Name: Shoon Takeshi
Age Appearance: 19
Actual Age: 79
Height: 5’9
Weight: 154 lbs
Gender: Male
Personality: Shoon is an antagonistic character that seeks to enjoy fights whenever he can and only chooses to fight with someone when it fills his personality to do so. Most people view him as a sadistic individual, but that is mostly due to the fact that he chooses to call into question the use of making bonds with other people. He believes that there is only one true justice in the world and it is the teaching of pain. His past haunts him because an incident took place which changed his life around and changed him into the individual that he is today. By nature he is rebellious of all forms of authority even if it means that he is going to be punished; this shows itself in things such as he refuses to use any honorifics when speaking to those deemed superior to him. Anyone that comes into contact with him immediately is given the impression of an untrustworthy individual from his manner of speaking.
Appearance: He is a dark colored individual with black hair that is spiked up much like, but some of the hair falls over his face despite the effort he puts into holding it up. Shoon’s appearance is that of a normal shinigami in terms of clothing apparel that he wears. The only deviation that can be seen between him and the average shinigami would be that he a unique set of earrings that was given to him by his childhood friend and the daughter of his child friend. On his right ear, he wears a rook shaped earring that was given to him by his friend from Rukongai and on his left ear he wears a knight shaped earring which was given to him years later by the daughter of his friend who was killed by shinigami. Underneath his shihakusho, Shoon chooses to wear bandages wrapped around his abdomen rather than the traditional white kimono that is worn underneath the top layer. Lastly, he tucks the ends of his hakama pants upward so that they don’t flow around or pick up dirt and also to showcase his use of black socks as opposed to the white socks everyone wears with their sandals.
Sealed Zanpakutō: Shoon’s zanpakutou is a chokuto which is a katana with no guard so that the blade extends directly from the hilt of the weapon. The hilt is a decorated with three red circles divided into three equal parts on either side of its base. The hilt itself is completely black with a red lacings wrapped around it in a criss-cross manner that goes over the circles that are inscribed into the place. The sheath is designed to fit the unique design of the blade and ensures that Shoon will have easy access to his zanpakutou when quickly drawing it out. The actual blade itself is a bit shorter than the average katana so that it can accommodate the fact that there is a no guard to support it, but this allows the wielder greater maneuverability when slashing. Since the blade is shorter this means that the user is at a disadvantage in range when facing those who wield weapons with long range such as a nodachi, but this is overcome by the ability of the user to transition through their movements.
History/Background: Shoon grew up in Rukongai and lived with people who he had always thought of as family since they had taken care of him for long time. It was during this time period that Shoon always met his best friend in Rukongai, Kosu. In his district, Shoon was known as one of the foremost fighters even greater than his friend Kosu who was a member of the legendary Raikichi Oni gang. It was rumored that there were members in this gang that could fight on even grounds with shinigami which was why Kosu had joined. Before his time with the revered gang, Shoon had been training with a sensei in martial arts, but one day after a training session the young boy ran into Kosu and his friends. The two personalities clashed from the moment that they saw each other and a fight ensued, a fight that Shoon won handily as he was not only well trained, but he was considered a genius in combat by his teacher.
Kosu, who had been hailed as a good fighter in the Raikichi Oni gang was surprised at how well the young boy could fight and later came to his house to make him join the gang. Overtime, the two became close friends and eventually they became like brothers, fighting battles for the soul purpose of progressing each other’s standing in the world while enjoying it. Kosu had been known for his battle prowess as a strategist and with Shoon’s fighting strength, the two became quite famous throughout Rukongai as well as the Raikichi Oni gang. They became so famous in the gang that one day Kosu came to Shoon’s house with the announcement that the two had been called to serve right beside Tenshi Raikichi, the leader of the Raikichi Oni gang. Shoon didn’t really care about any of this, but he wanted to help his friend to ascend through the ranks so he decided to make the trip along with Kosu.
Things didn’t go as planned when Shoon, Kosu and the other members that had been chosen to serve under Tenshi realized that they had been betraying by their leader into the forests of hollows. Everyone, but Shoon was killed in the incident and Kosu ended up sacrificing his own laugh in order to preserve the youth’s life which left Shoon feeling indebted to Kosu’s dream of purifying the world from evil. Knowing that the only way that he could attain the power to fulfill the dream that Kosu had which he was reminded of by the rook earring, Shoon signed up to join the Gotei 13 in hopes of becoming stronger. It was during his time that he met with Kosu’s daughter, Bellemere, but there acquaintance wasn’t long because she was killed on an assassination assignment because she was the descendent of a high ranking Raikichi Oni member, Kosu. It was hear that the shinigami became aware of all the underhanded deeds that had taken place because of the Gotei 13, who were responsible for both Bellemere’s assassination and the destruction of the Raikichi Oni.
