A Trip to the City (Arcana)

"Hurry up!" Shakaku jumped down from the portal that was opened up from the Soul Society into the human world and landed on the top of a large building. It was a beautiful day, a great day in fact for Yuko's first trip to the Human world. The sun was shining and it warmed her skin as it shone on her. There was a slight breeze in the air that was so calming, she felt as if she could curl up like her fat cat back at home and take a nap. She shook the sleep from her brain and looked over the edge of the building. All the people below looked like busy ants, chattering on cell phones ad with friends as they shopped and dined within the city of Karakura Town. Everyone was bustling about, carrying large bags. Some wore shorts and some wore business attire. Some looked as if they had just returned from the beach.

Yuko was still wondering why he was formally sent to earth as an academy student, it rarely if ever happened. But he was happy it was with Shakaku, he hadn’t seen her sense she graduated and lit up when he seen her back at the academy in her black shinigami robes, officially squad 1 member now. Their trip through the Senkaimon was oddly silent though, with small HellButterfly’s hovering over their shoulders until he reached the other side.

Soon after Shakaku, Yuko hoped from the gate next to her, his sleeve tails dancing in the breeze behind him. He wondered why they were here, and why the sent a student with a newly graduated squad 1 member he conveniently was good friends with. But he brushed it off as it became overpowered by his interest in human world and there endless scientific wonder.

“Well where here!” he said cheerfully looking up at the clear crisp blue sky and the people below them. And eventually down at the two gigai’s laid next to one another in front of them. He had never been in a gigai before and fond there whole invention very useful so decided to hop into his without hesitation. The bonding proses was very odd at first but in no time he was opening his eyes now fully connected to the body. Standing up he twitted his fingers looking at shakaku with a grin, “this is interesting”. His Giai was in black skinny jeans and a long sleeved black and white striped shirt, with black wool gloves with the fingers cut off, topped off with bright blue shoowes and a small multicolored backpack. (All very Shade/Emo like). He chuckled, “ so what’s the plane? Why are we here?”

Min Kyung traveled through the forest, enjoying the cool breeze and the warm sun as he sprinted and jumped from branch to branch. He reached the edge of the town and wasn't hungry, having already fed on some humans already. He saw a white wolf body, a corpse, that didn't seem to have any physical damage. He jumped down, realizing that it was a gigai, that a hollow could use. He climbed inside the body, and taking a few moments, got used to the body. He jumped around and sprinted, testing it's limits. It was a small body, perhaps a young wolf that died from disease. Regardless he left for the city.

Gigai Body:

He walked through the streets, keeping to himself until smelling the sweet aroma of steak being grilled. He walked into the steak shop and sat on his butt, wagging his tail and sticking out his tongue. He was begging for food like typical house pets do, and to his surprise, it worked. The jolly fat chef laughed as he slammed his butcher knife down into the raw meet, and tossed a thick chunk of the steak to Min Kyung. He barked a happy bark and happily caught the meat in his mouth, taking it with him as he left the shop. He took the meat with him into an alley, where he enjoyed the juicy tender meat. He ripped into it, spilling it's juices everywhere. He really enjoyed this kind of treat, surprised just how good it tasted. It tasted better than human souls, however had no nutritional value to his body. Purely a treat to satisfy his taste buds.

Min Kyung, having finished the meat, left the alley and continued down the street. He found a few kids, wearing shorts and small shirts playing soccer. Min Kyung, having the animalistic qualities, couldn't help but to satisfy his inquiry that this ball presented him. He ran up to it and grabbed it in his jaws. He ran away from the other kids chasing him, running in between their feet. He barked and let go of the ball wagging his tail. The kids pet him and then shooed him away. He made his way to the sector of the town that presented the tall buildings.

He walked through the streets, finally stopping in front of a large building. He could feel two relatively weak reiatsus in the distance. He concentrated a moment, and then looked up, seeing the shinigami and the student. He thought about eating them, but then shook the thought off, they meant no harm to him, being that they were not harming his forest. He sat at the base of the building, barking up at them, wagging his tail, inviting them down to come play.

Shakaku smiled, satisfied with Yuko's expression of interest in their journey to the Human World. She chose a City just outside of Karakura town since she had just been there on her last mission. What she didn't tell Yuko was that this trip she was visiting her home city, the town she was born and raised in. She sighed sadly, she had missed this place.
Nothing had changed since the last time she had seen it. A lot of the shops she remembered from her past were still open and fully functioning. There was the owner of the book shop with her kind smile and quirky ways. There was the fish market where people never really payed attention to you unless you asked for something. There was the old man that worked at the barber shop that was always rude to her everytime she had to pass by to get to school. She smiled when she realized that there was a now younger, much kinder looking man working there now.
Shakaku was shaken from her reminiscent thoughts at Yuko's question. "Oh. We're going to be scouting the area and make sure that no spirits are stuck here or there aren't any hollows wandering about. Even to make sure that all the humans are still in check. Last time I was here I saw a woman getting robbed! I put that man in his place, yes sir I did," she grumbled as she thought about that creepy old man that was trying to harm that poor woman. Humans nowadays, she thought and shook her head.
To Shakaku's surprise, she heard the sounds of distant barking. She tilted her head and strained her ears to pinpoint where the sound of the barking was coming from. Looking down, she noticed a white dog that was barking up at them, wagging it's tail and jumping up on it's back paws trying to get to her and Yuko. She smiled. "Aww! Look! It's a puppy! That's odd... we just changed into gigai and that barking was there before..." Could this dog see them before they changed? She scoffed. "Impossible." It was just a coincidence. Nevertheless, she wanted to make sure. "Come on. Let's see what this little one wants," she motioned for Yuko to follow her as she jumped down from the building on top of a shorter one before landing on the ground before anyone could notice a strange girl and boy jumping off of rooftops.

