An average sized male, slightly on the thin side. He has sharp facial features and very light blue eyes, some can even mistake him as a blind man. He has strange symbols embedded into his body, the symbols being of an unknown origin but the one that pops up to most is the strange line that goes from under his right eye. He wears the usual Shinigami outfit but has a single adjustment to it, the long blue, hooded, cloak, with strange white drawing on it. His Zanpaktou is located on his right side, Zadkiel being left handed. The hood of the cloak is big enough to cover his face and when the cloak is closed it can conceal his whole body, and even more.


Personality: A rather calm young man who is driven by emotions. He is a protector in the shadow and one who sees himself as a purifier of the world, to purify it of evil and corruption. He is rather chaty to those “on his side” but stays relatively quite to his enemies, not wanting to expose any of his weaknesses through speech. He is a man who relies on his intelligence above all else in life. He attempts to pursue intelligence, no matter where it may be found. When alone he is found sometimes talking to himself, using himself as a whiteboard for his thoughts,letting them be spoken for better memorization instead of everything being sealed up in his head. He tends to be an honest man, not lying, even in some of the most dire situations. He also tends to be a little OCD, liking everything in his possession to be a slight way.

A usual 65 cm blade with another 8 inch hilt. The hilt being slightly curved upward after 6 inches. The blade is serrated, formed like that from the 6 year exposure to Zadkiel’s spirit energy while in the academy. The wrapping is dark blue, as well as the sheath. The beginning of the sheath has a strap for holding, so it might not always be carried around the waist. The hilt guard is circular, golden, figure with strange symbol embeddings in it.

History: Hatred was something well accustomed to Gabriele, now known as Zadkiel. It was something he had lived with on a daily basis since the age of five. Before hatred of others, he was first hated by his family, mainly his father. He was born to an average woman and man who were married and conceived a child. A child who brought death to the mother as he exited her womb.

This drove the father to slow growing hatred, and once the boy had reached the age of two, it gave him an opportunity for him to unleash his anger, slowly. He had beaten the small, fragile boy who had been barely fed, only enough for him to survive and grow enough to not be questioned by the government. Gabriele had no control of the situation and noticed that he was doomed to this life, so he accepted it.

One day however an angel smiled at Gabriele and his father had finally been caught by a neighbor for beating his child, and actions had been taken. He was taken to a foster home. Gabriele though it was a new, happy beginning, he was unfortunately wrong. It was the continuation of more misery.

He was hated in the church ran adoption house. He had claimed to see people who no one else saw, and even mentioned some children who had killed themselves there, having seen their ghosts. The nuns thought that the devil was communicating with this boy, so they put him through painful “exorcism” to rid the boy from these demons.

Gabriele had learned to stop speaking of these ghosts, learning how to distinguish them from the humans, by the chains on their bodies. He had been claimed “cleaned”, or at least his soul. He was in the adoption house for another two years, reaching the age of four, before he was adopted by an un-happy couple who were unable to conceive on their own.

His new parents were good at first, but then Gabriele decided to tell them about his ability to see dead people, which the parents took as a sign for illness and shoved him into a therapist’s office every week.

Once he began school, two years later, he was shunned by the students for being “different”. No other kid having seen a therapist so young. He was bullied constantly with phrases about his mother and asking whether he was able to see her, the secret of his past having come to light to these childhood bullies. Gabriele buried himself in stories of fantasy, escaping his reality. He had survived in these stories for an extra nine years before he entered his late teenage years, where the bullying escalated.

One day he was dragged out to the cemetery by a large group of local kids to mock his ability to see the dead. When Gabriele finally snapped and began to attempt to fight back, he was quickly broken down. He was punched a few times and fell backwards to hit his head on a sharp, new, tombstone. This cut open the back of his head, letting him bleed out and running away, the group dispersed, leaving the boy to die.

He was found by a shinigami and brought to the soul society, with no knowledge of himself, where he was or who he even was. He spent the next one hundred and fifteen years finding out who he truly was, sleeping on the outskirts of the districts, away from people for a large majority of his life as a soul.

Through that time he discovered he was a intellectual man and began to think of a name for himself, and remembering he was of Greek origins, and using some stories he had read, he chose the name Zadkiel, the Archangel of freedom, benevolence, and mercy. Choosing a basic surname as Zervas, due to him being left handed. He also learned of his high amount of spirit energy compared to others that he had met and had even met a shinigami at one point who suggested he attempted to enter the shino school, and so he did.

On his 6th year of the Shino academy now he excels in his Kido studies, and passes by with the rest. He knows that the path of the Shinigami is the one for him.

Role Playing Sample: The bullying had grown far more intense today. The local group of bullies, who had been at it for a good seven years at least, had finally pushed Gabriele to his limits. The dark cemetery in the dusk of the way was growing cold and not only were the kids from his school watching him, but so were some souls. He had noticed the souls as he entered the area. They seemed lost, unaware of why they were there. Most souls did seem to be like that.

Gabriele had finally had enough however. After being pushed around in a circle, the throwing of his favorite stories, such as ones of King Arthur, being thrown into a nearby river, Gabriele has snapped. He had swung his weak arm at the biggest bully of all, to only see it miss. He didn't know why he had missed, how could he be so stupid to actually miss? The bullies next task of punishment was about to commence.
