Drunk and Disorderly (open) Empty
PostSubject: Drunk and Disorderly (open)   Drunk and Disorderly (open) I_icon_minitimeMon Jul 01, 2013 2:36 pm

It had been another one of those all to common bad days for him, all of which seemed to start in the prison cell. It had been a few months since he left the 'hospital' that had treated his wound from the strange arena. When they finally released him, his wounds were healed, but the scars were so bad he had to keep most of his skin covered. Not that he minded of course, at least they had given him real clothes and not the goofy black robes that everyone here seemed to love. Upon his discharge, he was escorted to a massive gate, at which only one word described the 'man' guarding the gate. Giant. Rev put the man at well over thirty feet tall, straining his neck as he stared in wonder. When he stepped through the gateway, his wonder ceased as the gate slammed behind him. "Ya know, for being proved innocent an all, those shini-whatever people are kinda rude.." he mumbled to himself. He glanced around, and started walking down the road ahead of him. "Well North it is.." he said out loud.

That was the start of his journey north, a journey that went from bad, to worse, to downright strange. As he continued north, the quality of living dropped harshly, and the crime rate skyrocketed. A day didn't go by that he didn't have to defend himself, or someone else in distress at least twice a day. The people he encountered were grateful for his help, and would offer him food or a place to rest in exchange for the help he had given. But what he found strange was, out of all the fighting, he bare had to use any effort, which he found, disturbingly, boring. But he pressed on, day after day, carving a path north. Soon, the fighting wasn't what bothered him, It was his repeating dream that disturbed him the most. At first the dream would rarely occur, but as his journey, and time, progressed the frequency, and intensity of the dream escalated. To the point that over the last week or so, he stopped sleeping altogether. But now the dream was manifesting itself in reality, at first it would be like a whisper too soft for him to make out, or a blur of motion out of the corner of his eye. Now however, he was constantly tormented, to the point he refused to go any further north. He had found a bar in a particularly rundown village, that he offered his services as a bouncer to the owner, in exchange for a place to rest, and some food. The owner gladly accepted and even offered him free drinks on the slow nights, to which Rev happily obliged. He had been at this bar for nearly three weeks today, the day where nothing seemed to go right.

The bar was small, booths lined the walls and a few tables lay in between them and the bar against the back wall. The bar was quiet nearly the whole night, which wasn't uncommon. The bartender, and owner of the establishment had given rev the night off, but having nowhere else to go he decided to drink here, something he had been doing more than he would have liked too, but it was the only think that kept his dream at bay, and would allow him some sleep.  The waitress, the owners daughter, attended to the few customers that were present, the regulars, most of which had pushed their luck at one time or another, and knew that Rev could handle the lot of them without even drawing his blade, which rested in the booth next to him.

Rev sat in the back corner booth facing the door. Today had been a particularly bad day for him, the constant torment was at an all time high, and not even the alcohol was keeping his tormentor at bay. The whispers would call his name, taunt him, or he would see a figure dressed in red out of the corner of his eye, but when he would turn to face the source, he would here laughter and giggling behind him. Earlier in the day, the waitress had caught him yelling at nothing in the back room, and had since kept her distance from him. He knew she said something to the owner, and since them they had both gave him extra space. He knew he couldn't stay here much longer if this kept up, and he didn't want to cause any problems for the owner, something he had been struggling with all day. With the decision made in his head he stood up, to tell the owner thank you, but he was leaving. But as he stood, he could hear loud voices outside the door, and as if on que, a group of five men in black robes with swords at their waists stepped into the bar. Something about them didn't sit well with Rev, so he decided to stay a little while longer. Although he knew next to nothing about the owner and his daughter, they had given him a job and a place to stay, and didn't ask any questions. And he would hate that this be the night something happened to the people who had shown him some kindness. The five men hadn't noticed him yet, so he sat back in his booth, and pulled the bill of his hat low, to shadow his face.

The men pushed to of the tables together, and sat around them, ordering drinks, and carrying on loudly. He watch silently from his corner, taking mental notes of the men. Blood stains were barely visible on the sleeves of their black robes, and two of the men's robes had cuts and tears in them. They were loud, and their sense of over confidence radiated from them. The bigger of the men was the leader of the group from what he could tell, and he had an ego to match. His guess they were one of the gangs, and had just one a fight against their rivals. Which if that was the case, he knew he would have little problem dealing with them if they were to get out of hand. But still, something about the men didn't sit right with him, and whatever it was, his hand rested instinctively on his sword in the booth beside him.

