Outnumbered (Bishamon)

It didn't seem as though the hollow was going to come closer, without at least knowing what the powers of his shikai could do, he let out a sigh, it would appear as though he would have to bring the fight to the hollow, he was about to charge, and then saw some strange substance come from the hollow's mouth, it came at him quite fast, but Bishamon was about to slice through it, but then dodged to the side at the last second, he remembered Taro's encounter with this substance, it seemed to be slime, sticky, and presumably hard to slice through, so he didn't, and rolled to the left of the attack, and then ran towards the hollow, if he were to just stand there, more of that slime would launched at him, and he didn't fancy his chances dodging that for long, as he ran towards Stratus, he needed to try and lure him into a false sense of security, he wouldn't show the power of Miwatasu Kyoudai yet, he would wait for that, as he approached the hollow, he began to feel his movements slowing down, not a lot, but he could feel it, he was getting tired, regardless, he didn't think about that, with his right blade, he raised it up, and swung it down as he got closer, whilst also doing the opposite with the left; swinging it from the ground upwards, to the sky.

Whatever power it granted him, at least it wasn't something he could use at range. As thankful as the gray hollow was to learn, it did him little good. It was still an unknown element in this fight. Although the man's weapons had changed his range was only slightly longer. Stratus still had the greater reach with his staff/spear. He twisted his hand and sent the lance to intercept the first strike. The two weapons met and bounce away. But catching the second was too difficult. With only one arm it was impossible to reposition the weapon to block the second blade's ascent. Instead he tried to dodge. The zanpukto came slashing up bisecting the cut across his chest. Stratus retreated further as the bleeding started anew. He grunted in pain, his right arm still useless for the fight. Combating two weapons with one wasn't favorable even he knew that. Still he wasn't about to run with his tail between his legs. He looked to the side once more at the two struggling shinigami. A grin grew across his face. Slowly he released slime from his chest and hardened it. A thin green shell now protected and sealed the cuts on his chest.

"I admit you got skill kid, but you're a long way from topping me." he snickered. "But since you put up a good fight, and for that you pass. So, I think I'll let you live. Unfortunately, your buddies fail." To punctuate his statement he pulled back the spear and threw. The weapon flew like a bullet with all his strength behind it. In less than a second it hit it's target Katso eyes widened as the green lance impaled him straight through his abdomen. The emerald bolt hit with so much force pushed him backwards and nailed him to the ground. The stunned eyes widened as they now noted the weapon sticking out of him. It had happened so fast he didn't realize he was hit. Upon seeing the damage his wound started to bleed and he coughed up blood. "That loos serious. He might want to get that looked at." Stratus laughed, already gathering slime in his hand. It became crystal, but it was glowing. "But this will do alot more damage."

Bishamon knew what was coming when the hollow, told him the other two failed, "No, wait!" unfortunately, he was right; the hollow through the spear, straight at Katsuo, the weapon was thrown at an unimaginal speed, Bishamon couldn't even keep track, as Katsuo was attacked by the spear, Bishamon flinched and turned away, he wasn't friends with the man, he didn't even like him, but he didn't deserve that, and he also felt responsible, this might not of happened if Bishamon didn't let the man fight on his own, but it couldn't be helped, Katsuo appeared to be dead, but Bishamon couldn't be sure, he would have to get to him, as fast as he can, and take him back to the soul society, but the hollow wasn't going to just let him do that, and now, the hollow was forming a new weapon, and it was glowing, and the hollow was bragging about it, was it a bluff? Regardless, he couldn't take that chance, should he attack? If the that weapon did turn out to be as powerful as the hollow stated, would it be a good idea, getting close to it, so many questions, and possible answers, and he was going to let Bishamon live, but kill his comrades, he couldn't expect Bishamon to just stand there and watch, but attacking would be stupid, "what are you planning to do with that?"

"With this?" Stratus said innocently and then threw it in the opposite direction. The orb sailed through the air and then hit the ground. When it impacted with the ground it burst into a ball of flame. There was a whistling sound as razor sharp shards were cast in every direction. The fire wasn't the only thing the explosion created. The sudden blast created quite abit of smoke. As the cloud washed over them Stratus jumped away into the side alley. Rather than take the opportunity to attack, he rather use it to retreat. He fired a burst of slime in the narrow alley's entrance. If the man tried to follow it would slow him down at least. Dropping his weapons he swiftly scaled the walls and climbed on top of the roof. Once there he suppressed his signal and ran along the clustered buildings. After the initial dash he jumped down from the roof into the streets. Through another alley and he broke a door and entered into what looked like an abandoned building. It wasn't pretty, but it would be a decent place to rest. He looked down at the burnt arm. When the coast was clear he'd look for souls to feed on. That would speed up the process.

As the hollow threw the glowing orb, Bishamon crossed his blades, trying to block the impact of the explosion, the force of it was indeed strong, enough to push him back, and then the area was covered by smoke, produced from the orb, where is he? This wasn't good, the hollow could attack from anywhere, Bishamon stayed perfectly still, but as the smoke cleared, he couldn't sense or see the hollow, he then saw some of that slime, that the hollow produced, he escaped, Bishamon probably should of at least tried to follow, but the lives of his fellow shinigami's were more important, and besides, he was reaching his limit, so the smart thing would be to leave this lace, and let another squad handle it, he sealed his blades, with a flick of his wrists, sheathed them and made his way over to the body of Katsuo and Taro, it was obvious straight away that Katsuo had already died, he sighed at the sight of his body, Taro was unconscious but alive, the lack of air that he was receiving, due to the slime, is what caused his unconsciousness, but he was able to get enough air to stay alive. Bishamon would have to get him to squad 4 as fast as possible, there was no telling, how long he could last. He picked him up, but he couldn't carry Katsuo as well, with regret he had to leave him for now, but he would return to pick up his body. When Bishamon picked up the man body, he immediately felt the pain from the battle that took place, he groaned in pain, but he had to fight it, and get Taro back to the soul society.
