| Each footstep boomed in the forest of Menos, yet Ikaru moved about with no fear as his newly formed feet crushed the ground with impunity; he was a master of this underworld which he had so not until recently avoided stepping grounds in. Feeling the sensation of power filling his spirit he allowed the booming wail that had become the Gillian’s calling card to escape his mouth as his spiritual power reverberated throughout the air luring out several smaller hollow as they bolted instinctively away from the approaching mass of spiritual power. His energy thrummed in the air around him; however he became increasingly away that a hunger was enveloping him and it wasn’t the usual hunger he had felt when he had been a normal hollow.
As the days passed on as he moved about the spacious underground of the Menos forest the Gillian became hungrier and hungrier until soon he found himself feasting on several smaller hollow with despicable, ravenous gusto. Currently a small insect like hollow flitted around his clumsy hand screeching and flapping its wings while rooting its barbed legs into the being called Ikaru’s hand. It felt as if it were nothing more than tiny pins pricking his skin and he felt as the hollow’s softness wet his gullet causing his hunger to swell to a deafening pitch. Again he reared back his head revealing a jagged row of porcelain teeth and saliva dripping down onto the black cloak that was actually apart of his body as he wailed again this time in hunger. Perhaps he should hunt something with a little more zing to it.

| Satoshi Ishikawa was crouched high in the branches of some tree in the menos forest. His dark fur combined with the shadow cast upon the branch he stood on rendered him all but invisible. There were good and bad things about hunting in the menos forest. The good thing was that it was full of prey; food was never scarce. The bad thing was that many of the denizens of the forest viewed you as food too.
Anyway, Satoshi was watching from the branch he sat upon for a possible option, while constantly being alert for danger. He was actually about to pounce upon an insect like Hollow when a Gillian came onto the scene and devoured the insect Hollow effortlessly. What was interesting about the Gillian was that its mask was not the standard cookie-cutter mask of most Gillians. That meant it was at least conscious of its own existence. That meant, that although it would be an incredibly tough opponent, bringing it down would result in great reward.
Its back was turned to him now; it was the best opportunity he was going to get. Satoshi jumped towards the Gillian's back, landing on its massive back and digging in with his four back claws to hold himself there. The Gillian's skin was tough; much tougher than any other skin that Satoshi had ever dug his claws into. This would be tough. He made two slashes with his other two claws and began attempting to scythe into the Gillian's back with his impressive fangs.

| Suddenly teeth sunk into his backside and a fierce flash of anger filled him as his mouth opened up releasing foul, stale breath that told of many savage feasts. The Gillian roared passionately as its reiatsu began to bubble in the atmosphere around it as it thrashed about tearing apart the forest area below as it glowed in a dull indigo tint until finally the beast threw its back towards the ground hoping to relinquish itself of the nuisance that had out of nowhere attacked him. Ikaru was furious and even as he lay upon the ground grinding his skin into the dirt in his anger he allowed several Cero blasts strike the vacant ceiling with brutal force into several rocks came crashing towards the ground, but the Gillian paid no attention to the damage that it was causing.
”Why have I been attacked?!” it wondered to itself feeling its rage and loneliness only add to the infernal mix of raw emotion that with the sudden shock of pain would drive it into a bellowing madness that would continue to consume its soul until there was nothing left.
Another wail struck the air at full blast and by this time everyone knew that Ikaru was no longer simply being attacked; the massive Menos was going on the attack regardless of who the enemy may have been, there was no other option than to kill his attacker.