A few hours, and several rounds of drinks later, the men were louder, and more rough then when they sat down. What started as harmlessly flirting with the waitress, was now quickly escalating into unwanted touching, and lewd comments. To which, she would put on an uncomfortable smile, and push there hands away. It was then that he notice the regulars avoiding eye contact with the black robed men, giving them space, and even going out of their ways to avoid them. Rev eyes scanned the entirety of the establishment, Noting that everyone, even her own father, was ignoring the way the five men treated the waitress. The sound of the waitress gasping and the loud slap that followed, drew his attention back to the scene. The girl had been pulled into their leaders lap, and he had apparently tried to kiss her. She was pushing trying to get herself free from the mans grip, to no avail. It was then that he stood up, unnoticed but the five men. But the bartender motioned for Rev to stay out of it, something which Rev ignored.

Some people call fishing a sport, while others called it hobby. Watching someone fish is many times more boring than watching paint dry. There wasn't much for the the fisherman to do other than to wait and watch. Instead of calling it a sport Arawn would call fishing an art. It required much discipline, equal parts patience, and a good sense of judgement. You set the bait, you wait, and then you pick the right moment to snag the fish. If done right you can reel them in with ease, but even then the fish will fight you. But chances are they won't get far, if the hook is set right. Truly a wondrous skill fishing. One had to respect the fisherman for challenging not only nature, but himself. Arawn smiled for now he was the fisherman and his prey was something bigger than a fish and pond he found himself at was a whole district. But he had one of the fisherman's tools; patience. And so he had watched and waited. Everyday he moved through the district. He hunched himself over and wore a dirty cloak with a hood. There were holes in the fabric and the smell of dung permeated from ever inch. He had taken the time to smear dirt upon his face and mud through his hair. When he walked he made sure to stagger and make a sickly cough. No one approached him and those that did usually moved away quickly. Over time he was ignored by the people in general. Not once had anyone questioned where he had come from nor did they seem to care. This all worked well for him. After a week he used a less foul smelling cloak so that he might move closer to observing the populace. Yes, he had patience. Much more than those also hunting the malcontents.  Arawn smiled beneath his hood as he thought of the other shinigami combing the district trying to track down the rogues. While he hadn't any luck of late, he felt he was on the right track. People talked and with his near invisibility he was privy to alot of information. One such thing he heard was that some shinigami were in town. Move over they were heading to a nearby bar. To this Arawn thought it was those in his group, but the way the people were whispering said there was more to it. And so he made his way to the tavern. He knew the general direction. Ahead on the path he saw the people in question. Could this be them? He kept his distance, but didn't loose sight of them. After they entered, he waited then followed. In seconds the invisible man slipped through the door and took a chair over looking the mens' table. He kept his head down his face falling into the shadow of the cloak. They men were quite rowdy. Arawn kept to his seat and waited. This could be them. If he acted too rashly he might blow his cover and all his hard work be wasted. So he decided to watch and listen. Maybe he could find something out.

He stepped up to the bar, and sat on one of the stools, his back to the rowdy men. The old man glanced at him, and once he realized what the looks in Rev's eyes, as well as his facial expression meant, he quickly stepped over to him. He began to frantically whisper about not wanting to cause trouble with them, begging Rev not to interfere. But the old man's voice was lost among the whispers only He heard. Without saying a word, Rev reached behind the counter, and grabbed the bottle of some kind of dark liquor. The old mans hand shot out, grabbing him by the wrist. "You don't understand, If you start trouble with them-" He whispered, pleading with rev, but a single glance and the disturbing smirk on Rev's face silenced him, and he drew his hand back in fear. Rev set a small sack of coins behind the counter, and whispered to the old man. "This may not cover all the damages, but i promise you this, Nothing will fall back on you. Just follow my lead.." With that he pulled the cork from the bottle, up turned it, and began to drink it down. Atleast thats what it would look like to the untrained eye, he was actually spilling more down the front of his shirt that was even entering his mouth.

