Hollow Mask Enhanced Power: Ryouta’s mask greatly increases the efficacy of his Zanpakuto’s attacks when in sealed and Shikai states. Even in a sealed state, Ryouta’s Zanpakuto will freeze upon touch because of the sheer power. In Shikai, Ryouta’s techniques will do a comparable amount of damage to his Bankai minus the mask. However, the masks true augmenting ability shines through when Ryouta goes Bankai with the mask. Aesthetically, the mask appears to complete his armor, as before, the armor his Bankai formed left his face exposed. In terms of power…the mask grants him powers similar to that of Barragan’s Respira.

He calls one Resfriado Cierto - or “True Cold.” Essentially it operates the more or less the same way aesthetically, taking the form of an ice blue mist that hovers around him and can be sent in any direction. Anything it touches is instantly brought to a temperature just above absolute zero, rendering it so brittle that even the movement of air molecules against it causes it to shatter. Like Barragan’s Respira, if Cierto Resfriado touches a small part of an organic thing’s body, it will continue along the length of it.

As stated before, the mask greatly increases the efficacy of Ryouta’s Zanpakuto. Therefore, any water, steam, or ice he sends out will be exponentially more in volume and power. So, a burst of water from Ryouta, as simple an attack as it sounds, is like having a skyscraper filled with water being thrown at his enemy.

The blue frost that Ryouta forms can also be changed so that it is superheated mist with similar properties. However, instead of rendering the target so cold it shatters at the slightest movement, it instead heats the target to the point where its molecular and chemical bonds come apart. It is so hot that not much pain can actually be registered. This power functions in pretty much the same way as Resfriado Cierto does, but Ryouta calls it Calor Cierto, "True Heat."

This also applies to any lightning he sends out. With the mask on, he can create ball lightning, and has more control over its direction, meaning he can actually direct it as opposed to just causing random lightning strikes all over the place. Instead, he could, for example, cause chains of lightning to form around a person and simultaneously lacerate and burn them to cubes of smoking flesh. The lightning he creates in this form appears black, and so he calls it Rayo Oscuras, "Dark Lightning".