| Dammit, Satoshi's claws dug in deeper as the Menos's skin convulsed beneath him like an earthquake. He was going to be shaken loose at this rate. When the Menos started to fall backwards, however, Satoshi decided that that was probably a good thing, and bailed. He landed on all six of his feet, and darted out from under the Menos just in time before it hit the ground and sent several Ceros rocketing into the ceiling, sending chunks of stone raining down upon the two of them.
Satoshi flung himself away from the falling chunks of ceiling, occasionally having to bat them away with his tentacles as he sought higher ground amongst the branches of the forest again. Here he paused for breath, as the rocks ceased their falling. The Menos's screaming was indicative of its anger, and pain, obviously. There was no backing out now. I'll give you something to scream about... Satoshi's two tentacles looped over him and began firing Hiendan fireballs directly at the Menos lying on the ground.
When they hit, they would explode, and their flames would stick to whatever surface they touched, including flesh. The flames were also very difficult to put out; only an extinguisher with reiatsu in it could do that.

| (OOC: Sorry about the long wait bro. Had some real life issues to deal with)
Howling in ire before removing its clammy hands from the cloak that shrouded its body the beast roared this time releasing a wave of spiritual energy that countered the incoming flames without its knowing. Rising to its feet it searched for the assailant that had made the mistake of attacking one of the Menos. Now an aura of black energy crackled around the towering figure as it located the strange dog like beast; it seemed feral for such a small thing. Suddenly the immediate area of the forest was bathed in a crimson light as particles of compressed spiritual energy gathered in the mouth of the Gillian as its cold eyes remained locked upon the small figure that had invoked its wrath.
Its thoughts were muddled with naught, but raw emotion and only the thought of killing this impudent creature filled its core. Such directness this impulse brought that for the moment no other thoughts penetrated through the blood filled haze that clouded the simple minded Gillian's thoughts. Finally the ball of energy had grown to a considerable size able to destroy any mere hollow that dared to invoke its anger. The blast would surely destroy anything with a 50 meter radius and as it bloomed into pulsing red wave of solidified spirit particles a sound akin to a dull thud was heard. The eyes of the Gillian widened in madness as it bellowed towards the ceiling of the forest consumed by its primitive rage.
Few good things came from angering those of the Menos class and the hollow in the nearby area knew this well for they steered clear of the designated battle scene as a flash of light and destruction consumed the area before the Menos.

| Satoshi's eyes widened in disbelief as the Menos used its spiritual power to take away the brunt of his Hiendan attacks. They widened in fear as it began charging a Cero; Satoshi saw one option, and only one. Given his height, he would obviously have to go down to stand even a chance of surviving; he did not have the ability to travel quickly along the tree branches. But he also wanted to prevent himself from being blown away regardless, even if he was on solid ground.
That left only one option as to where in the nearest vicinity he should go in order to avoid the Cero, the one place close by where the Cero wouldn't hit. Satoshi leaped down, falling faster and faster as gravity took him. No, not falling. Diving, and aiming for the Menos's body; the one place it wouldn't shoot its Cero. Satoshi tried to dig in with his six claws in order to latch himself onto its body again, but he was going too fast.
His claws were wrenched from the flesh as easily as he sunk them in, and he tumbled the rest of the way to the ground; bruised, but at least not disintegrated by a Cero. Now he had to avoid the Menos's feet - getting smashed was hardly on his to-do list. Satoshi darted between the feet and disappeared into the forest, stopping behind a tree to catch his breath. He wondered if the Menos would be inclined to follow him. Only time would tell.
This was a dangerous game. That Menos was more than Satoshi could take, and every minute he spent tangling with it weakened him, which made him all the more vulnerable to the other denizens of the forest.

| Flitting mindlessly between various objects the small four limbed hollow eluded the Gillian, yet it remained rooted to the spot instead choosing to gather its formidable reiatsu into its mouth once more; its destructive power becoming a beacon for any scavengers that a feast was coming. Somewhere within its mind it maintained the notion that it shouldn’t follow the hollow though it had no understanding of forethought instead it was lead by its impulses which sent it lumbering towards the area where the miniscule prey had disappeared to. Its destructive light of death bloomed into full power as it stepped unknowingly a couple of feet away from the particular tree where the hollow was standing. It stood waiting, towering over the area while its brethren from all corners of the forest began to move its direction apparently drawn to the suddenly influx of reiatsu though this did not bother the great Menos for its mind retained it focus of finding the small animal.
Roaring its passionate anger into the sky the Gillian fired a wanton Cero into the ceiling bringing down several large boulders from the rock bed above, each one easily as large as a house. Helped with the force of gravity the modified “meteor shower” persisted in earnest, a few even striking the massive Gillian as it stood lying in wait of its prey. A cloud of dust rose as the area was desecrated in total by the falling debris leaving the hollow nowhere to run and the Menos, now fueled by rage to unleash its wrath upon its unprepared opponent.

