Discovery of One's Path. (Solo Thread)

((OOC: This is pretty much Raikou's learning about Vasto Lordes so he actually has a path to take and gets some proper reasoning along the way, enjoy.))

Stealth was what was needed to pull off this; Raikou Tristeza scoured through the forest in search of other beings with a bit more strength than himself. Those dark crimson eyes darted from side to side. In search of two things: Any Adjuchas or Menos that he may encounter and for the previously mentioned hollows. "Where are they..." Rai growled to himself as he snuck behind tress and past other menacing creatures. There were voices nearby now; Raikou had to see what they had been discussing. A momentary swift dash lead him behind a big solid pillar where he noticed a large number of Adjuchas. Their voices were somewhat faint but he could make out what they were talking about.

"So, I heard there was a vasto lorde appearance recently within the southern end of this forest." En'chur spoke to the others. He seemed to be a rather big hollow with a mask covering his entire face, muscular; a brute to say. "Well, we shall need to be avoiding that part of the forest until that is cleared up then." Lena spoke afterwards; she seemed to be the type who likes to speak her mind, perhaps a bit too much. "Wait...what's that?" Raikou seemed to have made somewhat of a sound in his shuffling to get closer but just as fast as he came, the hollow sped off.

"Vasto lorde? What's a vasto lorde?" Raikou thought as he ran; the grass tumbling and brushing underneath his step. It was only soon that Rai happened upon a group of hollows that were congregating a Menos Grande. What were they doing? Guarding it? The first trip within this forest was sure a risky one. One of the hollows followed a breadcrumb sent off by Raikou. The shuffling within the trees closest to the dumb beast. By looks it seemed weak, well at least to Raikou. The mere moment it got out of sight of the more dominant being. Raikou pounced; his teeth dug into the hollow's flesh and ripped it off by the neck. That delicious blood caused a growl of pleasure to escape the beast. Now it was something different though; his hunger had been sated, but his thirst for knowledge was far from such.

An ominous wind wept past Raikou's ears and silence beckoned. It was odd, from the whole time he was there, he heard nothing but calamity and such; the civil banter that he had witnessed earlier was a bit rare for him. A faint voice echoed off into the distance, it spoke "...Cero..."

That voice rung so many horrors and the next thing he heard was a deafening blast from behind him. The fear was heart throbbing even for a fearless hollow who didn't even see what occurred. His fearful dark red eyes were now quivering and his legs buckling. Raikou could only shake his head and hope to whatever force was in control, that the same fate of whatever became of the being that was hit did not happen to him.

The tearing throbbing forced him into somewhat of a paralyzed in that state within the shadows. His mind was telling him to go and check out what happened and his heart and body was telling him to get out of the forest as fast as he could. Raikou however forfeited to his mind and stepped from the shadows only to peer behind the tree to spot a human sized silhouette. The menos was gone and the other hollows seemed to have fled.

Now was that sole being and once it's gaze turned upon Raikou; a striking fear entered his heart. His instinct told him to run and that is what he did. He knew good and well that if he stayed; his fate might have been grave and the one thing he wished to do was survive.

Fear; the very essence that courses through most beings. The very emotion that causes one to run like a wild rat away from a night owl. Fear, the essence of death and destruction; telling one of his or her eventual demise. The only thing that could possibly send even the most powerful beings running with their tails in between their legs. Heh, just what Raikou was doing now. Running from his death, his torture, his degradation. All his purpose was now questioned. Nothing truly did except all he could think about was that silhouette.

The voice returned "Scared?" This only made Raikou run faster; duck and dash between the trees and through the forest being blinded by everything else except that. This was his first of many lessons soon to come. "Hmph, worthless..." The voice echoed through his head. It was deep,dark cold; holding nothing but treachery and deceit. Now he was the one to run like his victims before him. "Coward..." So much, too much to handle.

It blinded him to the point where he truly didn't know what direction he was going. Wherever he went, that silhouette was there stalking him -- or it seemed like the silhouette was following him. Raikou was in such a panicked state that he was now delusional; the idea of finding out what a Vasto Lorde was at this time was a stupid idea, but since curiosity drove him, he followed it. Rai was going to follow his curiosity until it led to his demise most likely. This was to either pave his power towards that of power or nothingness.

The voice turned into a mad laughter which placed more of this wonderful fear into his 'heart' to say. With each passing second it got louder and louder until Raikou found himself within a clearing. Those shivering crimson eyes scanned from left to right in wonder of what would happen, where he was going to hide; If there was any place that he could hide.

From the dark corners of his eyes, Raikou noticed the two adjuchas from earlier. Both seemed a bit too happy for his liking. "W-what do you want...?" Rai staggered for a moment and looked between the two with his head bowed along with his claws pressed into the ground with a aura of defense around him. "You were the one from before?" Lena spoke to the fearing hollow with a tone of superiority. "What is he so afraid of?" En'chur asked. "Don't know; but let's teach this little wild one a lesson that he won't soon forget..." This impending violence was all that took place. It was just to prove one's power.

Ever since he got here, all he has seen is bloodshed which should have been natural to him. But, there was a thirst for more -- at least for him there was. Just as he was about to fire a Sombra Raya sphere; the Adjuchas sonido'd behind him which put him in a state of shock and the next thing he knew; Raikou was being slammed through trees and barreling on the ground afterwards. A large yelp was heard along the way. However, he didn't come to a stop there as the male hollow repeated the female's actions and kicked him into a wall. The wolf was now bleeding and down; what else was there for him to do besides die because of foolishness.

With the last of his energy, that beaten and nearly broken body stood up and growled at the two Adujchas. "He's standing....wow is he a tough one to off." Lena laughed along with her companion. Suddenly the unexpected happened; a sharp wind overpassed those three and inbetween them stood the silhouette which sent Raikou cowering once more. Its back was turned to him, why? "Hmph...insects.." it spoke before moving behind them as quickly as he came. Blood now spewed as the female Adujachas fell and the man only tried to run away but was only halted by a simple phrase "...Cero..." a bright green blast fired off and obliterated the male within a moment.

It's dark eye turned towards Raikou, the cowering mutt. His throat wassoon grabbed and he was picked up and pinned against the wall. "You have fear in your eyes, yet you tried to stay strong in front of two very strong adujchas. You have potential unlike those dogs." The vasto lorde busted out in laughter and clenched his hand around the dog's neck tighter. "What do you seek?" Thelian brought Raikou directly in front of his face from the wall "Power? Skill? A will to survive? A purpose?" Thelian quickly threw Rai through a few tress, sonido's above him a bit then crshed into the ground. "The highest you could get is vasto lorde; which just happens to be the level where I am at." Raikou's eyes widened as he thought within his weak state "That's a Vasto Lorde?!" Now he was speechless,

Was this amount of strength truly comprehensible? For Raikou, no it was far from understandable. Raikou continued staring at the male until he spoke one last time "You are lucky that I had my fill of fun; if we meet again. You will not be as so lucky as to live." Thelian jumped off without even telling Raikou his name. It was not like he was important in the first place but added that if he did know it; then he'd be dead and long gone already.
