he would risk being harmed by his own ability. Once the water has crashed into the ground, it will be free to flow about as if naturally occurring water. Thus the water level will lower quickly so that anyone submerged will not likely drown. It is possible for objects and creatures to be swept away by the water as it flows away from the crash site. It is worth noting that if this ability is used in a sealed room or container, it will instead fill the room with high-density water. The pressure of this water may crush bone and force air out of lungs, Tamaki will be affected by this as well unless he is in Mizu-tai form. The high-pressure water will try to escape its container and thus the walls of the room will likely be forced open to allow the water to burst out of it like a geyser.
