Joining the Ranks

The screams could be heard from mile around, no one was sure what they meant whether some was in danger or what. The screams were coming from a short red head who was furiously speeding through the Sereitei, to most she was just a red blur.

The screams were Joyous ones, she'd passed her final evaluation at the Shinigami academy, she was no longer a student. She turned a corner and nearly tumbled over herself but she managed to stay of her feet. She saw the entrance to the barracks and quickened her pace.

She burst through the front door and sped through the squad barracks, leaping from side to side to avoid running into people. She arrived at the Captains officer and rapidly tapped on the door. She couldn't keep still, even as she waited to be allowed in she fidgeted and squirmed

"Enter"

Tiarna burst through the door with a giggle, she came in to fast and tripped over the table and landed on the floor starring up at Ri. Her smiled didn't waver only grew larger.

"And So we meet again"

"So we do"

Ri offered his hand to Tiarna, but she scrambled to her feet of her own accord. Ri could see Tiarna had been running, her face was flushed but maybe that was because of him, he could only hope.

"What do I owe the visit"

"I eh, I eh....."

"Here sit, catch your breath" Ri said gesturing to Tiarna to take a seat and calm down. The two took sat down on the couch as Tiarna panted heavy trying to catch her breath. Ri could only think how beautiful she look with her cheeks so rose.

Tiarna blushed when Ri offered her a seat but her face was too red from running for Ri to notice. She took a number of deep desperate breath before she was able to speak normally.

"I.... Graduated.... today" She gasped out a well throwing her arm around Ri, she hadn't thought about it. In the few second it took her arm to swing around Ri, she franticly panicked but her panicked was soon eased by Ri's accent.

"Congratulations Tiarna thats great"

She pried she arms away from Ri and sat back, her eyes seemed to grow larger and water somewhat, almost like a puppys eyes. She pouted her lip as she thought of how to ask.

"Can I, Maybe join....squad thirteen"

"Tiarna of course you can but tell me why out of the thirteen squad this one" Ri asked to satisfy his curiosity though he wasn't expecting an honest answer. Tiarna eyes shifted a bit then looked to her shoes.

"I have my reason" She said returning her eyes to Ri's. Hey eyes seemed like flicking flame in a fire, mesmerizing. She inches closer to Ri, he could hear her hearth beat. Ri bent his head down slightly, their lips were inches away. The doors blew open, a shinigami appeared kneeling his face looking to the ground. Tiarna took a step back and Ri turned his attention to the new arrival.

"I'm sorry to disturb you Captain but you're need at the squad one barrack immediately" The shinigami said as he looked up at the obviously frustrated Ri. Ri look to Tiarna, they exchanged looks then Ri moved toward the door.

"Tiarna will be join our squad see that gets settled in."

"Yes sir"

"Till we meet again Tiarna"

He vanished from sight.

"Till we meet again"
