| He had kept hid til the sun when down, but the lights of the city made the night as bright as day. The number of people on the streets increased. What was with this town? Every other city he had gone to the was the opposite. With the coming darkness the people lessened. What made this place so special? Maybe it was the size of the city. It didn't seem so large when he first arrived; it was a mere speck on horizon. He was thankful for some form of civilization. The main problem with piggybacking on the larger hollow's portals was the unknown destination. He had found himself out of the desert of Heuco Mundo, and into a real desert. The sun beating down on him was unbearable. He almost wished to return to the other dimension. Luck had smiled upon him in the form of a truck barreling down the road. He easily jumped atop it and rode to it's destination. Stratus' thoughts returned to the present. He swung from building to building. The busy streets made for poor hunting. Someone would take notice to someone grabbed from the street into the air. He didn't want to be run out of town by a shinigami, there was nothing but desert. He needed to play it cool and keep a low profile. It was like a festival was going on. A constant party with no real theme. Drinking, fighting, and laughing there were people of various ages and colors. There had to be some quite corner for him to feed. He saw several spirits, but he preferred live pray. HE gave a sigh and stopped atop a very high building. He looked down at the city. | |

| Pajaro had been more or less following the spider hollow, he thought it would make for a delicious meal... if he could eat it...
Pajaro dove to about fifty feet above the building it was percched on... He started charching his Onda Llamarada in his mouth and fired it, in an arc that would encompass the entire roof of the building

| So fixated was he on finding prey that he had ignored to sense his surroundings. The only warning of the incoming attack was the sudden flare of light behind him. By the time he turned his head it was already too late to move away. The blast was too large and area for such simple evasive maneuvers. Stratus quickly forced slime from all parts of his body and crystallized it as quickly as possible. He had only a second before the blast enveloped him and the building.
He quickly dug himself out of the smoking rubble. There were shouts from the ground below. The people had noticed the building's sudden destruction. The roof wasn't the only thing smoking, parts of the gray hollow were burnt were he wasn't quick enough in making his armor. The rest of his body had a thin layer of green crystal over it. Most of it cracked from the attack it barely withstood. Now he opened his senses and looked skyward to the beast that just attacked him. He knew hollows ate hollows, but humans tasted better to Stratus. But after that attack he felt he would make an exception. He raised his arms and launched a barrage of green slime orbs at the flying hollow.

| Pajaro was suprised it had taken the blast, now it was retaliating with its own projectile... Pajaro activated Light Flight(i is lazy i am not going through to my profile...) and his wings glowed as he accelerated to dodge the slime and deactivated the draining abilty... Pajaro flew in, and yelled, "You seem distracted!" | |

| Stratus flinched as the light enveloped the hollow. He thought it might be another energy blast. While he was amazed that the creature could move so quickly, he took this time to move as well. The creature was now low enough for him to jump up to meet it. With a mighty leap he rose in the air above the flyer and launched a new assault. He fired two tendrils of slime down at the creature and whipped at the monster's wings trying to entangle him. | |

| Pajaro was genuinly suprised that the other hollow could jump so high... But it was no matter, He charged up 3 Onda Llamarada, One in each hand and one in his mouth, And fired them to countered whatever the slime attack... And used Light light flight to bolt back up 100 feet, and deactivated that ablity... | |

| The blasts of energy utterly destroyed the slime ropes. Stratus was already falling when the blast came. Otherwise he would have been caught in the attack as well. The flying beast took to the higher ground again. Even if he shot the slime again, wouldn't reach that high. But slime wasn't the only toy he had. He created a ball of slime in his hand and made it into crystal. He hefted the small baseball sized orb. Although small it was as heavy as a bowling ball. With a grunt he sent the sphere skyward at the flying hollow. Just as quickly he created another, and then another. Although slower than his first attack, he now had a shower of heavy crystals shooting at his opponent. | |

| Pajaro missed... most unusual of him... but now there was a glint approaching him fast... Pajaro tried to activate light flight again, but it wasnt happening... as he was too slow... The crystal punched a hole in his wing... he dropped like a rock, like a rock enough that all the other baseball sized balls missed him... However there was the problem of falling almost a thousand feet He spread his wings... a baseball size hole of torn flesh fluttered in the wind, painfully... but he managed to slow his fall enough to land on his feet on the road below... he needed to eat to get enough energy for his wing to heal... | |

