Nothing could have made Raizen angrier than he was at this moment. Yet, nothing could have made him happier, either. It was confusing, his current emotions; anger, or glee? He couldn't decide, and that's why he hadn't chosen whether to approach the owner of the Reiatsu, or simply allow the being, whatever it was, as he couldn't yet tell, to escape unscathed. Raizen was currently on the outskirts of Tokyo itself. He'd never been this close to such a highly populated area, and so he hadn't known what to expect. He certainly hadn't thought that so many other powerful Hollows, even more powerful than Raizen, wouldn't try and devour him. However, now that he had found something that was as strong as him, not stronger, he wanted so badly to devour whatever, or whoever, it was. He growled and decided he'd see whatever it was before he actually engaged it in battle, and then began to move to intercept it. As he moved closer, it became obvious that it was another Hollow, and as that became obvious, he began to move faster. Finally, he came out about a small overhanging cliff where, down below him, he could see a Hollow. What it looked like, however, completely surprised him.
It's body was a floating orb of purplish Reiatsu, and from the orb-body sprouted blade after blade after blade, all made from Reiatsu, the way that its body was. A single giant, purplish-green eye looked out from a space in the blades. Raizen had never seen a Hollow like this before. As Raizen got closer, he saw that the eye was actually the Hollow's mask, and, seeing this, he began to think of ways he could devour the other creature. Finally, thinking of no better way than to defeat it and kill it, he began charging Reiatsu into both his teeth and his blade-arm. "Rīpingu Kyōda!" he roared as he leapt from the small cliff. He raised his blade above his head, and as he began to get nearer to the other Hollow, he brought it down to crash into the other creature's mask. However, suddenly, the body spun, and three of the body-blades extending from the orb-like Hollow deflected Raizen's blade-arm. Using his tail, Raizen gripped one of the blades and spun the mask back to face him. He roared and then tried to bite down with his Reiatsu-infused teeth upon the edge of the other Hollow's mask. He spun again, however, and since Raizen's tail was wrapped around one of the blades, he spun with it. Finally, unable to hold on any longer, Raizen was flung into the cliff wall. He let out a howl of pain, and then forced himself back to his feet, already charging more Reiatsu into his blade and teeth. He began to examine the situation.
The other Hollow was definitely different, and powerful. It's orb form allowed it easy movement, and it floated, meaning even with Raizen hanging on, it could simply spin until it flung him away. He began to formulate a strategy in his mind, not sure if it would work, but knowing that if he didn't, now that he had openly engaged the other Hollow in combat, it couldn't end well for him. He rushed forward now, having finished planning his strategy. As he ran, he brought his blade-arm back, preparing to use it like a spear. The orb-Hollow spun again, but moving carefully, Raizen latched onto one of the blades jutting from its body. Because they were infused with Reiatsu, he managed to keep the other Hollow from moving. As he held the other Hollow in place, Raizen brought his blade-arm forward and, as it, too, was infused with Reiatsu, it broke two of the body-blades and then impaled the main orb. The other Hollow roared, and then the blades in its body suddenly began to grow. Raizen immediately let go of the one he had a hold on, and then leapt back out of reach of the spearing blades. Anger began to well up inside of him; he'd almost had victory, and now this! Knowing that he had to finish this before the other Hollow's increased healing took effect, he charged a massive amount of Reiatsu into his blade-arm. He had to make this next attack count!
"Rīpingu Kyōdaaaa!" roared Raizen, his voice ripping across the landscape, and then he raced forward, avoiding the body-blades as they began to twist inwards towards him. He sliced blades off as he moved, not effecting the blades still growing source of Reiatsu in the slightest. Possibly because of that fact. Raizen reached the orb-Hollow, finally, and then gripped one of the stubs where a body-blade used to be and spun the Hollow. As its mask reached him, he growled, brought his blade up, and then brought it crashing down. It sliced a straight line through the mask that went halfway through its body. The Hollow let out a raspy roar of pain, and then began to dissipate. However, before it could, Raizen devoured its Spirit Particles, instead taking its power for his own. He let out a victory cry, and then felt something begin to shift in him. Confused, he looked down at his body, and felt power begin to well up inside. Well, it was more like a surge of hunger that could only be quenched through the Reiatsu of other Hollows. He spun and opened a Garganta to head back to Hueco Mundo, and then stepped through. As he appeared over the great, vast, white desert, he could see not too far away a mass gathering of Hollows, all clashing with each other, trying to devour all of the others.
"I've never... been so HUNGRY! I feel as if I could devour EVERYTHING IN SIGHT! I need to feed on Hollows! Graaaaaaaaaaaaaaagggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!" roared Raizen, and then he was shooting across the landscape. He had to destroy and then devour the other Hollows! He had too! His incredible urge had suddenly become an obsession, one that he knew he had no chance of breaking anytime soon. He zipped into the battle, blade-arm and teeth both already charged with Reiatsu. He began to cut down other Hollows left and right. Hungry! So hungry! He continued to strike down other Hollows, devouring them as he went. He had no idea how long he was doing this. He simply continued to strike down and devour Hollow after Hollow. His hunger just wouldn't be sated until every last Hollow in sight was killed and then devoured! The battle continued on and on. It wouldn't end for quite awhile, at the rate Hollows kept pouring in. However, Raizen somehow felt, and knew, and believed that he would end up victorious. He had no idea why, but as he continued to devour the other Hollows, he felt himself growing stronger at a steady rate. He felt hunger unlike he had ever felt hunger before... It was like the devil danced among them.
