| A tall, muscular man was walking through the forest, his reiatsu causing even the trees to shake and tremble in fear. He was wearing a captains haori, his sword dragging behind him, and currently he was waiting for yet another captain to arrive. This was the captain of the the 13th division, Ezoroth. They had been sent out to Rukongai in order to check up on disturbances that some of the members from squad 12 happened to find, and as he waited he sat down. The wait shouldn't be long, he heard that the captain accompanying him would be rather strong, but he didn't care much for it. The disturbances that were talked about seem to just be a mass collection of hollow, and he would probably be able to take them on by himself; another person may just slow him down or hinder him. However, he felt a pulse of reiatsu that seemed to be like a hollows, and he stood up quickly. It was very weak, but he still was ready. He didn't want to be caught off guard.
A sudden roar from his left and a hollow about twice his size runs out at him. It was shaped like a slightly deformed lion, and he quickly turned to his left and grabbed its mask, stopping it dead in its tracks. The hollow was confused, and unable to move. Ezoroth was pumping reiatsu at a massive rate, and suddenly crushed the hollows mask in, and draw his sword in a sluggish, yet powerful swing. The hollow was cut clean in half as Ezoroth went back to sitting down and waiting. What was the other captain going to look like? What would she act like? Matter of fact, what was her name?
His eyes opened quickly. Names... Names... He never cared much for them. He was slowly going through his mind of names that he thought were hers. Kaiya? Kiyo? Kiya? Kiyi? Something like that. Names are such a nuisance. He closed his eyes again and began to listen to the surrounding air. The wind whistling through the trees and the creaking of the branches slowly singing their lullaby. He couldn't see anything, and so he could only imagine the colours of the environment. It was peaceful, and calm. The colours being smooth and yet delightfully vibrant. They weren't piercing bright, but they weren't dull and pale either. He slowly got comfortable on the soft ground as he could hear the flow of a river. It probably wasn't too far from here, and it might explain why, when he opens his eyes, the grass is rather vibrant and ubiquitous around here.

| Kaiyo was in high spirits; she'd finally been sent out to do something herself, with the company of another Captain but she wasn't counting that for this personal victory. She bounded through the air gracefully, flash stepping to the edge of the forest. The thick tree's seemed almost menacing on approach, towering above the blonde girl with unfurled branches that stretched and intertwined the forest. Un-repelled by the eeriness, the short Captain leapt through. Her light footsteps were lost in the sounds of the wind rustling through the greenery; trailing along behind her. She leapt to the ground , rolling back up to her feet as she continued at her fast pace. There was nothing like a good run around to wake her up in the morning. She bounced left to right, hitting the pools of light that had splashed through the thick trees. An unstoppable smile stretched across her face, crinkling her button nose ever so slightly.
Her blonde hair fluttered against her cheeks as she changed direction, inches from the floor as she planted her hand down to anchor the turn; leaping up through the air to continue her route. Her haori flapped against her small frame as she moved, flashing streaks of pale blue from it's lining. Finally, she could hear the stream ahead. Too engrossed in her indefatigable joy to take full register of the Captain waiting for her as she leapt in to a clearing.
Kaiyo landed quite dramatically just metres from the Captain, arms outstretched and one knee lowered to soften the impact of the touchdown. She lifted her head with a smile, straightening up her small frame as she held her hand out to the man. Her smile widened to a slight giggle when she finally got a look at her partner of the day. He was the newest 13th squad Captain, build a brick house and stood at what felt like twice Kaiyo's height. He'd look like he was caring for daughter. 'Kaiyo Saiyouko. Captain Kenpachi of 11th squad, nice to meet ya properly' again' her crystal gaze trailed the man's frame curiously. She could tell already the kind of reiatsu he was packing. It was rare to meet someone as strong. The grass that cushioned her feet began to disobey the wind, trailing away from the pair for fear of their combined power. She'd only seen this man a few times, usually just in passing, aside from his title ceremony, but she'd heard enough about him. Hopefully she covered not knowing his name well enough by introducing herself though.

| Ezoroth opened his eyes without a rush, and then shook the girls hand. She was rather short, and young. Her reiatsu was just about the same as his own, but she was really, really quick. He nodded when she said her name, and though he didn't truly have the thought to talk much, he knew that it would be disrespectful to skip introductions. The wind picked up suddenly and he watched the blonde hairs on the girl quickly move around and flap against her face, a thing his hair, at about half the length of her hair, spikes up naturally and without problem. No matter about the details, back to the introduction.
"Ezoroth Roze, 13th Division Captain." he said quick and without falter, but something was bugging him. "Sorry, but I expected somebody a bit older... You look quite young to be a Captain." he continued, but before she could respond he smiled and spoke again "No big deal, it'll be fun to have some energy on the field." and he then looked at the district boundaries that he hadn't passed yet. "The anomaly is in the next district, about eighty feet to the north-east. Lets take it carefully and slowly, not to run in. We don't know what we're up against." he said. He then started to walk into the next district with his sword dragging behind him. He was wondering whether she would even listen, or if she would just rush in and get herself into a bind. He was slowly walking towards the disturbance, and suddenly felt a large amount of spiritual pressures, he couldn't even start to count them. He didn't falter or hesitate, but instead stopped and drew his sword ready to battle. The enemies definitely had the numbers, but did they have the strength? His reiatsu was wrecking the area, and he wasn't going to rush in, or not yet at least. He would wait for them to strike first.
"Again, do not rush in." he said as he took a few steps back... The anomaly was strangely eery. As though something was calling all of these hollow to this spot. Were there Menos here, maybe? He looked up through the trees, but he didn't see any Menos. Something really strange was happening... He wanted to ask why she thought that they were all gathering at this location, and if she wanted to flank them, but for some reason he didn't feel it necessary. Unfortunately for him, he felt that he needed to protect her due to her looking as though she were in her mid-teens, even though physical appearance doesn't matter in this world. She was still a Captain, and she was still an ally, she needed to be protected.