| As happy as he was to nail his target, any smile he could have mustered turned to a frown. What goes up must come down, was something he had heard before. And now he was learning firsthand what the saying truly meant. The small weights he had tossed into the air now started to rain down upon him. The mini meteorites fell down with enough force to shred the remainder of the roof and cause havoc on the street below. Stratus jumped from the roof to the next building. The hard rain stopped and he looked about for the flying hollow. He knew he had hit it, but didn't get a chance to see where it went down. He growled at his own stupidity and tried to open his senses. There were too many people, now running and screaming due to his last attack. It was hard to find the hollow's energy or spot him visually. | |

| Pajaro was pissed off... His wing had been hit... A cardinal sin... He grabbed a passing human and bit upper body away from it... The panic was already ensuing, there was no more panic, ok mabye alot more, when someone was lifted into the air and their entire upper body disappeared, blood spewing everywhere... Pajaro didn't devote the spiritual power gained to reparing his wing... He had learned that the best way to destroy a building was from the bottom... after crashing through the windows of a building to escape teh falling projectlies he set about gathering spirtual energy for this attack...
Pajaro charged one Onda Llamarada, Contained by his mouth and both hands... was out side now, as he devised that this was the swiftest course of action... the light was almost impossible to not see... the multicolor swirl exploded at teh building which held his adversary... it was relativly easy to sense him since he was seperated... and fired... all but one corner of the buildings first 3 floors were destroyed... Pajaro tried to fly backwards, but it only cause him pain, and he got minamul lift... Not only that he was drained, He sulked down to an alley nearby. and jumped into a garbage pile to hide and heal...

| The shower of debris was the only warning he got as the blast of light ripped from below. This time there wasn't any time to guard with crystal, but the building to the burnt of the attack. Still Stratus was caught up in the building's collapse. The pain as the he was bathed in the technicolor energy made him scream. He released created crystal around himself as he fell through the building and the rubble came crashing down upon him.
It took only afew moments to dig himself free, his rage fueling him he pushed the rock off with little effort. As he emerged his body was still smoking from the being hit. Patches of his skill were burnt, and he had cuts from where rocks had scraped against his unprotected skin. He roared and the air trembled. The people the had gathered around passed out from the pressure. This time he had no problem feeling the other hollow's presence. The angry hollow jumped into the air and fired a rope of slime and swung through the street heading towards the alley.

| Pajaro felt the other hollow approaching... His camoflauge would not hide him... He could not run very fast, but he had an idea to get himself back into the air again... He spread his wings and activated Light Flight, and it gave him enough lift to escape, although he was in the air scarcely 30 seconds... It landed him almost a mile away... his spiritual power drained he crashed and burned as he landed on in the middle of a sky scraper and passed out... | |

| Stratus stopped. Til a moment ago he had a firm lock on his target, but now it was gone. He felt it move, but it moved too fast for him to track. He had been racing towards it, so it much have went the opposite direction. He slowed down and expanded his senses as far as he could. But that was barely 100ft or more. He made a slow sweep of the area. This city was as large as it was wide. But knowing only the direction he had to slowly scan block to block. He knew he would find him and feast on his flesh. | |

| Pajaro awoke... He had firefighters extinguishing whatever fires there were around him...
He had apparently killed someone in the building... several someones... and their spirits were floating around him... Pajaro snagged 4 out of the five... and one that was probably going to become a shinigami from the spirtual pressure of him... and left one who was the weakest... He went to work eating them... he took his time until his wounds of the wings were healed... as he had to have that done...
Once he was finished eating... his wing was hurting but he reckoned he could fly alright. Pajaro ran and jumped out of the hole in the building he created... looking for something more appetizing than that spider hollow... And as he flew he climbed several hundred feet above tall buildings just to be safe.

