Personality: Xyliver is, in current terms, an emo. He doesn't like to socialize with people and never wants to talk to anyone. Even during emergency situations, he is rarely seen in the front lines and instead watches everything quietly. Due to this, Xyliver is also very observant. He is able to pick out things that people normally couldn't. However, due to his unsociable personality, he rarely tells anyone and instead drops hints on paper to people he knows need the information. If ever forced into battle, Xyliver is very lazy. He will wait for his opponent to attack before he does. However this doesn't mean that Xyliver is not good at fighting. Rather, he enjoys a game of cat and mouse more. But when he is really needed, Xyliver will become serious and will fight to the death. His undying loyalty to Soul Society is more overwhelming than his unsociable behavior and therefore, he will do his best for the SS and those in it.

Appearance: Xyliver appears to be a teenage boy, about the age of 17. He is usually dressed in shinigami attire and has his hair in a spiky fashion. His skin is pale from staying inside too long but is very smooth. His perceptive eyes are a pitch black, as if a realm of nothingness and there are thick eye bags below his droopy eyes. His mouth is normally in an expressionless line; just imagine L from Death Note in Shinigami outfit.

Sealed Zanpakutō : A steel katana with a wrapped black cloth hilt, a gold hilt that look like four eagle wings forming a "X" shape and a dark blue sheath that has a dragon moving down it in a lighter shade of blue. It measures to be about 25 inches in length, a bit longer than the average katana. When released, will glow in silver light.

History/Background: In the age of the Three Kingdoms. Middle eastern China. 227 A.D. January 2. An infant cries in the dead night. Two days ago, he was borne to a couple in the state of Wei. All was good. He had been named Zhi Shi, which meant Wise Rock, because his parents wanted him to be wise, but at the same time, as strong and sturdy a foundation as a rock. Now, he cries because he is thirsty. His mother feeds him some of her milk and lays him back into the bed. It is midnight. She returns to sleep. A difficult trial awaits mother and son soon. Zhi Shi's father, Zhi Yang, is still not back from war. No one knows what has happened except his general. Zhi Yang had been captured as a prisoner of war.

Zhi Shi grows up under the care and protection of his mother. But has never known his father, who is still imprisoned by his captors. Zhi Yang reveals nothing to his captors, even under the harshest punishment. With no other choice, his captors kill Zhi Yang, sending a message back to the general, who relays it to Zhi Yang's already saddened wife. She is heartbroken but focuses herself on raising Zhi Yang's child so that one day, he could avenge his father. Zhi Shi grows up to be a fine and wise young man. He is much more mature than others at his age, because he knows of the difficulties of life and that his father died in the heart of battle. Zhi Shi is also very strong, due to working in the farm day and night to earn an income to help his poor mother. Zhi Shi's mother still looks very young for her age, even after the tiring days of working.

Zhi Shi enlists into the army to fight for his country. His mother approves, wanting him to be just like his father. Zhi Shi proves to be a good fighter and quickly ascends to the second highest rank, the left hand of the same general his father served under. The general takes care of his former right hand man's son, and also acts like a father figure to Zhi Shi. Zhi Shi is only 17 when he enters his first war. It is a tough battle, both sides having many casualties and some deaths. Zhi Shi fights brave and hard for his country.

The battle ends with the Wei in victory. However, things are not looking good for Zhi Shi. He is bleeding profusely from a sneaky wound that he had been afflicted with. It was caused by a poison-tipped arrow and now the toxin was working it's way through his blood stream. He didn't have long to live. There was nothing anyone could do. By the time the doctor arrived, Zhi Shi had taken his last breath and went up to Soul Society under the immediate attention of a shinigami patrolling the area. Zhi Shi's mother cries and lives on, making pottery that till now, attracts the attention of many.

Zhi Shi wakes up in Soul Society, with no memory of who he is. His battle scars surround his body. He starts to learn simple phrases from people around him and makes money by working odd jobs. After a while, he moves into his own apartment and begins life anew, as a hermit. His new name does not come until later, when he meets a young girl. She is a shinigami and identifies his strong reishi, suggesting him to enter the Shinigami Academy. Zhi Shi accepts and enlists. When he finally graduates, he meets the girl once again and she asks him for his name. He thinks for a while and makes up a name.

Xyliver waits in the corner of the room, where nobody can see him. The reason for his waiting is that a new mission is about to commence. As a shinigami, he is frequently asked to eradicate hollows. He waits patiently for his assignment. Although no one can see him physically, people know that he is there through sensing his reiatsu, which he leaks out so that they can sense better. Xyliver keeps silent the whole time, waiting for what will happen next.

"Xyliver Ilrik Iruna! Team S, solo mission, defeat seven giant hollows that have been in Karakura Town for the past few days, trying to attack Pluses." His mission is given. A simple mission. Just destroy the necessary amount of hollows and return to base. It was relatively easy. Giant hollows were just hollows that were bigger. That was all. Nothing special about them. Xyliver closes his reiatsu "tap" and heads for the Senkai Gate to Karakura Town. The next few hours would be like a treasure hunt.

Soon, Xyliver arrives at Karakura Town. Period.
