Kurama Himura - Hollow [WIP]

Personality: Kurama is a cool, calm, and collected person. He is often viewed as cold-hearted and borderline cruel. A shell of his former shinigami self. Though capable of masking this in order to trick or even manipulate others.

Appearance: White haired with a blue tint. He commonly wears the attire he was killed in. White garments and a black breastplate, both now worn and tattered from the strenuous years spent in Hueco Mundo. In his hollow form he resembles a snow leopard.

Special Characteristics: Kurama has a passive reiatsu ability that allows him to lower the temperature around him with or without realizing it. Lower ranking people feel involuntary shivers down their spine. This ability in no way affects his powers or will have negative effects on others. It is merely for RP flavor.

However you may only spend them in increments of 5 and no one attribute may begin with more than 50 points in it.)

Sealed Zanpakutō :
The sealed blade is a regular katana, with a blade length of about 80 cm. The katana is characterized by its curved, slender, single edged blade, squared guard, and long grip to accommodate two hands. The color of the blade has a faint blue shimmer to it and is rather cool to the touch.

History/Background:
Kurama Himura's life as a human is a complete blur to him. He'd died twice now and it was hard enough remembering his human years after the first death though if he had to guess he'd say that it was a short lived life of little importance. To be entirely honest he wouldn't be wrong. His human life ended when he was 23 after he'd slipped and fell on a patch of ice, causing him to crack his skull open on the pavement below. In the dead of winter, no one was out in the streets let alone the alleyways such as the one found himself  lying unconscious in. It wasn't long before he bled out, though it wasn't until the street sweepers came through the following day did anyone discover his body. He made the front page of the paper that day. It said "Accident Befalls College Track Star", it wasn't until he had become a frozen stiff that they had acknowledged his talent for track and field let alone refer to him as a star.

When he began his life in the Soul Society, it proved to be no more successful than his human one. He lived his life in poverty amongst the other pluses in the Junrinan district of West Rukongai until he'd befriended a young shinigami who held an unranked seat in the tenth squad of the Gotei 13. This man told Kurama tales of combat and heroism which eventually led to his fascination with the shinigami and eventual entry into the academy. He graduated the academy earlier than most due to the fact that had had exhibited tremendous potential though not before being exiled until he could pass the final test, to learn the name of his zanpakuto. Kurama trained long and hard but eventually returned successful. For this he was rewarded with a seated position in squad 10, though his former friend had perished only a short time before Kurama joined the thirteen court guard squads.

As he rose through the ranks, Kurama eventually became the Captain of Squad 10. As head of the investigation squad, he found himself sticking his nose in places that it didn't belong. The corruption of the central 46 members became known to many shinigami at that point. After a failed assassination attempt on his life and the murder of his fellow captain Ri O'nocht, Kurama fled the Seireitei and started up a rebellion against those loyal to the corrupt government body. Unfortunately things had gotten way out of hand and Kurama found himself captured by members of the Onmitsukidō. Despite the fact that Kazumi Kato, a young woman whom Kurama was in a more or less intimate relationship with, was a high ranking member of the Onmitsukidō, she was unable to keep Kurama from being put to death.

Now the ex-captain was a hollow crawling through the desert, ever hungry for souls. He spent many years doing just that, only making to the human realm once or twice for a snack. He was lucky enough to not be killed by a shinigami or other powerful being, or so he thought. Truth was that many of the hollow were able to hunt relatively unrestricted due to a war raging in that background between the shinigami and the quincy. Many of these souls had been either returned to the human realm or destroyed completely by the quincies' arrows. The flow of spirits became unbalanced, and after the death of the Soul King, the soul society itself began to tear itself apart. As a result, rifts between the worlds began to sporadically form, allowing for lesser hollows such as himself to move more or less freely between dimensions without the help of menos grande or arrancar.

This is when Kurama began to rapidly grow in power. Left unchecked, he was able to clear entire cities of spirits and even humans when it appeased him. It wasn't long before he had evolved into the arrancar he was now.
