Personality:He is a nice kid, but also has to fend for himself. He will lie and cheat if he needs to and he is not above acting to take advantage of people to get things he wants or needs. He will also resort to stealing if need be. Other than that he is generally a nice and giving kid. He judges people heavily upon his first impression of them and acts upon that in social interactions. All he really wants to do is have fun and enjoy himself, but real world problems often intrude on that.

It is an extremely heavy weapon, though shin doesn't know that.
It is able to be locked in Retracted or Extended state, its cap reach at extended state is 40 feet, however he does not need to extend it that far in extended form, he can lock it at any length.
The mechanics work very much like Renji's weapon if that helps you understand,
Also while in extended form it can be forcefully retracted, and the serrated edges will act almost like a chainsaw while retracting.

History:He knows nothing of his life before arriving in the rukongai. Over the past few years he has been living off the food and water that people give him. He was quite frustrated to learn that most people don't actually need to eat, but for some reason he does. He asked people for food at first, but none would give him any, the few that did give him food, it was never enough, sometimes he stole food and sometimes he worked as a courier or some other odd job that he could find. He also spends time with other kids his age and having fun.He has no current home but resides around district 5 in went rukongai where people are nicer and more likely to give him things.
Role Playing Sample: Once again the teams were arguing over who got him. This was becoming a problem for him lately, he was so much faster than everyone else that it became extremely unfair to the team he was against. He looked at the two team captains arguing, then they suddenly seemed to come to an agreement. One of the Captains came over and told him he was too fast and it would be unfair to the other team if he played so he wouldn't be allowed to play with them anymore. Shin was heartbroken, this was one of the few things he could look forward to, and now it was taken from him. It wasn't fair! Just because he was better than them he wasn't allowed to play?!? He glared unhappily at the Captain, then left them to their game to find something else to do.
I'm going to start Shin out living in rukongai, and eventually have him apply to the academy and become a shinigami, but it will be a while, at least a few ranks. or at least that is my intention.
