Living in the Living World (Saroki & Kaiyo)

Ri was awaken by a knock on his door, he took his time getting up and was annoyed as he had that rare thing ,a good night sleep and now was disturbed. He pulled on his clothes then opened the door to find the vice-Captain of squad ten standing before him

“Sir” Ri said bowing his head, immediately he knew he was about to receive orders as it was the only reason the vice captain ever talk to him.

“A number of patrol have attacked by an unknown force, a small task group is being formed for a term mission to Karakura Town. This group will remain in the town to perform the duties of normal patrol until such time that the cause is located and dealt with as no patrols will be sent. You’ve been select to join the group along with the Captain of squad eleven and the third seat of squad two.” The vice-captain said reading off the orders from a sheet of paper.

“Understood Sir, I’ll report to the Senkaimon gate immediately” Ri said as excitement grew inside him. The vice-Captain nodded in acknowledgement then left to go about his own duties. Ri quickly grabbed his Zanpakuto and head off to the squad twelve R&D building to pick up a gigai.

After a short trip to the R&D building and a long argument with one of the technicians Ri made his way to the Senkaimon gate to wait the arrive of the others. He was already in his Gigai , well waiting he had received more detailed orders involving living in the living world in his Gigai well investigating the matter ,he’d been giving an ample amount of the local currency for housing as well as food.

Saroki was woken up from a good night's rest, a knock on the door. At first she ignored it, like any other sleep deprived shinigami would. But, the knock grew louder...And louder....And louder, untill it was only fucking thing she could hear. She stumbled out of bed, still half naked, not bothering to get dressed in uniform, she answered the door.

"Saroki Kanime of 2nd squad, a unknown force has been capturing, or killing, the patrols in Karakura town. We have assembled a team to confront this force. You'll meet them at the Senkai gate. You will be living in the world of the living for a period of time, untill you find out and eliminate what has been causing these disappearances."

The vice-captain of squad eight said. She grumbled a bit and slammed the door shut, why was it that SHE had to go? She was just being angry, she would normally jump to such a mysterious mission, but right now, she was sleeping. Something she rarely got due to all of her rigirous training.

Saroki got dressed, had breakfast, and headed out. She grabbed a gigai, along with some currency for the real world, and headed to the senkai gate. She arrived about five minutes after Ri had.

Saroki yawned out loud and waved to Ri.

"Hello..."

She said with a tired voice.

The knock came loudly on Kaiyo's door, thudding through her headache before the door was quickly slammed open. 'What?!' Kaiyo snapped in anger. The unfortunate 1st squad member seemed like the girl was about to eat him for breakfast, which was in fact very unlikely. Although Kaiyo had somehow been dragged out to a squad dinner the evening before hand, where the renowned light-weight proceeded to drink 2 bottles of Sake, and was feeling the effects the morning after.Kaiyo didn't drink, she couldn't handle her drink, and she was a very aggressive drunk, although she was a lot worse with a hangover.

'S...S...Sorry Kaiyo Taichou, I have orders from the Captain Commander'. Kaiyo eyed up the scrawny shinigami for a moment, considering if killing him would get her a few moments of peace and quiet. The guys eyes shook in fear when he saw Kaiyo reaching for her hilt, shaking his hands wildly he stuttered through the rest of his message at a high speed. You’ve been select to join the group, you'll meet at the Senkai gate!' A bead of sweat rolled down the guys head as he literally turned and ran out of Kaiyo's office.

'All i wanted was a bloody Gigai!' the girl slammed shut the door of the R&D department, the large metal slab cracking off it's hinges as the Captain stormed off. Of course they'd need her to fill out forms, of course they have to check her hearing and health, and of course they'd have to be a complete and utter waste of her time. Kaiyo didn't even know who was on this stupid task force; in all honesty she hadn't even been listening to the mission at all, but she figured it would be with other people.

The short girl hopped into her gigai and made her way to the Senkai gate, keeping her Zanpaktou strapped at her left hip. Kaiyo blinked slowly as she kept her head down, stalking towards the two other figures waiting at the Senkai gate. The Captain offered no greeting, instead kaiyo stood in silence for a moment, before raising her right palm to both Ri and Saroki, still not having looked at who they actually were. 'I have...a headache...Please be quiet or i'll cut you're vocal chords out' she spoke in a quiet and deadly serious tone. Clearly not so used to having a hangover.

