Hollow Brawl (Anashi)

The ravenous hollow reluctantly pushed itself off the ground, it realized that all of it's attacks had missed. However the creature persisted, charging back into the fray without another thought. She saw the mans left arm whip through the air, aimed towards her face. Anashi kept her charge steady until the last moment, the mans hand just mere inches away from her head. Just before direct contact the hollow ducked, the mans fist chipping off just a small fragment of the girls mask, it was nothing to be proud about however. The preys movements were slow and sluggish now, his current speed was ony due to his determination to win. It was true the hollow itself was quite spent by now, but not enough to affect her movements, at least not significantly.

The preys arm was extended now, this time she wouldn't let him escape. Anashi leaned forward and stood back up, the two were very close now, only about an inch away. Anashi suspected that she would be too close for the man to assault her now. The hollow tried to step on the mans left foot with her own in an attempt to stop him from evading. Her right hand tightened as she prepared to punch the man, she tried to thrust her right arm into the mans lower torso. She kept her claws extended, the force of the punch itself would be enough to pierce his flesh, and cause internal damage.

Willpower began to expand inside of his soul. Auryuu's eyes seemingly lit up as he shot his fist into the hollow. The hollow ducked, allowing Auryuu's arm to knock off a piece of her mask. It chipped off into the air, but he didn't care about that. He was calm even though he let the hollow get the impression she had the upperhand. Auryuu gripped his zanpaktou, but realeased it now sending his right hand a the hollow at the hollow with a strong forced uppercut. The hollows foot came over his foot, but he slid it out, and tried to situate it over hers an a attempt to trap her in a corner.

Auryuu's left hand lay limp, but soon curled up in a attempt to catch the hollows claws, which where aimed at such an obvious spot. Auryuu also managed to look at the hollows chest, probably the most vulnerable spot. A split second reacion came as he acted upon it, setting up a high right knee to the hollows chest, it was a stretch but hopefully the attack would hit.

Auryuu's zanpaktou seemed to growl, as he decided not to release it or even use it on the hollow. She was so close Auryuu could feel her breath on his face as they were locked in deadly close quarter combat.

Anashi glanced at the mans still sheathed sword, it was disorienting to see the man fight without a weapon, she didn't know what to make of this, whether he was simply underestimating her or he wasn't skilled in the use of swords. It didn't matter to Anashi, it just meant she had another advantage. Anashi saw through the preys attempt at an uppercut with ease she simply leaned back, avoiding the uppercut. She could feel the wind hit her face as the fist passed by her, reminding her that the fight was still in it's prime.Such strength.. She leaned forward again when it was safe to do so.

She shifted her foot slightly to the left to avoid the mans trap, she was surprised to see the man escape her hold so easily even after all of his injuries. The opponents left hand managed to make contact with her right, but the velocity it was traveling alone made it all but impossible for the prey to latch on a firm hold, her hand continued to travel, and if given anymore time, it was pierce the prey. Her small victories were short lived as she felt a pain in her chest once more, she glanced down to see the mans knee lodged in her breast plate, now most of the plate fell to the ground, only bits and pieces remained, exposing the much thinner mettalic armor beneath.

How did he.. She was dumbfounded, to think that the man managed to sneakily land a hit without her seeing it, it was unimaginable. She felt hatred for the prey grow inside her, before the man could inflict anymore damage the hollow aimed a hasty grapple at the mans thigh with her left hand. It was unlikely for the man to evade this move, given the circumstances. If she suceeded she would sink her claws deeply into his flesh, and then with all her strength she would move forward. At the current moment the man was standing on one leg, which meant he was much less balanced than normal. She raised her left leg as she pushed the man forward, she aimed a powerful kick at the mans left ankle, trying to knock down his last support.

Exhaustion, was all he felt by now. It washed over him overwhelming him, till all he could feel as he planted his left foot down was the hollows deeply cutting claws reaching into his skin. His energy was gone and so was his will to fight, to continue, and to even keep his eyes closed. They began to feel heavy as his eyes lids opened up and closed. The hollow easily pushed him to the ground as he pointlessly struggled pushing his body forward.

A loud slam echoed through the forest, as his back lay flattened on the cold ground. his head turned around for a second as he drifted in and out of consiousness. All he saw was nature, as his breaths died down even more. He ignored the ankle kick even though it happened. He didn't feel the pain, he stopped feeling it as it washed over him. The defeat, he was going to die. "Snap out of it". A voice echoed as Auryuu awoken unscathed in a black room. Pitch black, resided, as a small animal like form grew. It came closer as it now revealed itself to be a lion, shining a bright shade of gold.

The lion licked his face as he rose his head, slowly getting up, not suprised anymore as he convinced himself, he was dead, and maybe the lion died with him, because of the connection shinigami shared with their zanpaktou. Auryuu looked to the black door, and reached for the knob as it opened revealing a snowy vortex once more. The violent snow, spun around the room, covering everything as he gazed up once more at the eye of the vortex, which was a bright white moon. He looked to the spirit standing with his back turned to Auryuu. "You disapoint me", he said in a stern voice. Suddenly the man rotated on his legs spinning around to Auryuu. His hands lit up as all Auryuu saw was a yellow light.

