Unavoidable fight.

Akuhei had been watching a soul for hours, making sure that there were no Shinigami waiting for him, or any Hollow for that matter. It seemed that the Soul Reapers liked to set traps and wait, and Akuhei was going to make sure that wouldn't happen. He had began to grow hungry due to the long wait, and that was on top of him already being hungry. He had waited long enough, he sensed Shinigami nearby, but this was his only chance at a meal, before his stay would be noticed. He lowered himself into a pouncing position, his front legs bent to lower him more, his back legs bent only slightly, then in one fluid motion he bounded out of the ally, his sharp claws digging into the asphalt and concrete for more friction, this would increase his momentum. But in an instant, out of the corner of his eye he saw the deadly flash of steel, the steel of a Zanpakuto, the weapon of a Shinigami. Akuhei had a split second to make his move, he would either push himself forward, in an attempt to out run the blade and get his meal, but the chances of succeeding were too low. Instead, he would increase his momentum, and push himself to the side.

This would have the blade miss, and keep him from getting wounded. At the same time, this would have the Shinigami off balance, and give Akuhei a chance to counter attack. But his attack did not come from his claws, but from his tail, which at the tip, was a naginata like blade. His tail would whip around at the Shinigami's face. Since the enemy was not stupid, or a novice, he would throw himself down to the ground and only receive a small gash on his cheek. But as he threw himself down, his forward momentum allowed his to fall not just down, but forward, and in doing this, he would slash with the blade, wounding Akuhei, in an attempt to kill him. Akuhei felt the burning sting of steel as it bit into his side. In a flash of anger, Akuhei struck out with his claws, slitting open the back of the Soul Reaper's neck. Blood poured from the vicious wound, creating a puddle as crimson as Akuhei's eyes. To meals, for the price of a wound. Akuhei always tried to avoid a fight with a Shinigami, but it seemed there was no choice.

Quickly Akuhei would feast on the Soul Reaper, he did not want to waste his time. The Soul Reaper was honorable, he did not scream, or beg. Akuhei laughed cruely, then turned to the human soul. The soul however, would scream as Akuhei devoured him. The vicious smile could not be on his face, but it was in his eyes, but soon, that would fade back into the docile, and child like quality as before.