"WHAT DO YA MEAN Yous Cuttin me off?" He shouted, and slammed the half empty bottle down onto the bar,  loud enough to get the attention of the bar. Rev's speech was terribly slurred, and he began to sway from side to side on the stool. The old man looks at him shocked for a moment, the his face hardened as he caught onto the game. "I SAID YOU ARE DONE YOU STUPID DRUNKEN IDIOT!! NOW GET THE HELL OUTA MY BAR." He shouted the anger on his face seem genuine enough the even Rev was almost taken aback. "Oh yeah? What are yous gonna do, old man?" Rev said very loudly, standing suddenly, and knocking his stool back, which landed on one of the rowdy mans feet. The man drew his foot back quickly, shouting what rev assumed was a string of curses in a different language. Rev's whole body indicated he was drunk beyond reason, he swayed from side to side, even with both his hands planted on to bar to keep his balance. The old man and rev grabbed the bottle at the same instant. "Screw you old man, I paid for this shit you call booze." He shouted, pulling the bottle out of the mans hand. He took a step back from the bar, then stumbled back a few steps, stepping on the mans other foot by "accident". Rev's gambit had paid off, almost in unison all of the men stood up, and the one he had stepped on shove Rev so hard he almost went over the bar, but the bottle remained in rev's hand. "THE HELL IS YOUR PROBLEM YOU STUPID DRUNK?! Do you know who the fuck we are?" the one rev assumed was their leader shouted, while rev got himself standing again. Rev's reply was quick, and loud. He took a step toward the closest of the men, and the bottle of liquor shattered against the mans head. "Like I gives a fucks?! You punk asses want to go too?!? I'll take ya all on!! Yer Nothing but a bunch a bitches!!" rev shouted back at the leader, putting up a mockery of a fighting stance. What happened next caught even rev by surprise.

The 'leader' of the men vanished from Rev's sight, reappearing beside him. And in one swift motion, sent Rev flying  into the back corner of the bar. The table he landed on was crushed under the weight of the impact. "Alright boys, Looks like this clown need to be made an example of, drag his sorry ass outside." their leader said. Two of the remaining four men started towards the jumbled heap in the corner. The to men stood over him as he started to stand, the bigger of the two grinned. "who said said you could stand?" He shouted, kicking rev in the face, snapping his upper body back and through the window above where the table had been. Laughter filled the air in the bar, the four conscious men all began to laugh and joke about how he had picked a fight with the wrong people. The man that kicked him grabbed him by the front of his shirt, pulling him out of the broken glass. Rev's body was limp, his he hung down to one side. "Stupid drunk, picking a fight with us." The man said laughing. Rev glanced to his left, his sword was still in the corner, one booth away from him. Rev made weak attempts to stand on his own, but once his feet were planted he gave the bulky man his reply. "I'm not that drunk.."He whispered at first, to which the bulky man replied "What? Speak up!". "I said, I'm Not That DRUNK!"  rev said, and his hands shot up, one grabbing the bulky man's wrist twisting into and breaking his grip, the other grabbing to the back of the mans head, and by shifting his own weight and twisting his body, slamming the mans head into the wall next to the window, cracking the wall in the process. The man reeled backwards, letting out a howl of pain, while the other men drew their swords. Blood poured out of his nose, and most of his front teeth were now missing, he rolled from side to side on the ground, screaming at the top of his lung how he was going to kill Rev.  Rev quickly dove to his left, grabbing his own sword from its resting place, then with a grin, he dove through the window, out into the night. The three other men followed, two out the front door, and one out the window, after him, leaving their battered comrades behind.

OOC: I thought there were five men at the start.

His face obscured by the cloak the shinigami studied his surroundings. His target possibly before him he was cautious should he need to make a move or escape. The only door he saw leading out was the one he had entered from. Most taverns had a second exit in the back. Such things were used for deliveries at least that's what he recalled in other districts. There were windows which would also provide and easy escape, some risk, but very possible. As he sat at his table he gave the wall a knock. It was firm, but with some power he was sure he could force his way through it. Good enough. Now Arawn's eyes fell upon the rest of the bar; the occupants. There were others here besides the targets. If something did happen he would need to be aware of the civilians. He didn't want them to get caught up in the mess. Thankfully most of the other patrons were keeping there distance from the rowdy bunch. That was good. If worse came to worse he could place himself between the group and the others customers. His assessment complete he went to watching the group. There wasn't much to see they were having a good time laughing and talking amongst themselves for the most part. Arawn decided he would shadow them for as long as possible. Once they go outside he would contact the others in the patrol. The customers were visibly unnerved by the men and in turn the men acted increasingly more rambunctious. It was if they were feeding off fear and using it to create more. Very interesting for the scientist in Arawn, but repulsive. Since no one approached them their behavior was contained, but then came the waitress. Inside the shadow of his cloak he flinched. It was pretty obvious what was going to happen. It was her job after all to service the customers. At the same time if she hadn't they would have probably gotten more violent. And so the lamb went to the wolves. Her reward was to be manhandled and assaulted. They were playing with her, roughly. The panic they caused her was mirrored in the faces of the other customers, but they averted their gaze when the men looked their way. They were torturing only the girl, but affecting everyone. And in turn that made them assault her more. The vicious cycle resumed.