| He had been searching for the hollow, but his hunger had taken over. Ignoring his own rules he jumped down into a crowd of people and feasted. His annoyance at the lost attacker was starting to show. He had eaten his fill now he threw the surrounding humans around like ragdolls. So what if a shinigami came he would make short work of him too. Stratus jerked his head up from the entertainment, he could feel the other hollow again. He was closer than expected. Perhaps after eating his own senses had returned? Or the other had come out of hiding thinking he had left the area. The signal was high above. How was he going to reach him this time? There was no way he could throw or launch an attack that far off the ground. Unless he could sprout wings and fly, it was a useless to chase him. A strange idea came to him. He put down the human he had been slowly squeezing. And leap to the top of the nearest building.
He kept track of the hollow but made sure to keep his distance and reduce his own signal as best he could. It was difficult to do while moving. He had the hollow on the edge of his own sensing range, he hoped it was well outside of it's range as well. Once he was completely behind it he moved forward slightly, but only climbing the tallest buildings. Soon he found two high buildings relatively close together. While he couldn't see the hollow he could now feel it's presence and with that it's general direction. It was too dark to see properly. He then used his slime on the edges of the tall building making a band as big as possible. Taking one end of the band he jumped to the other building and then secured it. He had to work fast the creature was moving away from him. The green band hung between the two buildings. Stratus jumped to the hanging slack portion and covered himself in crystal. The added weight sent him slamming into the ground, the giant strand pulled taunt behind him. The gray hollow grinned, he had completed his giant slingshot. The buildings trembled with the tension of the band. He shattered the crystal and the elastic slime band yanked him from the ground and whipped him into the air. He severed his connection with the sticky slime before it had a chance to send him back down.
The wind whistled in his ears as he cut into the night sky. Stratus flew head first like an arrow, his arms clinging to his body. He had had trouble breathing, the air was so thin. How high had he gone? He reached out with his senses. The hollow was now below him. Again he made crystal to add to his weight and he stopped rising. For a moment he hung in the air as if gravity knew not what to do with him, then finally he started to fall. The speed was almost as fast if not faster than his launch. The beautiful sight of the city's night lights was wasted on the hollow. The only thing he saw was looking for was the hollow.

| Pajaro watched this spectcal... The spider wanted to shoot the moon... Well he would miss, and surely die on the way down... He needed protection, and he wanted to have an ally, being alone was not fun...
Pajaro now had to think of a way to save him... and hold him at killing range to rational with...
Pajaro fired his Lightflight he would not have enough reshi to keep it up long... but he streaked in above and cut it off... He folded his wings and fell streamlining his body to draw even with the hollow... he charged an Onda Llamarada, a incredibly weak one... and fired it consentrated at the hollows... center of gravity... This altered his trajectory so the hollow smashed into the side of the building... and hopefully he was strong enough to withstand a few floors of concrete, steel and glass...
Pajaro himself opened his wings, to slow his fall, activating Light Flight again to slow him down so Pajaro could hover...
"If we continue this fight we will both be left at a disadvantage" Pajaro yelled this to the hollow hoping he could see reason, "We will both DIE if we keep this up" Pajaro repeated it, as to try and shake him down to earth, assuming he was still alive...

| Before the blast hit him he created a thin layer of crystal, as it knocked him from the sky he created another thicker layer of crystal on top of it. Cocooning himself in the emerald and grinding into the building was just enough to keep the fall from the sky being completely ripping him to shreds. But he wasn't fast enough in forming his crystalline protection. Even thought it was tougher than the building it wasn't think enough to complete absorb the impact force. In the rubble he dug himself free and shattered the remaining pieces from his body. He was covered in cuts and scrapes, but all in all nothing fatal. He could the hear the other hollow calling out to him. "Bastard attacks me, now he wants peace?" He sighs to himself. "I'd rather tear him to pieces." | |

| Pajaro yelled again, still hovering, and spooled an Onda Llamarada in his right hand as a percaution. "We stand more to gain working together than against each other... You start any offense against me, and you die and you have the same rights the other way around... that would be teh terms... or you could have something stronger, like an alliance to help each other out when we are in trouble... | |

| Stratus rubbed his temples. After that fall his head started to hurt slightly. The night was slowly fading, he didn't feel like this would lead anywhere. Maybe it was best to let this one go, but at least he wouldn't leave this battle completely empty handed. An alliance was only as good as their word, and hollows were devious or dumb. With this one he wasn't sure which applied. He sighed, the ability to fly wasn't something to laugh at, it could be useful at some point. Aerial support would be very handy. He hadn't met many flying hollow. "Fine, an alliance then, but keep in mind you started this!" He gave another sigh. "Meh, you probably would have tasted horrible anyway. Time to get some real food." Stratus gave a leap and fired a strand of slime to swing down the road, all that exercise had made him hungry. | |