| Ez-o-wrath?...She mouthed to herself, resigning to calling the man Ezzy. Her mouth twitched with words she probably shouldn't say, instead she just tilted her head up at the man. Kaiyo had been a Captain longer than most Captains of the Gotei 13; managing only a scoffed giggle before he continued with a smile. Did the smile make it all better? Sort of. She brushed off his comment and stepped by his side as he explained their problem. Kaiyo nodded lightly, allowing her hand to drift down to the guard of her Zanpakuto. She was hoping for a lot of hollows; still pumped from her run to get here, adrenaline had already begun to squeeze energy around her body.
The girl glanced up to Ezzy as he moved backwards, she instinctively stepped forwards. Narrowing her eyes with concentration as she paced out a large circle. 'D'ya think they're being drawn by our reiatsu Ezzy?' Still smiling, but a little more serious than she could usually muster. She wasn't sure, but they were being attracted to something around them and if it wasn't them, then something else was about to out-manoeuvre them already. Her eyes flickered around the area, scanning the area around them just as her fellow Captain was doing. Of course, he could probably see a lot further with his added height. Kaiyo considered leaping on to the man's shoulders to get a better look, but thought better of it; for now.
Her foot stalled in the air, hovering inches from the ground as she turned around slowly to the tank of the man warning her not to rush in. Herein lay the issue. Kaiyo was much like a child in the forbidden fruit sense, so in her screw-the-system mindset, she didn't respond well to being told how to react. She could rush in if she wanted to, in fact it would probably get things done a lot faster than doing things his way, just waiting around to be attacking. She wasn't keen on being bate for a herd of unknown hollows.
She whipped around to face the man, unperturbed by the size he held over her. 'Well waiting here like sitting ducks isn't helping, why don't we see if we can move around 'em at least?' She stepped past the man, still sensing the ever-enclosing energies that seemed to be racing towards them. She couldn't see anything. She glanced back to the giant with a playful smirk, 'Unless you're too scared to take on some hollows?'. She spun around his tall frame once more, still encircling him as she moved around. It was odd to say the least, hollows weren't usually this organised were they? She wasn't sure, but she really wasn't feeling comfortable waiting here. Kaiyo was a bring the fight kind of girl so this form of patience didn't bode well with her.

| Ezoroth took note of the fact that the girl took a step forward when he took a step back. She wanted to rush in and possibly get herself killed by whatever it was that was surrounding them. Ezoroth wasn't going to run in just yet, he was going to be slightly patient as the enemies drew near... There was something strange, though. The reiatsu's seemed to be stronger than normal hollows, but that wasn't what worried him, it was the fact that reiatsu kept entering the area, as though new hollow were gathering. He didn't think it was their own reiatsu that was drawing them to the area, though, because he knew of an inhabited rukongai area around here. Maybe they were here to feast? Pack hollows? It was strange, but this amount of hollow could even be a problem for captains at the levels he is reading. Suddenly Kaiyo asked him a question, and he thought about a response for a second.
"No. The settlement." he said pointing to the left. The settlement he was thinking of was large, but a group of hollows this large wouldn't even need ten seconds to destroy it.
"There are about more than five-hundred souls in this city, and it spreads through three districts. He thought about moving forward, but first he needed to think about whether or not these hollow would die from a swing of his sword... Suddenly he saw a large shadow cover over him, and a loud roar.
He looked up to see a large Gillian through the darkened leaves of the trees, and then noted that there were actually more than three. These were being drawn by their reiatsu, that's for sure. They were directly facing them, and they just entered the area. He was about to kill the menos, but suddenly he heard Kaiyo say something that made him stop and face her, the blonde hair not so bright in the shadows.
"Unless you're too scared to take on some hollows?" she said, and his muscles tensed up as his feet crushed the ground. He stared the girl directly in the eyes, and didn't respond until after two seconds.
"Not scared, just a bit smarter." he said as one of the Gillian fired a Cero directly at him. He lifted his zanpakuto and the Cero made impact, he used his reiatsu to stop it, and then deflected it. After that, he walked towards Kaiyo, the ground underneath his feet almost lifting as he released his reiatsu full blast.
"If you want to run in and get yourself killed, then go ahead." he said, and he held his sword ready for if the girl were to strike. She may be faster than him, but from his own position, he could shunpo out of the way of one or two strikes. There was some silence but he could easily hear the wind blowing through the leaves, and the ground quaking under the feet of the menos.
There were so many stronger hollow in the area now that in order to take them all on without one of them dying, they'd have to go Bankai, but currently Ezoroth felt that they hollow weren't a problem, and the fact that he and Kaiyo were arguing was more of a problem. If this kept up, he would be fighting her instead of the hollow. He would keep quiet from now on, though.
