Rawlen walked around the city streets after leaving the inn that he stayed at. He could feel the cool breeze roll through his hair, and was reminded of the days back when he fought along side his special forces. He walked to a park and sat down, as he recalled the events from his special forces days:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The streets of Brooklyn were cold, even for Rawlen, as he marched through them. Just a few hours ago his platoon had dropped in from a cargo plane. They had knocked down the Armed Forces base in New York prior to the invasion, so Rawlen and his squad, Alpha Squad, didn't have to worry about being attacked by a superior force before setting up a Forward Operating Base. He had done reconnaissance on this area for quite a while, well before the invasion, so he had an idea of what was going on. There goal was to push down from New York, down through the East coast, knocking out Grand Central Station, Then down to Washington DC, where they would mark the Pentagon for a Cruise Missile Strike. Bravo Squad was tasked with simultaneously marching up from Florida, taking out different intel spots, and marching up to Virginia, to take out high intel spots like Quantico Marine Corps Base, and all the naval bases along the way. Bravo squad had more land to cover, however for that reason, the Russian military gave them the bonus of having tanks and armored personnel carriers. Rawlen's Squad was more of a Commando detachment. They dropped in quick and silent. Their drop was during the night, so visibility was low. That worked with and against them, as they equipped silencers to their guns. They stormed into a large bank on the street. Rawlen kicked down the door and his point man, Viktor, charged in with a silenced AK-47 Assault rifle. He turned to the left to see two guards already pulling pistols from their holsters. He squeezed the trigger as four rounds jumped from the barrel, three hitting in the chest, stopped by the bullet proof vest. The fourth one was just above the vest due to recoil, as it pierced through the mans throat, rupturing the vital parts. The man dropped to the ground, clasping at his neck. He wasn't dead, but he was in lots of pain and was forced to endure the pain until bleeding out. Viktor looked over his shoulder and called out the new information to the squad. "Headshots only, comrades! Protective gear on chest!" He called out as the second member of the four man squad,Niko, rushed in, turning to the left. He saw a third guard with his pistol already drawn. He fired a shot which whizzed by his head. Niko squeezed the trigger of an MP5 silenced Sub-Machine gun. He fired two shots, the first one grazing the man's hand, causing him to drop the gun. The second shot hit the right eye of the guard as he dropped like a rock, dead before he hit the ground. Rawlen charged into the room quickly after the first two, pulling out a silenced M9 9mm pistol. He fired two shots that punched through the second gaurd on the left. In the matter of 3 seconds, 3 guards had been taken out. Rawlen holstered his pistol as he motioned towards a hallway where more guards were coming through, pistols drawn. Rawlen swung around his M14, Semi-automatic Rifle, which was silenced as well. He fired round after round, dropping each guard as they came through the opening. They slowly moved as a team towards the back of the bank, where the tellers were. Rawlen motioned for the other two to cover him as he moved towards the tellers, who were already on the ground. He bashed the glass with the butt of his rifle and looked over the counter to see a little red light blinking.
"Hey boss, You have incoming forces. Looks like American SWAT Teams. Permission to engage?" The sniper on a rooftop across from the bank, Nikki called out the information, requesting permission to shoot down the SWAT members with her silenced L96A1 Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle. She had pulled out the legs on the tripod and had already set up on the ledge of the rooftop, dialing in her reticle to focus the image through her scope. The center of her scope was already dialed on a man who seemed to be giving orders.
"Denied! I can't have my sniper being taken out before our real mission even begins. Just sit pretty for now. We will call in when we need you, and trust me Nikki, We will need you." Rawlen gave his orders as he called to the other two members. "Looks like we have company men. No need to keep this a secret any longer." he said with a smirk as slung his M14 across his back once again. Niko brought over a bag and placed it on the ground. He unzipped it and grabbed the Remington 870 Tactical Shotgun. Rawlen laughed as he grabbed the Kalashnikov PK-LMG. He moved it to the counter with the broken glass. He took off his tactical vest, removed his shirt and wiped away the glass. He was only wearing a brown tank top shirt as he placed down the legs of the bipod. He adjusted the gun to be aiming down through the door as the other two took their spots.