He pondered some course of action when shouting diverted his attention. Men at the bar were arguing, it was barely audible from his position on the other side of the men. He only caught parts of the conversation as he watched the spectacle unfold. While both men seemed angry. The younger one pulled away and staggered about. Arawn was going to think nothing more of it, but then the man approached the group. That caught Arawn's attention. Those deliberate motions were similar to the ones he made when going through town. That was no accident. Was this man trying to pick a fight? It would seem so as it happened again and the group reacted. The man would get what he asked for a fight seemed eminent. One of the men vanished with a single blow sent the pretending drunk flying. The shinigami cringed as the man crashed into table in the corner. There was no doubt the man had used shunpo. Well it seemed these were indeed the men in question. Now he had to save the man being attacked. He stood from his own seat as they continued their assault. But then attacker was sent reeling crying out in pain. Surprisingly enough the supposed drunk man had some fight in him. The larger man was hit and went down. The others were too stunned to react and that opportunity was all the drunk needed to escape. But before he left he stopped to grab something from the corner. Arawn thought it odd for him to delay his egress, but saw the weapon as he leaped through the window. A sword? Did he really mean to best a group of trained shinigami? The other men followed quickly behind him.

The tavern was almost quiet if not for the groans of the injured man. Arawn moved from his seat as he pulled back his cloak and hood. Standing over the man he examined the extent of the damage. There was blood running down his face and out his mouth. The drunk had hit him good. Reaching into his clothes he pulled out his phone.
"I've located the targets." he said after dialing "One at my present location, in pursuit of the others." While he was talking he hadn't noticed that the man had risen to his feet. His face was red not just with blood, but with anger. He had heard Arawn's words and rage had fueled him to forget the pain. He let out a savage growl and raised his arms to grab the unaware shinigami. He suddenly stopped and his eyes rolled up into his head as he fell forward. Arawn turned around just ass he collapsed. Standing behind him was one of he patrons a broken bottle in his hand. He looked at the red haired man and gave a smile accompanied with a shrug. Arawn merely nodded. His phone now closed he tore a length of cloth from his cloak. "Please tie his thumbs together behind his back. Someone should be here shortly to pick him up." With that he ran out after the group. Hopefully he would be able to find them before the overtook the drunk.

PostSubject: Re: Drunk and Disorderly (open)   Drunk and Disorderly (open) I_icon_minitimeThu Jan 09, 2014 5:09 am

He darted into the dark alley behind the tavern. His breathe was steady, but his blood began to race with the thrill of combat, which was something he was not used to. During his life, the combat he saw in the military his main priority was to take care of the injured, the others in his squad usually did all the shooting. There were time he had to fight, but the were never that often, and when he did, he remained calm. But since his death, the thrill of combat was something he enjoyed, to the point he started fights just to feel it again. He gave his head a quick shake as he ran, pushing those thought out of his head and focusing on the task at had. But little did he realize that he was still grinning with anticipation.

Rev knew he had to lure them away from the tavern, but in his haste he headed towards the small 'town' that lay to the north of the tavern. This 'town', as in his opinion the term was being used in the loosest of senses, was little more the a half dozen shabby buildings surrounded but shanties, tents, and whatever else the locals could throw together to make some form of shelter. He let out a string of curses under his breath as he ran down the makeshift path through the shanty town to the main buildings. He shot a quick glance over his shoulder to see only two of the bandits  following behind him, and closing quickly. When his gaze returned to what was ahead of him he nearly tripped trying to stop. There blocking the path ahead of him was the leader of these miscreants. Rev stared at the man is disbelief, he only turned his gaze away for a second at the most, and yet there the man stood.

