Soul Reaper TemplateName: Aoi Mizutoko
Age: 29 years old, looks to be about the same
Gender: Male
Race: Asian
Birthplace: Soul Society, Rukon Districts
Occupation: N/A
Height: 5’2”
Weight: 112 Lbs.
Appearance: Aoi has neck-length grey hair that floats gently around his face, sometimes obscuring it as well. His eyes are a grey colour, and his chin is usually covered in stubble. He is physically fit, although short, and is missing some of his body parts due to some accidents sustained over the years. His toes are all missing, replaced instead with an apparatus that makes his feet look normal and restores some of his lost balance, though is also made of wood and leather. His small finger on his right hand is missing, replaced by a wooden one that is also strapped to the finger next to it. His entire left arm is missing as well, though it has been replaced with a shoddy wooden replacement.
At the moment, he wears the typical Shino Academy student’s uniform, although when not in classes, he tends to wear a blue silk kimono with patterning of a single rain maiden dancing across the whole of it. He also keeps a blue silk obi on his appearance at all times, to which is zanpakto is often kept. He tends to keep an open packet of cigarettes in the left of his clothes, and a lighter inside with them.
- Spoiler:
Just use the face for reference please.
And just the men’s uniform from this.
Personality: Aoi is, perhaps aptly named and also unlike his name at the same time. He is calm, reserved and collected, patient and kind, he is polite to everyone, regardless of his or their dispositions. He strives to remain calm and collected, and it one would have to strive to move heaven and earth to anger him. He has never shown to be sad or angry, though he has expressed the idea that he can be sad. He enjoys helping out others, and is often very charitable, even so far as give money to the needy and candy to children. But there are three occasions where his calm and collected appearance change.
The first is a good fight, the second is an important occasion, and the third is when something is a success. He can be as giddy as a school-girl or as patient as a monk. Sometimes, when things get stressful for him though, he’ll light up a smoke and puff away for a good while. Smoking, and drumming his fingers are pretty good signs that he is stressed out, or otherwise irked or impatient. If you hear him whistle though, you'll likely get a kind surprise.
He is also quite over-interested in keeping his appearance clean, and goes to great lengths to do so. He uses special cleaners to keep his skin and teeth free from the stains of his cigarettes, and has even changed over to a different brand that no longer requires him to actually light them. He just pops one out and sucks on it, which is useful since they are also waterproof as well. He smells like Vanilla and Strawberries from his shampoos and body washes. He enjoys using women’s cleaning products more than those for men.
Special Characteristics: Left arm is missing. Small finger on left hand is missing. What? They’re special characteristics, I don’t see any other people missing limbs around here! Missing toes too. Oh, and for another special characteristic, he’s unnaturally easygoing and kind.

Sealed Zanpakto: His zanpakto is a rather plain design, featuring a sixteen inch grip with a twenty-four inch straight blade. The blade is dull, and cuts poorly, while the grip is made of bamboo planks wrapped in blue taffeta. There is no crossguard or pommel to the weapon, while it is instead capped at both ends of the grip with a simple small band of steel. The katana’s saya is also made of two bamboo planks wrapped in blue taffeta, but is banded five times along its length and at both ends with small bands of steel.
History: Aoi was born in one of the northern districts of the rukongai, in a part that was neither too rich, nor impoverished. As a young child, he spent many of his days playing with other children in the districts, sometimes getting into trouble, sometimes not. He was young and foolish, and enjoyed playing jokes and pranks, often without any real harm done towards others. As he grew up, his attitude began to form, turning him into a kind and helpful young man. From his family, and the rest of his adopted extended family, he learned many ways of kindness. Though growing up and into a young man, one of his greater flaws began to show itself; Aoi was a bit of a klutz.
His first accident occurred when he was sixteen, when he was crushed by falling crates while moving products in the back of a shop. While he was fine for the most part, his small finger on his right hand was pinched and broken off. His next accident came only a year later, when he was run over by a wagon, though he sustained no more lost limbs, he was concussed, but seemed to come out of it fairly well. His toes were lost to a pinch of tomfoolery, when he was organizing a show for children and residents of the Rukongai, and with an elegant swipe of his sword in the display, lopped off the front of both feet.
All of these accidents, and many of the harsh events of his life he took rather well. Though without half of his feet, he found himself unable to walk, and was briefly chair-bound until one of the local craftsmen, who had known him for quite some years of his life, created leather socks with wooden feet to help him to walk again. This took another two years of therapy to allow him to successfully walk once again, but in the end, he was back to his usual self. The loss of his arm was on purpose however, as the father of a friend had been in a terrible fight with thugs from another district, and had come away alive, but without his one arm. Knowing his friend’s father needed his hands to work, he volunteered himself to give up his own arm for his father’s friend. And even though the surgery didn’t work, and both men were left sans an arm, he had no complaints, and bore the lack of limb proudly. And as a token of appreciation for his kindness, once again, the craftsman made an arm for the both of them.
When he turned 21, he approached the Seireitei with the hopes to become a Soul Reaper. Though he did not succeed in his request for the first two years, his perseverance eventually paid off into him being granted access and allowing for him to enter into the academy. When someone asked him as to his motivations for wanting to become a Soul Reaper, he replied in that it was the fact that Shinigami were symbols of respect, authority, and duty that he honoured their courage to act and do what they did, and that he wanted to be like them as well. And in his six years at the academy, he has been a decent student, neither the worst, nor the best, and showing no particular choice or preference for any squad or field of combat.