Ri turned his head around to see Kaiyo and from her tone and the earlier morning headache he figured Kaiyo was partaken in one of Ri's favorites activities. Ri smile grew slightly , two girls , one guy , he could get use to missions like these .

“I know that tune. Fun night?” Ri said speaking softly so not to enrage Kaiyo as though he’d become more powerful since their last spar , he went with a shadow of a doubt she could still cut out all of his organ before he could even draw his Zanpakuto.

“This everyone?” Ri said as members of the Kido force started to operate the gate and slowly started to open it.

Saroki didn't bother waving to Kaiyo, or even aknowledging her intro. Instead she responded with a earth-shattering yawn. Saroki rubbed her eyes afterwards, completing the official "I AM VERY TIRED" sequence.

She turned around as the gates opened fully. The inside of the gate was actually pretty colorful, all things considered, and she didn't see it often. So, it was kinda' refreshing.

"Fancy."

Saroki said in a very sarcastic tone, despite her actual thoughts. Saroki started to walk into the gate, not bothering to check whether or not the others were coming with.

Kaiyo nodded slowly at Ri's question, not wanting to move too much. The girl grimaced at Saroki's yawn, wondering if she was trying to be as loud as possible just to piss her off. Kaiyo stood up straight, rubbing her face gently as she made her way through the Senkai gate behind Saroki. The girl squinted as she wandered through, her hazy vision trying to make shapes out of the blobby light that had engulfed her. 'Yeah...it's lovely' she replied in a dead-pan tone.

Kaiyo glanced back slightly to Ri, 'Just us then?' she announced, finally landing in the real world. It was a lovely day; blue skies, bright sun and a gentle breeze that flapped against Kaiyo's clothes where she stood in the middle of the air. kaiyo glanced down to her wrist, a pale blue watch was attached to it (a souvenir from a real world trip years ago) 'I guess we made it in time for school...Lucky us'. The mission was stupid, Kaiyo hated real world school. Then again, given the average height for the mission, none of them would be exactly fitting into high school.

Ri ventured through the gate behind Kaiyo and entered the living world as Kaiyo made her school comment. Ri laughed a bit then saw that kaiyo wasn't laughing

"Your not serious." Ri moaned not eager to enter a building full of self involved children blind to the happening in their everyone own world. He had planned on find somewhere to stay then finding who ever was attacking the patrol as fast as they could.

Ri saw something flash in the distance then closer to him , two shinigami appear before the group, the last patrol who'd been recalled.

"Nothing to report" Both of them said gazing up at Kaiyo. Ri sighed slightly then gestured for the two to leave through the gate which they did and left for the soul society

Saroki emerged from the, rather colorful gate. She looked around, a large grassy field surrounded them. And in the distance, he could see a school. "So, i'm guessing that's where we go first?" Saroki said with a worn down tone. It was easy to sense her aura, she was almost sleep walking.
Saroki rubbed her eyes once more, hoping to remove the haziness from her surroundings. Saroki started walking towards the school, being rather oblivious to her surroundings.

After a few minutes of walking, she stopped; The girl looked back on Ri and Kaiyo. "Oi! You coming or not?" Saroki said with a sarcastic voice.
She didn't mind school, knowing about hollows wasn't something she liked. Infact, sometimes she wished she was just a normal human, was that all that bad?
But it was impossible, the fact was that she already had her chance, and she screwed it up.
She didn't know how though, no shinigami remembered they're past lives.

Kaiyo looked apologetically over to Ri, an answer to his question, one that she wished herself wasn't true. Kaiyo looked blankly at the two reporting shinigami that appeared in front of her, stepping aside to let them pass before she heard Saroki's cold tone. Kaiyo glanced back round to her with a small smirk, 'Someone slept well Saroki' she teased.

Kaiyo sighed with a light annoyance, the cool breeze actually making her feel more awake already. The short girl jumped upwards for a moment, raising her arms as she fell downwards through the sky, landing with a quick roll onto the nearest rooftop. Kaiyo looked back up to Saroki and Ri, moving her arm with a large gesture for them to head down to the ground as well. Three bloody short kids arriving to high school was bad enough without them having to explain how they could fly as well. Another breeze lifted Kaiyo's hair as it swept out of place, eventually falling back into position as Kaiyo squinted down across the street to the school. 'I can see this going very badly' she mused to herself, waiting for Saroki and Ri.