"Well, this is awkward.." rev mumbled, his right hand hovering above his sword in his left. Behind him he heard the other two come to a stop and draw their blades, and he awaited an attack from either direction. But to his surprise their leader made a motion with his hand and the sheathed their blades. "That won't be necessary." the leader said to his underlings. His gaze shifted to meet Rev's battle ready eyes. "You seem surprised, you must be wondering how i got in front of you so quickly. You see if you were a shinigami like us, you would know how to use shunpo." He said, the arrogance in his voice was already getting on revs nerve's. "You think your so tough just because you carry a sword around, and you can catch one of my stupidest men off guard? Your nothing compared to use mighty shinigami, to use your nothing more than a worm." The man continued, walking in a wide circle around Rev, putting some of the shanties between them. 'He's such a fool, If only he knew how strong we really are.' a female voice echoed inside rev's head, loud enough to drown out the man. Before rev's eyes a figure made up of a dark mist appeared in front of him, making his eyes go wide. He quickly shut his eyes and shook his head, "Shut up! Your not real...." he mumbled under his breath. "What was that? the leader of the thugs said, now standing in front of him, leaning towards Rev's lowered head, "Begging for your life?" He said with a satisfied grin. The voice continued in a more mocking tone, 'But of course your a bigger idiot to deny our very existence, so you wouldn't know what your true power is.'

Rev's gaze shot up, fulled with a hate-filled rage. "I SAID SHUT THE FUCK UP!!" He screamed, his blade singing as he unsheathed it, cutting the man across the cheek, as he barely dodged out of the way. What he didn't realize was the small, yet powerful burst of power that emanated from him in that instant, is what really shocked and stunned them momentarily. The leader stumbled back a few steps, which was all the opportunity Rev needed. He turned and made a wide horizontal slice toward the two underlings, then continuing the motion, spun, ran, and flipped over the stunned leader. Once he landed, he sheathed his sword and sprinted towards the wider main street. The leader shouted to his underlings to cut rev off, but he was already too far ahead, or so he thought. He slide on a patch of loose dirt as he entered the main road, stumbling for a moment till he regained his footing. He turned to the east, but to his regret and disbelief, the underlings stood. He spun in place only to find their leader blocking the west end of the road, all of their blades were drawn, and the intent to kill radiated from them all. He placed his hand on his sword, ready to draw it.

Things weren't going well. The time it took for him to take care of the last rogue had given his quarry too much of a lead. His eyes scanned the area looking for any sign of their passage. It was faint, but he could barely make out the foot prints of those in pursuing the young man. He groaned as he tried is best to make sense of the markings. It could have just been some kids running by, there was no way for him to know if it was the ones he was looking for. Something was better than nothing so he sprinted into the indicated direction. Even as he ran he kept his eyes open for any sign he was going the right way. It wasn't easy to be observant of one's surroundings while running at full speed. Yet Arawn tried. He wove his way through the buildings and the make shift homes. This wasn't exactly the best looking town he'd been in, nor was it the worst. There was a sudden shout that made him skid to a halt. Someone was yelling? Could it be them? It seemed he had passed them He strained his ears to pinpoint the direction. Holding his breath he stood as still as a stone waiting for a clue. He was in luck as there came another shout from his right. It was hard to tell the distance, but it was close. Arawn focused for a second before jumping in the desired direction. By no means a simple leap a trained shinigami can launch their bodies many hundreds of feet into the air. At this time Arawn only used a fraction of his strength to send him flying over the buildings. From the sky he had a better vantage of the situation. When he had risen high enough Arawn focused his reirykou and found himself standing on nothing. There. He saw the men racing through the street below him. He moved through the air with ease following the chase from above. Finally they stopped and Arawn released his hold and descended. "No time to be graceful." he said to himself as he dropped like a stone. At the last minute he used his power to slow his descent. Arawn landed behind the two men that blocked Rev's advance. The leader blinked finally noticed the appearance of the fifth man. The man had been so intent upon Rev he hadn't seen the shinigami fall from the sky. "Pardon me." he said his face still hidden by his hood, both men were startled by the sudden presence behind them. Arawn's dirt caked hand reached out as if asking for an offering. They seemed relaxed to see it but what looked to be a dirty clothed beggar.

Something was off, dangerously so at that. His eyes never shifted from his target, but something was nagging at the back of his mind, something screaming in his face yet he could not, would not see it.  Rev didn't even notice the beggar, the nagging sense in his head,  and the ruffian leader's sword had his full attention. The sword had changed in shape, before it was a katana like the others but now it looked like machete, only quite a bit bigger. He wasn't sure if his mind was playing tricks on him or not at this point, it wouldn't surprise him in the least. The nagging in the back of his mind pleaded for attention but he continued to ignore it. A voice as clearly as if someone was standing next to him rang out inside his head. "Fine you want to ignore us? lets see how you handle things on your own." With that there was absolute silence in his head, and it was then things started to sink in. He could feel the power radiating from the man before him, but thats not what scared him the most. His sword was heavy, very heavy. The leader must have sensed something as well, as he started laughing. After a moment he finished and said: "You know, for a second there i swore you were stronger than even me. But sadly, from what i am sensing from you now, I wouldn't have to even use my Kurisutarurēku here."

