| The town of Karakura was reaching the peak of the day, though it was pretty hard to tell, since the sky was covered in gray clouds as far as the eye reached. There was no sunlight on this day, neither was there any rain, but it looked as if that could change at any moment if the wind shifted slightly. The streets where not busy yet, many people were at work, but in two hours time, the streets would be filled with people shopping groceries, and going about their days. A boy walked the streets, his clothes were unlike those of the people around him, they looked to be from a much older era, and on top of that, they were ragged to no end, with holes, small cuts and what looked to be amateur patchwork all over it. The boy was looking to be in a hurry, he was light on his feet and kept a steady pace, and a vigilant eye at every alley he came across, like he was scared of what he might find around the next corner. Just as he was suspecting, around the next corner a creature with a black body and a white mask stood on the prowl searching for some easy prey. The boy reacted quickly, he did not want to face it head to head. The boy turned tail and ran down one of the alleys opposite the hollow, he planned on losing it in the alleys by turning corners and hiding. The creature followed him on four legs, while it was fast, it could still only just barely keep up with the boy. After a small chase, the creature ended up looking down an empty alley with the boy nowhere in sight.
The smell was awful, , but the dumpster made for a good hiding place, the stench covered his own scent, so the creature would not be able to sniff him out, and if the creature should try and look into the dumpster, he would be able to attack the creature from his hiding place before making his escape once more, or if he was up for it, fight back. For now he was just sitting still, waiting for the footsteps to go away.

| Delicious energy had been roaming in the air, something he had been yearning to taste for a very long time, hasty footsteps could be heard not too far from the hollow who had been oblivious to the fact that a bount was on his steps, nobody could feel the bounts approach. Suddenly the hollow ran off as if it had spotted its next meal running off at a decent speed.
Giving off a sigh Xar followed through the alleys at a decent speed, his neck bell ringing softly to a careful ear. Soon after he could see a hollow in a damp alley, sniffing out what seemed to be a spirit, hidden in a dumpster. Gradually the heat in the area increased and the golden bell on the neck of Xar started to detach itself from the necklace, falling to the ground in a splat of gold.
At an increased speed the little splat of gold increased to a puddle and slowly became a form that looked like a humanoid. More and more did the heat in the area raise and raise, soon after half the puppet was formed the hollow turned and faced the source of the increased heat, it roared in anger and charged towards the puppet.
Fist came and slammed together, suddenly the puppet had fully formed in an instant and it had blocked the rampaging hollow. Cries of hate swiftly turned to cries of pain as the hollow tried to break away from the puppet made of molten gold.
The fists of the puppet didn't want to let go but the body of the puppet seemed to liquefy and close the gap between the beast and the puppet. The hollow kept trying to leave but the hands of the puppet had hardened its hands over the hollows. Gold could easily be heard bending and the hollow screamed as gold started to paint itself on its mask.
''Don't kill it now Cinter..''
Was what Xar said out loud to the puppet in a very calm manner as if this was normal to him. The humanoid puppet turned its head towards its master as if to understand, and at the moment the hollow broke free from its grasp, breaking the gold that had burnt, and been restraining him for the past moment. A part of the hollows mask was covered in gold as it tried to retreat in the alley in front of the dumpster that the spirit was hiding in.
''It's your fault! You made me lose focus!''
A sigh escaped Xar's mouth as the puppet seemed to rage at him.
''Don't get worked up, I know you enjoy a challenge.''
A laugh escaped the puppet as it charged one again against the hollow, it knew what it was facing this time.

| Something was going on outside, he could not see what was going on from his hiding place, but from what he could hear, something was attacking the hollow, it was probably another hollow out to get its prey, it would not be the first time hollows was fighting over a meal. In situations like that he had been able to sneak away, or take down the hollow as it was hurt. He gathered some courage before taking a sneak peak up from the dumpster, and what he saw surprised him, it was not hollow against hollow, the hollow was fighting something else, something weird. It was unlike anything he had ever seen, and something told him that the best idea was to run, cause whatever that thing was, it looked as friendly as any hollow. Waiting just a short while for the fighting to get farther from the dumpster Zanshin decided to take his chances out in the open again, he pushed up the lid of the dumpster slowly and crawled out. The hollow was however rather quick at picking up on it, and it was now unsure if it should go for a meal or take down its opponent and feast on it instead. Zanshin quickly decided that it was about time to get the hell out of there before he caught in the middle of the two beasts. Zanshin set off in the opposite direction of the two, he was not going to get anywhere near either of them, if they got too close, he was going to attack them, he was not going down without a fight, should they get close. | |
