No kido, no shunpo, just pure skill. Open spar.

Poster reads. "All day sparing, 11th squad barracks TODAY, no kido or shunpo allowed"

Katrex was snoozing in the middle of the dojo awaiting his first fight. It was still early morning as he had had to get up early to put the posters around seretei so he was catching up on some sleep.
It would be nice to fight against someone not in the 11th squad, but to be honest they were the only ones who were up for the fights anyway.
He jerked awake as he felt someone approaching, wiped the tiredness out of his eyes and stood up, taking up his wooden zanpakuto, he looked expectantly at the door.

(as the posters are up around seretei I expect others to turn up, and they can appear of with each other and later we could perhaps do tag teams or whatever. So more than one person welcome for sure. By the way I check this post every hour so responses will be timely)

Kuroi walked to the 11th squad barracks... he didnt have fond memories of this squad... especially of the unseated members... but Kuroi was a different person than he a few months ago... Being in the 4th Squad changed him... whether it was for the better he still had to find out...

Kuroi walked into the 11th squad barracks... trying not to instinctivly shrivel away from the squad members until he arrived at the Dojo...

Kuroi walked into the dojo when and he noticed to a shingami who looked like he just woke up... Kuroi leaned his zanpaktou against the wall, taking a wooden one from a rack since this one seemed to not want to just use his own sheathed...

Kuroi walked over and said, "Hello, My name is Kuroi Sora, 11th seat, 3rd Division, i was told that there would be a level playing field sparring session today..."

Katrex watched the shinigami enter and take up a wooden kendo sword.

Kuroi walked over and said, "Hello, My name is Kuroi Sora, 11th seat, 3rd Division, i was told that there would be a level playing field sparring session today..."

Katrex bowed and replied. "Astra katrex, Unseated... For now. You were told correctly, I set this up to provide a little inter squad fighting, and "He chuckled" to show off some of my skills"

He sized the person up, not on spiritual pressure but on all those things that were beaten in to him when he was alive. Stance demeanour, fire in the eyes, killing intent.
In pure skill kat measured him to be so close it would be impossible to tell. He smiled at this.
"I think this will be fun" he said readying his stance,"Begin when you're ready, unless there's anything else?"
He closed his eyes for a moment and blanked his mind, emotion and needlessly complex thoughts draining away from him.

Kuroi held the kendo 2 handed, in a formal battle stance... but all at once Kuroi dropped his guard and started bouncing around body angled away from his opponent... stick held in one hand on far right side of his body, he was ready to fight, but he would let the other man make teh first move as a curtoisy...

Katrex soon noticed the man wasn't going to strike first, so he quickly took the initiative. He dashed forward in a no nonsense, no opening but rather easy to block strike. Mostly to test his opponents strength and gage his reaction but also any advanced swordplay tricks that can be used to turn simple attacks like this against the attacker, though Kat knew all the counters to such moves. The other advantage is that the simple attack might hide his skill level and make his opponent underestimate him.

Kuroi wasn’t surprised by this mans quick eager attack, Kuroi was already in a position to counter. Kuroi jumped backward, but it was more like a side step the way he was facing, and he jumped right bac into the attack, using his forward momentum to reinforce his blow, Kuroi brought his Zanpaktou around blocking and trying to overpower the larger man since he would probably be off balance from missing the first strike.

Jin noticed the sign, and said, "this may be the break i need to learn from the good guys!" He walked into the dojo, but was immeditely blown back by reiatsu. "okay, not a good idea!" he said.

He braced himself against the dojo doorway and said, "hello? I am Jin Kazama, Academy Student. I have come to learn some sword techniques from you." He leaned against the wall and edged his way across, pressed against the wall by reiatsu.

As soon as he made his way to the wall closest to the two training Shinigami, he pulled out a bottle of his favourite drink, Sprite, and watched...

As Jin got bored of watching, he picked up a nearby kendo and raised his reiatsu to his fighting level. Slowed down by the amount of reiatsu around him, he asked, "could you slow down a bit so i can join in?" As he stepped in, one of the shinigami (kuroi) threw a thrust at him. Jin immediately noticed an opening, and proceeded to dodge to the side.

As he dodged, he readied his kendo for a strike to the shinigami's elbow. As he swung his kendo down to strike the shinigami's elbow, he dashed to the shinigami's front and made a heavy stabbing motion at the shinigami's stomach.
