Akira looks like a scrawny teenager with white hair and cloudy blue eyes. He wears a pair of glasses and mostly a simple outfit like a school boy. Around his neck, he wears a feather pendant on a chain necklace. He can mostly be found listening to an I-pod as well.

Personality: Akira is overly calm in most people's opinions. Not outwardly appearing to be surprised by anything, he often mutters to himself his feelings on various matters going on around him. He is highly suspicious of others, tending to withhold full trust and companionship until he has known and observed others for a length of time. He has a jokingly mean streak and will verbally bully his doll just to relieve boredom. Regardless of this, his doll is his most trusted and loved companion. He also enjoys music.

Occupation: Akira does whatever he wants as time goes on. His age appearance makes it easy to blend in with a student body for lengths of schooling, or become a young adult in the working society.

Special Characteristics: Over the years of his life in Japan, Akira has extensively studied various forms of hand-to-hand combat, excelling in many styles of martial arts. He also has a nimble way of carrying himself in battle, being light on his feet and good at moving around the battlefield.

Doll Description:

Personality: Sirene is a gentle girl who is completely devoted to Akira. She is playful and happy when interacting with Akira alone, but stays quiet unless spoken to in the presence of others. She can be timid, easily shaken by Akira's teasing and not that good in combat. She acts as a supporter to Akira who does the brunt of the fighting for her.

In addition to her girl form, Sirene can also transform into a sword resembling a giant feather for Akira to wield. She has weaker use of her powers in this form.


Stage 1:

Sirene's initial release when Akira first learns to summon her. She appears as a winged girl about 13 years old with medium sized white wings extending from her back. She has pale blonde hair.


Stage 2:

Sirene's appearance after Akira's power grows. Her appearance has changed to that of a 16-17 year old girl. Her hair has taken more of a silvery shade than it was before, and her wings have grown large enough that she can carry one person with her in flight.


Doll Powers: Element - Sound

First Power: Sound Manipulation - Sirene has an extended amount of control over all sound waves within earshot. Her hearing is also extra sensitive, allowing her to hear further and quieter sounds than most people. She can manipulate sound waves in various ways to accomplish different tasks, such as amplifying her voice to a sonic screech to "knock" people back or weaken physical structures.

Second Power: Sirenenlied (Siren Song) - An ability that makes use of Sirene's spirit power mixed with her voice. By singing, her voice travels into the opponent's brain through their ears and puts them into a temporary trance that messes with their perception and their reflexes. (It's like giving them an instant drunken state) The state can be extended if Sirene continuously sings, but she is unable to use other abilities simultaneously. The range of effectiveness of this ability is greatly reduced if she uses it in her sword core form, since she has no physical mouth in that state.

Third Power: Schlachtruf (War Cry) - The exact opposite of Sirenenlied, Schlachtruf uses Sirene's power and voice to effect Akira's brain in a positive way. Her voice triggers a reaction in his brain that lifts the natural limiters on his muscles, increasing his strength, speed, and reflexes. Overuse of this ability can cause damage in Akira's body that he needs to recover from (A liberty not always available if in the middle of a fight). Usable in core form, but the effect doesn't last as long.

History:
Akira has no memory of his original family or if he even had one to begin with. He took the name Usui on a whim to possess a full name to give others. He was a homeless child in a town in a rural part of Japan until he was forced to leave when it was obvious that he didn't age properly. After that, he wandered alone and scared until he was found by an older bount who took him in and cared for him until he was old enough to take care of himself. Under the care of this older bount, Akira learned about hollows and other spiritual beings, learned how to train and fight, and sent to a school to learn with other kids. He would have stayed with this other bount if it hadn't have been for the hollows. Ambushed by a large group of hollows late one night, his caretaker gave Akira a wrapped package and told him to run away as fast as he could. Akira ran with tears in his eyes, wishing that he could have been more helpful. His friend stayed behind to fight the hollows, and was killed. When Akira later opened the package he'd been given, he found that it contained a handwritten tome with detailed instructions on how to perform the ritual required to acquire a doll. He followed the directions and successfully made contact with his doll, Sirene. After that, Akira spent his years traveling all over Japan learning various forms of combat to compensate for his doll's weakness in direct combat. Because of his friend's death, he developed a severe hatred for hollows and hunted them wherever he found them to try and repent for his inability to save his friend that night. Presently, he has settled in Karakura Town due to its high level of spiritual activity providing an abundance of powerful souls to sustain him and enemies to fight.