Yuko was very perspective, gazing around the town. It all seemed very odd to him, but he was excited he would be able to observe hollows and possibly see a human’s soul. Though he still fond it odd that they sent a student on this mission, it was all very odd to him. But this would be the perfect opportunity for him to gain some hands on research before even becoming a member of squad 12.
He jumped after Shakaku landing gently on the asphalt, looking at the people pass bye him looking at his odd clothes and style. “So, what’s the name of this place?” he questioned her, looking from the barking dog to the happy shop owner. Everything seemed so peaceful; it looked like a very nice place to grow up to Yuko when compared to his childhood. He eventually sighed deeply putting his hands in his black skinny jeans pockets reveling his bright blue belt, “so now where too?”

Min Kyung wagged his tail happily and rubbed his skull against the woman's legs. They approached the forest as he saw a group of 3 hunters preparing to enter the forest. Rage coursed through Min Kyung's body. He sprinted off into the forest, barking at the hunters. Once deep into the woods, he turned around, inspecting his surroundings. Once satisfied that there were no witnesses, Min Kyung abandoned his gigai, feeling strong as his legs were able to stretch and he was back to his body. He sprinted back to the edge, hiding in the shadows once close to the men. He watched the three, inspecting their every move. He pounced towards the forward one, turning his head and using his Deafening Bark ability, knocking down the other two, disorienting them. He seeped his fangs into the man he pounced on, paralyzing him. He looked up at the other two, who were attempting to run away. Min Kyung realized that he could only choose one, so he took the closest one, pouncing on him. As he landed on the man, he swiped his razor sharp claws into the man's head, knocking him unconscious. He dragged the second one back to the first, and began feeding on them. He ripped into their bodies, killing them withing seconds.

He looked up, stopping the feeding, when he realized the shocked look on the young woman's face. He walked slowly towards them. "I mean no harm to those who mean no hostility towards me or my territory. If you can accept this, then we will have no problems. If not, then i suppose we have no other choice than to battle." Min Kyung growled, showing his sharp teeth. An intimidation method he learned while inspecting how the wolves of this forest reacted when faced with battle. He looked upon the two, ready for anything, awaiting their next moves.

Shakaku stood, still as she could, in utter shock. "Stay close," she whispered to Yuko as the puppy, which was then a hollow, was ripping hunters to shreds. She would have stepped in but he was so fast, it was already too late for her to do anything. She shivered at the though of those teeth tearing through her flesh or, even worse, Yuko's. If something happened to him on her watch she would never be able to forgive herself. When the hollow wolf turned to face her, his muzzle soaked in blood and spoke his warning, she listened calmly and kept her posture nonthreatening. If this hollow was in any way like normal wolves in a pack then dominance was the only way to get out of this situation safely. She would get Yuko to a safe spot and take care of this hollow herself.
"We mean no harm," she replied calmly, lowering her head and nudging Yuko to do so also. Hopefully, he got the message. "We are just regular humans taking a stroll through the woods and into the city." She knew he would be able to smell the hollow on her but something told her he wasn't going to attack unless he felt threatened. "We'll just be on our way." She took Yuko's arm firmly and steered him back towards the buildings where they would be withing the bustle of the city. "You find someplace safe and stay there. I'll take care of the hollow." She prepared herself for his retorts.

Yuko wasn’t shocked to see the small dog pop from what looked like a Gigai and killed some harmless hunters, but he found the hollow all together invigoratingly interesting. His more sadistic side forest him to grin lightly, holding his index finger to his lip in curiosity. “what an odd specimen” he whispered calmly under his breath, wondering what exactly type of poison it used in its large fangs to paralyze its pray. Its eyes grew with his determent inspiration when the white wolf Hollow drew closer to them and began to speak in a calm tone. How very interesting! A hollow with such unique skills and the capabilities of speech, he though not paying attention to Shakaku’s growing fear that in his excited state cud not sense.

Suddenly the intensity of the current situation dawned on Yuko all at ones when Shakaku grabbed his arm. This hollow was seemingly skills, and Yuko was just a student, Shakaku barley even a squad member. How where they going to get out of this situation? But before he cud tern to her, or attempt to leave him Gigai she began to speak to the hollow calmly so he deseeded to let her. He cud not held but cringe in her speech, the hollow was in that dog body and hade watched them jump from the rooftop, maybe even before they had entered these Gigai body’s, besides all that the two of them cud clearly see the hollow; all of that was proof enough that they were infact not humans. Yuko tensed and feared they would end in combat with this ruthless beast, but before he cud do anything Shakaku began pulling him along with her down the outer forest path, whispering that he had to take refuge as she fought the hollow bye herself. “Are you nuts? I’m not going to let your fight that thing alone” he whispered with a keen sense of curiosity growing ones more as he turned to look back at the interesting blood covered wolf hollow.

Min Kyung growled at the two foolish shinigami who stood a good distance away from his forest. "You will do good to listen to the girl! Foolish little shinigami!" Min Kyung barked out as he jumped from the tree branch, landing softly in the grass. He advanced towards the two shinigami, feeling their relatively weak spiritual pressures. It would be a difficult task to take these two down, but a task that he would have to complete if he wished to survive and keep his forest free from these creatures that loved to taint his land. He whipped his tail around in the air, cracking it against the wind like a whip being cracked on the air. He slowly advanced closer to them, and stopped when he was in attacking range. Knowing well that the small boy wasn't as effective in battle as the girl, he pounced towards the two, placing his paws on the boy, pushing him backwards, as he whipped his tail towards the girl in attempt to either secure her with his tail, or cut her with the speared tip.