"Your what? you mean that piece of shit machete? Please i could cut right through-" Rev started to say, but was interrupted. The leader leapt forward slicing downward, Rev barely got his arm up to block, which was his last resort. The machete bit deep into his arm, tearing the flesh and muscle from the bone in a 'v' shaped wound. Rev fell backwards from the sheer force of the blow, landing on his still sheathed blade, and clutching his injured left arm. To the untrained eyes of the bandits, it looked as if rev panicked and blocked instead of dodging. But that was only half true, he knew his comment would provoke the attack. His hand had been resting on his sword hilt the whole time, ready to slice the man's other cheek, or maybe just his throat this time. But, when he tried to pull the blade out, it stayed sheathed. He didn't try a second time instead going for the block.

((O.C.C. Note: Not sure if zanpakuto's can be that temperamental or not, but i thought it would be fun, srry for the long delay as well...work has been absolute hell))

Well this isn't good Arawn thought from beneath his hood. He had managed to catch up with his quarry, but it seemed things had escalated rather quickly. Already the men had drawn their weapons. Quietly he cursed himself for not drawing his own weapon. But with the people advancing on the fake drunk he thought it best to divert their attention. He was only half successful. One of the men had already engaged their target. The two men before him weren't sure what to make of the beggar. Their boss was too busy fighting to give them orders. Instead they decided to take the easy approach and try to brush him off. Brandishing his weapon one of the men took a step forward.
"Get out of here, unless you want to be next." he growled waving the blade menacingly. As he closed the distance between himself and the dirty robed beggar he reached out with his hand and pushed the figure. Imagine his surprise as the other man didn't move an inch. The confusion was evident on his face. True he hadn't used all of his strength, but it should have been enough to knock the other man to the ground. Instead he felt like he was pushing against a steel wall. "What the hell?" He he looked down at the slightly shorter man. This ain't right Something in the back of his mind told him. Yet he stood there dumbfounded. A sudden warmth engulfed his out stretched hand. A feeling that he had felt before, he took a step backwards, but it was too late.

"Bakudo #5: Senko." Arawn spoke as his reiatsu flowed from his body. A dazzling light exploded from his open palm. The nova white light engulfed the man and his companion only a little distance behind him. Beneath the hood Arawn was shielded from the flash. Not that it would have any effect on him anyway. One man screamed while the other grunted as they were blinded by the searing light. Like that the light vanished, but not for the two men. For them the light persisted. The man swung his weapon. Too wide. Without his eyes he couldn't even target Arawn standing barely 3 feet away. The shinigami knew he had to finish this quickly. First he would handle these men then assist the other man. Hopefully the fake drunk could fend for himself for a few seconds. The man was swinging wildly trying to hit his unseen foe. Wasting no time Arawn exploited one of the many openings on the blind. A simple lung and he closed the distance between them. His right hand buried itself into his abdomen. Unprepared for the strike the man's breath was knocked from him. Before he could recover he sent his right foot towards the man's face. The muscle power he had used to jump high into the air went into the kick. His head snapped backwards as the foot collided with his jaw. He was lifted off the ground and tumbled backwards through the air. A moment later he fell to the ground in a tangled heap. Arawn was already turning his attention to the second man. This one was rubbing his eyes as if it would restore his sight. He held his weapon at the ready, but he couldn't see which way to point the blade.
"Look out boss, he's aRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHH!" The words of warning became a scream as Arawn's foot came contact with the side of his head. A round house kick to his unprotected side. The blow sent him sideways into the wall of the nearest building. Despite catching him unaware the man managed to keep hold of his weapon after the impact. Breathing hard he struggled to stand. "I'm not done yet." he gasped. Even with the spell wearing off Arawn wasn't too worried about much of a fight from the man. Such a hit to temple had already put him to a disadvantage. Still he hazarded a glance over to the other fight. It might  be best he step in. The target might kill the other man. They both had swords, but the way the other was swinging it around made him worry.
