Viedogame myths debunked - A nice little article about videogames. Do video games encourage violence? Can videogames make you smarter? These questions and more are looked at in the Escapist story. I recommend everyone to read it. I gotta say it makes sense on all accounts.

Well I was watching the news (I know it's a bad habit, but I do like knowing watching going on.) and it seems the "Videogames makes kids violent" bit came up. I found it funny since I recall making this link barely a day ago. That aside I'm sorely reminded of the Southpark Movie. You know that song "Blame Canada". Feel free to google it, too lazy to do so now. Cliff notes version the song is blaming Canada for the boys' bad behavior. The end of the song pretty much "Blame something before people start blaming us." Yes, the parents want to shift blame onto the video game they sit there kids in front of. The TV/movies they watch. But parenting isn't a factor in how kid behave. Nope, not in the slightest. >.<