This forced Shoon into a state of relentless vengeance and he vowed that he would bring the Gotei 13 organization crumbling to the foundation even if he had to become a monster to do so. The path that had simply involved doing what was right for the world became a blood stained stairway to hell which Shoon willingly accepted and would carry out with no regret at all. He now dons both the knight earring that he had received when he had met Bellemere before her death and the rook shaped earring that he had received during the time that he had spent with Kosu in Rukongai. Tossing away the things that he had once viewed as important principals, Shoon has adopted the philosophy that involved pain being the only way that one could evolve into something greater. From here he looks to change the face of Soul Society and all three worlds with the path that is carved out by the blade in his hand.

Rp sample: Shoon sat on in his 3rd squad apartment with his hand resting in chin as he stared out of the window at the downpour that occurred outside, “It would seem the stars are hidden on a rainy night…” he sighed. Turning away from the window the shinigami looked down at his chest and noticed how hungry he was, but he didn’t bother to move instead choosing to remain seated upon his bed. It had been awhile since he had even been truly happy and he knew that he wouldn’t be happy again until the day that he perished, but that didn’t bother him since he knew that it was this lesson that would allow him to continue to get stronger. He rose now to see whether there was anything in the kitchen that he could quickly make to eat since the growling in his stomach wouldn't cease its incessant rumbling, "I wonder whether Bellemere had a final dinner before she was butchered to death..." he quietly thought to himself. As he thought about the joyful, blue-haired girl his hand twitched slightly and he dropped the ceramic plate that he had been holding in his hand; watching the plate fall towards the ground in slow motion Shoon knew that he could have easily stretched out his hand and caught it, but he didn't.
Something compelled him to simply watched the plate fell many inches until it finally struck the ground and shattered to many pieces as the young shinigami watched impassively from his spot; the fragments flew into all the corners in the room with no exception. A piece landed by landed by Shoon's foot and he studied, taking in with detail the intricate lines on the inner side of the plate that ran in many different direction; he couldn't understand what had caught his attention about the piece so he reached down and picked it up. Since he had not gotten dressed, he was still in his boxers and a cold draft had slipped under the door carrying along with it the moisture of the cold stillness that was outside seemingly calling to him with a strange softness. Looking back towards the door, Shoon cursed as he threw the fragment of the plate back onto the ground and made his way to the fridge without bothering to watch out for the sharp pieces that now littered the floor of the kitchen. As he made his way the fridge on the other side of the room trails of blood leaked from his heel as he continued to trudged onwards, apparently completely oblivious to the damage that he was doing to his body in the process.
Opening the fridge the man quickly grabbed a meager slice of cheese along with some crackers that he had been saving from when he had gone to see Bellemere only to find out that she had been killed and her body parts skewered across the very cabin which she had been living in. When he had initially grabbed the food from her storage he hadn't necessarily been looking for it, he had actually been looking for clues as to who had been her killer, but instead he found the slice of cheese and a few crackers resting on a cabinet shelf. It seemed that it had been the last bits of food that the girl had left to eat, but it wouldn't have mattered since on that day she had been destined to die at the hands of a shinigami assassin; a person who had been assigned by the very organization he had joined. The villagers had watched as he found her body and seen him fill with remorse, but instead they asked him to calm down, they asked him why he would take food from a dead girl. That's what had set him off in the 45th district, at least that was what had sent him spiraling down the path that he was on today and then it struck him that if they had simply asked another question he may have let them live.
As he sat on the fragment littered floor images of screaming people and splattered blood filled his mind as he chewed on the repugnant cheese that had the same salty taste as warm blood spilling into one's mouth just after they have slashed open a major artery. Lifting a cracker to help him swallow down the bloody tasting cheese, Shoon could the image of the old man that had begged for mercy when he had pinned him to the ground and then he saw himself unsheathe his zanpakutou only to drive it into the back of the man's retina. Laughing slightly as he plopped the cracker into his mouth, Shoon realized that he was tired; tired of fighting against his comrades that now distrusted him and revered him as a blood thirsty killer which was what he was, tired of having to listen to everyone speak about a meaningless goal that they accomplished, but most of all he was tired of not being allowed to cut someone. The only time that he felt as if he was doing the task that he had set out to do was when he could see the blood of another individual dripping slowly from the end of his blade. So in order to rid himself of this sense of uselessness, the decrepit soul of a shinigami began to think back to his academy days where he had been a sarcastic, but jovial genius whom everyone loved because he was destined to be something great and not a monster.