Yellow eventually turned to bright white, as everything evened out to clearer surrondings in the forest. Auryuu coughed, as a little blood exited the orifice of his mouth. All he could taste was the bitter iron as he reacted with impulse, trying to shove the hollow off of him. Feeling his back's pain as he struggled.

The prey fell over with a satisfying thump, seemingly giving in to exhaustion. The hollow took advantage of the opportunity and pounced onto the man, clawing ravenously at his throat and face. The man struggled to keep her at bay, and for the most part it was working. Even in her injured state she would eventually wear the man down until he gave up. It was only a matter of time. The life and death struggle continued ferociously, each side fighting with every last bit of their strength, the fight was occasionally interuppted by the sound of hollows screeching in the area, as if they could sense the massive amounts of spirit power being released.

Just as the hollow was convinced she had won, the man shoved her with terrifying strength, she tumbled to the side, standing up slowly as she tried to figure out what happened. She felt her body stumble abit before she stood, this was bad, the fight had attracted numerous hollow in the area, and at the moment she wasn't fit to battle more than one opponent. She made clear to herself that she needed to finish the prey off before any other opponents would arrive.

The hollow sprinted forward, gathering a sufficient amount of momentum before she jumped into the air. She rotated her back left, causing her to spin counter-clockwise. At the second she faced towards the prey she would extend her left leg and swing it right towards the mans face. Adding in the factors of her velocity, inertia, and momentum, her kick would've been devastating, even if the man tried to block it he would most certainly be damaged in the process. It also helped that it would be hard to launch a counter attack considering the speed she was moving at.

Auryuu's arms managed to toss her off. He felt a growing pain, as he immediately rose his battle tired arms to his neck, staining them with blood, as he realized there were moderate to shallow cuts on his throat, a fatal spot with any being sharing the same anatomy as a human. His eyes now say clearer, as he assessed the situation with a growing feeling of nervousness.

Auryuu's back jolted upwards like a trampoline spring. His eyes caught the hollow getting up as it launched upwards with a speedy velocity like a rapid missile. Auryuu picked himself up with an unorthodox roll, and soon recovered, as he realized the cries of hollows in the forest, plus the actual imagery of some of them. He heard a loud thump, as the ground broke by him. The hollows indentation of her feet was carved into the ground. Auryuu hypothesized the hollow would have to be facing tremoundous leg strain, if it was to jump that high and with that much force.

He quickly took a messy stance, as he began to run again. His back faced a sharp pain as he began to run over to the edge of the forest. A deep stream lay underneath the edge. The water ripped and twisted as it collided with the water and the edges of the stream. Auryuu was nervous, his legs now clinging to the edge. A voice told him not to, but instincts were talking otherwise. He coiled his legs as he got ready for a large jump, facing the fear of the impact, with his mind.

Anashi felt her foot slam into the bark of a tree, causing a huge gash to appear among the brown wood. She landed on both of her feet firmly, causing the ground to crack a little. She whipped her body around to face the prey, trying what she did was a long shot at best, and she was glad it hadn't turned out disasterous. The injured man began to flee, to this the hollow was amused, in reality the man would never be able to outrun the hollow, at least in his condition.

Nevertheless she followed, running as fast as she could in order to intercept the man. Her chase was brought to an end when the man stopped at a large cliff edge. Anashi now moved carefully forward, still unaware of the dangers below. It was quite a sight to see the man jump from the cliff, into the river below. Immediatly the hollow hurried over to the edge of the cliff, only now did she realize how tall and dangerous the jump was. A few other less powerful hollows passed Anashi, jumping into the waters in pursuit of the man.

It was clear to Anashi that she had lost the preys trail, the competition just wasn't worth the effort, the prey himself was determined to say the least, and would seemingly stop at nothing to escape Anashi. She turned around and started walking towards town, grumbling at the failed hunt. Despite her obvious victory in the battle, it was a loss as far as the hunt was concerned. She had lost a measurable amount of energy in the battle, and reclaiming it would prove to be both tedious and difficult. Nevertheless she traveled back to town to mend her wounds.

The air cold. His wounds felt the draft of the windchill below, as he pierced through the layers of nothingness leading to the eventual stream below. The cries of the hollows reached his ears, as he soon let go of the event that just happened. All he could think of was the fall, as the went ripped by his ears, sensing his owns bodies velocity. Soon enough the water was the only thing he heard for a split second, quickly hitting it, and being turned horizontal by the powerful current. His eyes now dark, as his eyelids closed on him, protecting him from the cool water. He velt his body wind and turn soon, as he flipped over forcefully to gasp for oxygen, which his body had now seen as a neccessity.

*A couple gasps and a few more winds and turns later*

Wet ripped garments accompanied by human skin now laid motionless on the side of the stream. His eyes opened sluggishly as he noticed his stoping body. He saw the same styled surrondings a thick forest, but a hotter sun now, as it evaporated the water that had soaken into his now damp clothes. His back hurt, as he tried to get up from the rocks, but couldn't because of the pain the hollow had caused by slamming him onto the ground. His mouth tasted of blood still, but didnt actually hold any of the actual blood in it. He rubbed his lips with his arm, with his distaste of the whole situation. His body lay wrecked and showed signs of obvious injury. He picked himself up, with his legs mostly, but suffered from standing soon after. Auryuu limped towards the forest as he searched for a way out, or a place suitable to rest at.
