Rei Inazuma ~ Kido Training (Solo)

A while has passed since Rei first was accepted into the academy, for once in her life she felt like she was walking down the right path. Today her class had a practical assessment in kido abilities. Rei could tell that some of the students were nervous, and that others seemed pretty confident. Rei on the other hand was pretty good at Kido, her best Kido ability being Byakurai.

One by one student's were being called up. Rei was keeping close attention to everyone's attempts. Then from the instructor they hear her call, "Dawnstone, Dominic." Rei noticed All the students that were kind of close to the practice area move back a good 10 feet. Dominic was known for his kido attempts to get a little out of hand and not go in the direction he intends to. Dominic's kido as always went out of control and flew towards the instructor. "Thank you Dominic, You may step back now." The Teacher says calm and collectively, as if she expected that to happen. Rei overhears one classmate say to her friend "They should really cut him from kido training." Rei ignores the girl, and continues focusing on the class.

A few minutes have passed, and Rei knows she will be called any minute. "It's almost time." She thinks to herself. Rei was confident, but she was starting to feel a slight bit nervous as well. She was never any good with having the spotlight on her. There is 1 kido that Rei has always struggled with and that was fireball. "Inazuma, Rei." Her instructor calls, this was it, her turn. "Yes, coming!" She replies.

Rei stands up and walks toward the instructor. While walking all Rei can think is "please not fireball, anything but that." She makes it up to the instructor. "Alright, now I want you to cast Hado #4." Rei notices that the instructor was also testing her intellect by saying Hado #4 instead of it's name. She breathes a sigh of relief and turns to face the target board. Rei can feel all the students eyes fixed upon her, and it was starting to make her a little unnerved. "Alright Rei just block everything out and focus on the target." She thinks to herself. She stands there for a minute pacing her breathing, then she begins.

Rei points her finger at the direct center of the circle painted on the target board. Rei starts channeling her spirit pressure, she's always loved the feeling of Riatsu coursing through her body. "Byakurai!" Rei calls. A concentrated bolt of lightning shoots from her finger hitting the center of the board. With a sense of relief, Rei turns around to see the students looking at her with respect and admiration.

" That is all for today!" The instructor states. "I will asses what I have witnessed today, and you should all got your grade in the next couple of days." Rei grabbed her stuff and started heading to exit the field, putting in her headphones and turning on her music while shes walking. "That went over really well in my opinion." Rei thinks to herself. On her way home, Rei sits on a bench under a tree. She starts rummaging through her purse. "where is it?" She says to herself. after a minute or 2 of digging through her purse she finds what she's looking for. "Ahh, there it is!" Rei pulls out a tiny bottle of white nail polish and starts painting her nails. Rei's accomplishment today made her really happy. It seems like her hard work and determination are finally paying off. After painting her nails and allowing them to dry, Rei decides to go home and figure out what events are coming up in the days to come.
