| It's a dark morning and the rain seems like it's never going to stop. Katsumi found himself inside an abandoned barn on the outside of Rukongai. He dicided he was going to wait out the storm there and head home when it clears up a little. Good thing for him he always carried something to eat. Reaching into his coat, Katsumi pulled out a large shinny red apple. As he begins to take a bite out of the apple, he hears something outside. It sounded like voices. More then one. "Hey who's out there?" The voices stopped. Growing a little nervous, Katsumi stood to his feet. "I hope it's not a bunch of drunks again." Just then, Katsumi heard a giggle coming from the top of the barn. He knew that giggle all to well. "It's you again isn't it." Silence grew in the barn. A wind began to blow and Katsumi jumped and drew his Zanpakuto, landing on the loft of the barn. As he looked down, he saw her in the shadows. Bright green eyes were glowing in the distance. Katsumi was caught in her eyes and he felt a sense of confusion. "Why do you keep steaking up on me?"
The strange girl came out from the shadows and that's when it became apparent. Soaking wet, she began to stwist her hair to get out the access water. "If I were steaking up on you, you wouldn't know it. Your loud and still can't sense the people around you." Katsumi wasn't sure if she was a friend or a foe. "You can put away your Zanpakuto. I'm not here to harm you. I just need a place to stay out the storm. This barn is big. I'm sure we can make room for the two of us." Katsumi jumped down from the loft. His hair waved on the way down and he put his Zanpakuto in it's sheeth. "I'm Katsumi." The girl looked at Katsumi began to smile. "Well Katsumi, which side is mine?" "Um... you can have...um what ever side you want." Katsumi said confusingly. Why is she so secretive? It was as if she were trying to get inside Katsumi's head. Katsumi began to walk aroung this strange woman. seeing if he can see any distictive marks on her clothing or any attributes about her that might give him a clue as to who she is or where she is from. "Are you finding what you looking for Katsumi?" She began to smile and dance to other side of the barn. "I'll take this side." She said in a cheerful manner. It seemed as if time was going by so slow. Katsumi can hear his heart beat. It suddenly became hard to swallow. Katsumi wasn't sure if it was because of her mysteriousness or because of her rare beauty. Standing no more then five feet 5 inches, she almost seemed like a young teenager. Her hair to the mid of her back and her steps were so gentle. Medium toned skin and near perfect figure.
"I think it's time you tell me your name?" Katusmi asked in a dignified and controlling manner as he pointed his fingure her direction. She quickly turned and and evil look in her eyes. "You demand me of my name during our second meeting? What if I killed you last time we met? You would have died not knowing who was the girl that ended your pathetic life!" She began to walk over to him with attitude. Katsumi was no afraid and began to try to explain himself. "I...uh..ju...ju...just waa..anted to Kn..know." He said as he stumbled back. Falling on a pile of hay, Katsumi raised his hands to stop her. "Well if that is all then I'll tell you." As she spoke those words, the rain outside stopped. Her attention was taken away from Katsumi and on the roof top. "It looks like the ran has stopped." Children began running the muddy streets and laughing outside. Katsumi was worried and confused at the same time. This girl has a split personality. Just a green light flashed and she doubled. Katsumi was caught by surprised and jumped to the top loft. "What the hell just happened?" One of the doubles ran to the doors and opened up the barn. The sun shown through and she said, "Look there's a noodle shop across the way." The other double that stayed began to giggle and smile up at Katsumi. "Come on lets eat something." This one seemed a lot more sweet and graceful then the other. At that moment another green flash of light lite up the barn and they were one again.
Katsumi jumped off the loft and grabbed her by the arm. "Who the hell are you and what was that?" He said as he turned her around. The wind from turning her opened her coat revealing two Zanpakuto's. Straight white blades with a tribal marking laid out in an emerald green color that came to a sharp tip. As Katsumi turned her around, the tribal design on one of the blades began to glow. "Let go of my arm or lose yours." she said through her clinched teeth. Her eyes were glowing just as bright as the tribal design on the blade. Katsumi stepped back and released her arm. As he did her eyes and Zanpakuto quit glowing.
The two of them walked across the road to get some noodles. Katsumi wasn't sure if he could trust her. He sat there quite as she gracefully ate her noodles and rice. Katsumi slowly dug into his food. He was too busy studying her. "I haven't had noodle this good since..." She suddenly stopped and a sad look grew over her face. "Since when?" Katsumi said curiously. She began to smile and sit up straight. "So how are your noodles?" She was obviously avoiding his question. Katsumi not willing to put his life in danger left it alone. "This place is really good. We need to get them to deliver so we don't have to come all the way out here everytime we want good food." She sat there watching Katsumi's lips as he talked. Eating away, she began to squich her eyes and sit back to ask a question. But she never did. "There is something on your mind?" "Are you asking me or telling me?" Katsumi sat back and finally maned up to the stituation. "Ok that's it. Your going to sit there and answer my questions." She began to stand up and her eyes began glowing again. Before she could utter a word, Katsumi jumped in. "Keep quite! I don't know what you want from me or what your looking for but this is getting old quick. Now tell me once and for all who are you and what do you want?" She put her choke sticks downs and smile once again. She started out the noodle stand when Katsumi jumped in front of her. "Your not leaving until my question are answered." "Teaching you is all I want. In our last encounter I taught you to keep your guard up. Look at you now. I can't even leave because your keeping the upper hand of the situation. As long as you can control the situation, you have nothing to worry about. Once you let your guard down and lose control of the situation, well that's when things get really difficult." Katsumi stood there listening to her words Katsumi realized that she was helping him. But why? What is it that this girl want to accomplish by helping him. Before Katsumi can asked another question, she flash stepped over the houses. Still no name. What else will Katsumi learn from this mysterious girl? Katsumi sighed heavily and began to walk back to his barracks. Wandering when will be the next time they meet again. | |
