Kuro's Kido Practice Empty
PostSubject: Kuro's Kido Practice   Kuro's Kido Practice I_icon_minitimeFri Aug 17, 2012 2:32 am

Kuro had put some distance between himself and other traces of life today. Out in a distant district of the Rukongai far from the Seireitei and not near any villages, he prepared to learn a new kido that he'd read up on in the library the other day. It was a powerful piece of demon arts that was far more dangerous than any kido Kuro had learned up to this point. He didn't want to end up hurting others while learning to harness such power. Sitting down on the cracked dirt of the Rukongai, Kuro pulled a piece of paper out of his robes and began to read aloud to refresh the information in his mind. "Senjū Kōten Taihō. An advanced offensive kido spell that attacks an enemy from multiple positions by generating a number of energy points that all fire towards the indicated focal point, resulting in a devastating explosion." Kuro looked up from the paper to survey the surroundings. An open stretch of dry land that had no trees or much of anything besides the occasional large rock sitting on the ground. There was nothing to worry about damaging while he practiced this kido. He lowered his gaze again to continue reading. "Incantation for the spell is as follows: Limit of the thousands hands, respectful hands, unable to touch the darkness. Shooting hands unable to reflect the blue sky. The road that basks in light, the wind that ignited the embers, time that gathers when both are together, there is no need to be hesitant, obey my orders. Light bullets, eight bodies, nine items, book of heaven, diseased treasure, great wheel, grey fortress tower. Aim far away, scatter brightly and cleanly when fired"

Kuro looked up in thought trying to digest what he'd just read. "Boy, that's a long chant." He stood up and dusted himself off before he began to focus his energy for kido generation. Raising one hand out to point at a nearby rock, he began to recite the incantation for the spell. "Limit of the thousands hands, respectful hands, unable to touch the darkness. Shooting hands unable to....unable to..." he held up the sheet again with his other hand to confirm the words he'd forgotten. "Oh right, 'reflect the blue sky.'" He started from the beginning again after reading the chant through a few more times in his head. "Limit of the thousands hands, respectful hands, unable to touch the darkness. Shooting hands unable to reflect the blue sky. The road that basks in light, the wind that ignited the embers, time that gathers when both are together, there is no need to be hasty, obey my orders....wait that didn't sound right." Kuro had to grab the paper again and read the incantation through to discover his mistake. "Hesitant, not hasty. Wow this is harder than I thought."

Determined not to make any more mistakes, Kuro sat down again and spent a half an hour studying and quietly reciting the spell. When he was sure that he had the chant memorized, he stood up again and assumed his stance once again, targeting the same rock as before. His energy flowed freely as he called upon his memory to word the spell perfectly. "Limit of the thousands hands, respectful hands, unable to touch the darkness. Shooting hands unable to reflect the blue sky. The road that basks in light, the wind that ignited the embers, time that gathers when both are together, there is no need to be hesitant, obey my orders. Light bullets, eight bodies, nine items, book of heaven, diseased treasure, great wheel, grey fortress tower. Aim far away, scatter brightly and cleanly when fired. Hado number ninety-one: Senjū Kōten Taihō!"

Kuro's energy surged as ten pink balls of energy formed in the air all around him while reciting the spell. At its completion, the balls all shot at Kuro's targeted rock, converging at its center as they reached their goal and burst in a large explosion that rocked the ground beneath Kuro's feet before throwing him off balance due to his close proximity to his chosen target. Standing back up and rubbing his head, Kuro berated himself for such a foolish move, regardless of his success in casting the kido. "Real smart Kuro, testing such a high level spell on a close target like that." Looking over at the area the rock had stood, Kuro say nothing but stone fragments and a large crater carved into the ground, all singed black. He was pleased with the turnout, and began to focus his energy again to cast again for additional practice. Choosing this time to fire into the sky, he set his sight on a random empty spot and recited, : "Limit of the thousands hands, respectful hands, unable to touch the darkness. Hado number ninety-one: Senjū Kōten Taihō!" The balls formed and fired again, converging in the air to erupt in a violent flash that filled the sky with a brilliant pink light. He didn't doubt that those in the Seireitei could probably see the display. But not wanting to end his practice just yet, Kuro focused his power one more time, again aiming into the heavens.

Hado number ninety-one: Senjū Kōten Taihō!" The resulting explosion bursting in the sky scattered the clouds that hung above and blocked out the shine of the sun for several seconds. Kuro smiled and began to return to the Seireitei, all the while looking at his paper and reading the spell so that it was sure to stick in his mind for good.