| Satoshi's breath came raggedly as he ran through the Menos forest, dodging past trees and Hollows alike as he attempted to lose his pursuer. Luckily, his spiritual pressure was largely insignificant compared to the Menos's, and so the other Hollows pretty much just left him alone as he ran. Satoshi was about to have a more pressing concern, however.
The Menos's Cero had brought down the ceiling, and was bringing large chunks of rock down at the unfortunates on the ground. While a Menos could certainly take hits like that, Satoshi was more fragile. Wood splinters and dust flew into the air as the first chunks of rock hit the dry ground and trees. Satoshi flexed his tentacles and sent Hiendan spiraling up into the air, turning as many of the chunks of rock as he could into flaming meteorites.
The intent, of course, was to make it easier for him to sense the falling debris and avoid. It also had the added benefit of making his reiatsu appear to have multiple sources, which he hoped would help him escape the Menos. Finally, it was possible the flaming rocks would do damage to the Menos if they hit. Anyway, Satoshi's constant barrage of fireballs appeared to be working- there were just a few hundred yards to go before he would break free of the area of effect of the rockfall.

| Suddenly a world of flames surrounded the Gillian and its eyes were blinded briefly with the brilliance of the light for it had not anticipated such an explosion to occur from nowhere. Even so it offered little camouflage for the smell of moist, staunch flesh still managed to reach the nose of the ravenous monster that now towered as an abysmal shadow lurking in the dust cloud that now flashed over everything. A few large stones struck its skin though it ignored the pain instead solely focused upon the small creature that had dared to hunt for it and then one particular rock slammed into its back fueling a fiery sensation that set ablaze its pain receptors. Guttural noises that could only be closely described as whimpering came from the hollow though its eyes still peered through the opaque curtain of dirt in search of the four legged creature that had blind sided it.
Still feeding off its appetite’s gluttonous desire the hollow and it paid off as finally the combination of its eyes along with the keen predatory senses that graced any birthed within the sphere of Hueco Mundo, the large blood hound like Gillian surged forward in the direction that it sensed the small hollow. Even the stabbing throbbing that erupted in angry spurts on various portions of its body did not stop the cloaked figure as step after step it moved towards its target until its shadow finally hovered over the small figure.
A giant hand descended down towards the dog like hollow with surprising swiftness covering ground faster than the creature could have managed until the clammy member of the Gillian’s body encased the small hollow in small cage made of claw like fingers. Meanwhile the remaining remnants of the collapsing ceiling fell down flushing both creatures in a veil of dust and noise thought the Gillian never removed its hand making it possible to catch any slight attempts at escape that the hollow made. Should it attempt to escape then there was nothing left to be done except to devour it and attain even more power than before.

| There was no escape, at least not from this Gillian's cage-like grasp. Satoshi did the only thing he could do; he began causing as much mayhem as he possibly could, biting, clawing, shooting Hiendan from his tentacles and mouth alike. Maybe the Gillian would feel enough pain to let go. Then, Satoshi had a burst of inspiration- he could do that, but also focus on a specific area. Immediately he began to claw/dig through the palm that was the "floor," as well as fire Hiendan at it to make his work easier.
His goal was to dig a hole through the palm so as to escape, and at the same time cause the Gillian as much pain as possible. So far as Satoshi could see, it was his only hope.