OOC: Gigias remember , no flying but we can do kido if i remember right.

Ri grumbled he couldn't recalled his schooling in his mortal life but had a feeling of dread about it. He followed closely behind Kaiyo well keeping his sense high to try and detect anything strange

"I see my self beat someone" Ri said with a sigh as he crossed the street heading for the school gate. The school bell rang as the many student that filled the school yard started filing into the school.

"We can turn away right now and no one would notice" Ri said desperately to Kaiyo hoping she'd come to her sense and call of the school trip.

Saroki followed close behind, patting Ri's back suddenly with a rather disappointed smile. "Oh Ri, you naive child. We can't turn back now, otherwise people will question why we're not in school. It'll blow our cover, in other words."
Saroki said to Ri, giving off a sense of fake sympathy.

Saroki could see the school coming close to view, and as it grew larger, her excitment was sparked.

"Race you there!"
She shouted out to Kaiyo and Ri. Saroki bursted into a complete sprint towards the school. They were just about late, with three minutes left on the clock.

Kaiyo giggled lightly at Ri's last plea, about to agree with him and just go hide out in the park, when Saroki answered for her. Kaiyo lowered her head in defeat. The girl looked up back up, only to see Saroki bobbing along in front of her. Kaiyo threw her arms up into the air melodramatically, swaying left to right as she sighed loudly, 'Eurgh, now i have to do exercise as well!'. The blonde Captain jumped slowly into the air, staggering through her run before she started to pick up any real speed. Kaiyo pumped her arms up and down as she sprinted towards to the front door, not content with reaching the outside of the large school, the girl slid through the door, skidding to a halt in the main entrance as she short blonde girl collided straight into her soon to be teacher. Kaiyo lay in a heap on the ground, her left arm twitching for a moment as the teacher in question began to fume silently.

Ever one to make good impressions, Kaiyo jumped back up to her feet, gesturing to both Saroki and Ri as she spoke with an almost overly-cheerful tone, 'We're transfer students!' she beamed. The 12th squad had sorted them out with the real world documents they needed, so no issues would be raised as to their previous academic progress. The woman just seemed to get even angrier at this statement.

"What she said" Ri said from the back of the group , he took a look at the class who were already whispering and sneering at them. Ri took a deep breath as he walk to the back of the class and took an open seat at a window.

He chose that seat as the boy in front of him was huge enough to block Ri from the teacher sight and plus he could see out the window for anything that might warrant him leaving and at this stage if he saw a bird fall he'd be all over it.

Saroki sped up her pace, she was almost about to be beaten to the finishing line. But as she made her last stride, she dived towards the school doors. She crashed into Kaiyo, to say the least. She got up in a hurry, nearly hiding behind Kaiyo from the rather scary teacher.

Saroki walked into the class, following Kaiyo close behind, she hadn't studied things such as math or science in a long time. So right now, she couldn't see herself enjoying this. The girl took a seat behin Ri, glaring out of the nearby window. Perhaps dreaming of escape. Or at least a better class!

The woman eyed the three students up, leading them silently to her class. Kaiyo shuffled to the back of the class, Kaiyo frowned slightly, taking the seat next to Saroki, with no cover from the devil woman. Kaiyo was getting ready to switch off her mind, already allowing her gaze to wander out the window; Kaiyo was considering pretending to faint, that would get her out of class, and all she had to do was hold her breath. Taking in an extra large deep breath, the woman wandered to the front of the class. Her voice curt and short as she spoke, adding in a sinister smile, 'Class, we have some new transfer students today, now they're going to introduce themselves by telling you their name, and a historical fact they know'. Kaiyo was just about ready to burst into laughter, what the hell was this woman playing at? She'd been dead for fucking years, how on earth could she make up a historical fact.

The class, that had been effectively silenced from their stares and sniggers, all turned to face Kaiyo. Wishing greatly she was sat where Ri was, the girl giggled lightly. 'Erm, well my names kaiyo, but you can all call me kai if ya like, and i guess one historical fact would be...' The girl's mind was racing at a mile a minute, she knew nothing! 'Okay, think think think, you don't know dates, say something easy, something thats obvious but say it so it sounds better'. 'That every ruler for any country has died'. Kaiyo spoke confidently, fairly certain she could get away with it. This was of course until the rest of the class decided to explode into laughter. Kaiyo's smile froze. The woman, clearly not aused, whipped her large wooden ruler onto her desk, silencing the laughter with the loud smack, 'Well seeing as you think this is so funny Miss Saiyouko, why don't you move to the front'. Kaiyo wanted to stab this woman, and it made her smile to think of a hollow tearing her limb from limb. Anyway, the girl obidiently, slammed her chair back into place as she sauntered over to the very front desk.

The teacher gaze followed Kaiyo from her seat to the one at the front then she turned her attention to Ri, who'd been gazing out the window trying to meditate hoping to make the time past fast.

"And you Mr Nocht" The teacher said her tone strict and stuck up. Ri snapped out of her trance and look around for a moment unaware of the teacher question but well aware of the class starring at him.

"Do I need to repeat myself Mr Nocht" The teacher said noticing the look of confusion on Ri's face, Ri could see that she was going to annoy the hell out of him but regardless he started to talk.

"O'Nocht" Ri said slowly then returned his gaze to the outside world.

"Excuse me?" The teacher said irritated about being corrected by Ri , who only barely heard the question, slowly he turned his head.

"Your excused" Ri said as the class giggle and the teacher face grew red as he gritted her teeth.

"And a historic fact? Mr O'Nocht" She asked through her clenched jaw. T

"Arn't you the one who should be telling us that crap" Ri said bored with the whole situation. The class broke out into laughter as the teacher turned a prettiest shade of red.

Saroki looked to Kaiyo, and then to this, rather nasty teacher. She just about had enough if her crap, she was hassling Saroki's friends, and to be honest, it was worse than being scolded by a superior. The girl focused on the teacher, perhaps day dreaming of killing the grouchy old lady.
"And your name?"
The teacher pointed out to Saroki, with a rather devious, yet frustrated expression on her face.
"Kanime Saroki 4th Seat of squa-"
Saroki stopped mid-sentence, cursing inside her mind, what had she gotten herself into? So quickly as-well. She had been taught to always state her seat, and squad when performing a introduction. And this time, it had been for worse. The teacher's face was now that of a devious one, frustrated one, and confused one all at once. A very cluttered mash of emotions made her face look like a squiggle more than anything.
"What was that? Playing too many video-games are we? If you play too much your brain will rot."
The rude woman said in a even more annoying voice.
Saroki sighed a bit, maybe she should have ditched school with the others.
"So, please tell the class a historical fact."
The woman said: Saroki smirked a bit, she had just come up with a very devious plan.
"I got one right infront of me!" Saroki said with a chuckle, the rest of the class giggled and laughed, though soon becoming silent as they did not want to be punished.
The teacher frowned, obviously angry.
"Well then, I guess your smart mouth is going to have to stand in the hall untill class is over!" The woman said with a devilish smile. Saroki was happy to oblige, considering that she'd do anythig to escape the class at this point. The girl exited the class and stood by the door, a irritated expression on her face.

Kaiyo's smile dropped when the woman turned her death gaze to her, 'You too, and you! All three of you can wait outside until i'm ready to deal with you ' she pointed accusingly in Kaiyo's face, and then over to Ri. Kaiyo lowered her head for a moment, looking back up to the woman with a more sincere smile, 'Hey lady, you want some advice, just don't point your finger at fucking crazy people!' she yelled, grabbing onto the teacher's wrist as she flung it backwards as gently as she could manage, still making the woman stumble backwards into the board. So far, things could have gone better, and seeing as their orders had specifically called for the three shinigami to 'blend in' in the high school, they really needed to start taking a new approach. Kaiyo rode from her chair and walked out to the classroom, ignoring the teacher's screaming as she left. Kaiyo slammed the classroom door, shaking the entire room as she did so.

The blonde girl bit her bottom lip gently for a moment, as she leant against the wall next to Saroki. Kaiyo turned her head to the side, glancing at Saroki with an amused expression as she giggled, speaking in a mocking tone of her friends voice, 'Kanime Saroki 4th Seat of squad 2'. Kaiyo continued to laugh even louder, finding the girl's answer pretty damn hilarious. Kaiyo waited for Ri to get out the class, sliding down the wall, until she was sitting against it, her arms wrapped around her knees as she sighed heavily. 'Ya know she might send us to a military school, and we might have to actually go' she laughed lightly, musing over the possibilities of their actions.

"You to mister Nocht" The teacher said to Ri , who's face immediate lit up in anger. He stood up and lazily walked toward the top of the glass. His eyes remained fixed on the teacher as he walked, he didn't care about being thrown out ,he'd planned to escape out the window anyway but what annoyed him was the teacher hadn't bothered to learn his name.

"O'Nocht , I think someone of you status should be able to pronounce that" Ri said as he opened that door then closed it shut. When the door shut Ri's anger vanished and he broke out in laughter.

"Anyone enjoy pissing off the teacher" Ri said smiling broadly as he joined the other.

Saroki glanced over to Kaiyo, her face full of a mixture of embaressment, nervousness, and irritation. She seemed to simply stutter in reply to Kaiyo picking on her. "H-h-hey!!! Y-yo-u don'-t ha-ve t-t-to say i-t ever-y-y d-da-y!!!" She said in a defensive tone. The girl flailed her arms around ask she spoke. But as Ri walked out in the hall, she too started to laugh. It seemed they had all been kicked out; Wasn't a very good teacher she was paired up with, but then gain they arrived unannounced and not in a school uniform.

The conversing grinded to a halt as the school bell rang, it was time for lunch. Saroki jumped, literally. The poor shinigami nearly jumped right out of her clothes. She settled back down quickly, though. But the startling bell certainly gave her a shock. And it wasn't her fault either, the bell was praticly right next to her head.

She let out a small squeak;; She didn't like school, not one bit.

Kaiyo just carried on laughing, nodding to Ri as her wandered out the classroom as well. In fact, the girl only stopped for a moment, to watch Saroki jump to high hell over the school bell, so much for the stealthy 2nd squad. Tears welled up in Kaiyo's eyes as she lowered her head, her shoulders shaking as she entered what is commonly known as; a giggle fit.

The rest of the class filed out into the hallway, hustling and bustling past the three troublemakers. There was so far, a very mixed response. Immediate respect for pissing off the teacher, but still an uncertainty about the three new kids. Kaiyo starting taking deep breaths as the last few kids tumbled out the classroom. Judgement time. The short blonde girl slid back up the wall, standing up straight as she managed to not laugh for a moment, 'Okay, we need to try and be good students here, because we're stuck in this school for a while' . It was a warning, and sadly, a true one, because they were on the mission until they were told to return, it could be a month! That would be too long, Kaiyo would fake an injury if it was that long.

The door swung open to the room, the snarling teacher popping her head around just quick enough to make Kaiyo start giggling again. Literally biting her tongue, the girl followed the swift gesture for the three students to file into the classroom. Three tables, front and centre, that's where they were told to sit. Kaiyo took the middle seat, hell, it was where she'd been moved to. Fighting the urge to tilt her head back and starting howling hysterically, the short blonde girl was simply breathing a tad loud, breathing made the laughing go away.

The woman pursed her lips together, folding her arms as she leant against the front of her desk. Kaiyo's mind wandered back to her days at the Shinigami Academy, one specific teacher who had literally rained hell down onto the girl. Kaiyo couldn't even remember the damn woman's name, only that she had been her History teacher, and had held a particular flair for hating the girl, and this woman, reminded Kaiyo a lot of her. Which she doubted would be a good thing. Still clenching her fists to not laugh, Kaiyo didn't look at the woman.

'Explanation, now' she snarled, waiting patiently until all three students had spoke. Kaiyo just had to hope Saroki and Ri had paid attention to her warning, and that she didn't just look up and laugh in the woman's face.

Ri followed Kaiyo back into the classroom and took the seat after kaiyo, furthest from the door. Ri star confidently back in the teachers eye as she waited for them all to take their seat and perhaps try defend each others.

'Explanation, now' she snarled, waiting patiently until all three students had spoke. Ri smiled as he sat up in his seat and thought of something clever fast.

"Explanation? That alone isn't a question but a statement but maybe you want an explanation for just how that stick got in your arse for which if you want i can give you graphically verbal recreation of how i think that stick just got up there." Ri said well keeping his confident star into the teacher eye never breaking for a second.

"I think I'm in trouble now" Ri said turned his head to smiled at Kayio and Saroki well he waited for the execution to swing her axe.
